Hi , The route you took for Ooty is the longer one , usually it is used while leaving Ooty , the shorter route is having 36 hairpin bends which is why that is faster, as it helps you climb till Ooty faster. Anyways both routes are beautiful in their own way. Visit Ooty lake, botanical garden and for sunset visit rose garden 😍actually sunset in Ooty is beautiful from everywhere.
