@@xwario I was just surprised that there would be a speed run category there. However - I think if you check it - your score beats it hands down as I don't know that anyone is really paying attention to it. TBH - I still haven't made it thru the advanced levels and I have been playing it for 35 years...
That's interesting. I have to say, however, that I use savestates for my playthroughs. That means I save the game status whenever I want and reload it if I don't succeed. This is the only way I can make a longplay video without losing millions of lives in it. It would be unfair to compare myself to others. I just want to show how a game looks and sounds, especially on the C64 Mini.
@@xwario I run emulators for most of my old school stuff so I also use save states - But hey - we admit it - it's not like our names are Billy Mitchell ;)
Ha ha ha. No, I can only dream of that. I'm happy when I can play through a game at all. Sometimes I don't even make it to the end with savestates. (Which frustrates me so much that I bite into the gamepad. Which meanwhile has a worrying number of bite marks.) :-)
Well played mate! The only thingi miss in this game is some ingame music cos i think the sfx will drive everybody in the house crazy after a while...:-)
Yeah. Time to get that Iron Maiden record "Piece of mind" out of the Vinyl deeps (which also appeared in 1983 like the game), turn the volume to max and sing along to "Die with your boots on". Well... at last till someone calls the police. :-)
Apparently at the TWIN GALAXIES WEBSITE there is a category for High Score and Speed Run for this game.
Thanks for pointing this out. I guess I'm not particularly good at either category. I only play for fun.
