Fun facts about clowns: they weren't supposed to entertain children originally. They were supposed to be serious and sad. And it's almost a religion to be a clown. For example, the clowns soul resides in the nose and you have to treat it with respect. Never hold it improperly or put it on improperly. You have to hold it in the palm of your hand. Never in the string or by your fingertips. And you should always keep your head down when putting it on and you do it with your eyes closed. I took a clown course once and this is not a joke. I thought the teacher was messing with us at first but that was not the case. I don't know if all branches of clownery does this but this is a French branch.
I was taught by a clown in the US, everything was the same except the emphasis was on making sure your back was turned, not necessarily with the head down. I also don't remember anything about not holding the nose by the fingers, but I definitely remember being told you couldn't hold it by the string. Same with masks. Italian masked theatre, the mask is the soul of the character; you can't hold the mask by the eyes or string. It always must be held in the hand, preferably the handS plural.
This is both creepy, unsettling and at the same time interesting. I wonder why, or how it really came to be, or what's the reason behind it. And why it became so popular with children and how it's portrayed, albeit creepy, and all, but are mostly portrayed as a jokey, goofy entertainer. Im interested about the whole "Dont do this, because of this" thing, almost as if there's a deeper meaning, in which there probably is, but not something like "Dont hold it there because it might break, or might cause problems", but instead called "The soul of the character" which is both freaky and interesting.
A little help for all the people that are confused or to remind them: Jack walten went missing, Rosemary is his wife who, in an attempt to find him in the K9 Storage, got killed amd stuffed into Sha the sheep. Ashley got killed and possessed billy the clown. the gril that was in the purple bunny was still alive when she got stuffed and wandered the place to find an exit but as the tape said it is easy to get lost and she starved to death hence the "the rabbit is starving" recording that was shown. Felix continued his business without jack and that's all i can say without including spoilers from the next episode. i hope this helped clear some things up :)

I interpreted it as Jack Walten was the one in the blue bunny and bc his wife Rosemary went to find him and technically "found him" (the rabbit animatronic) behind the stage, he recognised her, was telling her she was beautiful and killed her and put her into Sha.

Holy shit Ashley's 10 full seconds of screams of absolute terror and agony was BY FAR the most disturbing thing I've ever seen/heard in a very long fucking time
Especially the description that follows after explaining? Its terrifying and unsettling reading that “she was in the back rooms screaming as much as she could but no one heard the screams” and “Ashley is still there, but she is not screaming anymore.”
Sean you should look up old Disney park stories, about how people got hurt, and parts of the park that they have mysteriously shut down. There is definitely big name companies out there that have had their share of tragedy and haven't shut down or sometimes even acknowledge that there was an incident. But anyways thank you always for your content! People have gotten kicked out before because they’ve openly asked employees about that stuff! One of my close friends has actually been kicked out for it.
Martin Walls had a few off-canon videos that are also incredible, namely “The Mysterious House,” which is impressively the only piece of media in all my hunting of the horror genre to get to me. Would highly recommend it, as it’s also a fairly short watch.
what i really like about twf is that is focuses more on the harsh realities of how it feels to be murdered and stuffed in a suit. slowly decaying, knowing that you found something you werent supposed too. my fav analog horror series!
The lore portion is that these people we see are being made "Beautiful" by dying near or in animatronics or items. In recent information we were given ghosts in this universe will possess anything related to their death. We don't know what happened to Jack after he went missing but its highly inferred he possesses Bon. Rosemary Walten was Jack's wife and was killed by bon and went on to possess the Sha animatronic. Susan Woodings possesses Banny although you'll get more info on that in future Walten Files vids. Felix calls himself the sole founder after Jack goes missing and spent four years erasing the Walton name from bunny smiles. Which is a little suspicious.
I don't think this is a spoiler as it is highly implied in this video. But Susan died inside of banny not by the stuffing but by starving to death when unable to move. This is told through the "The rabbit is starving" section to imply Susan was trying to escape to get food but was unsuccessful
@𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 hate channels baffle me with the fact that people are depraved enough to make them. the fact that you’ve posted a video called “HAPPY DADSEPTICEYE DEATH DAY” screams “i want attention and have no morals.”
For those curious about the message at 5:02, Jack got a bit close with the message. It says “You finally start to remember. That old doll. We will be back for you soon, Sophie.” Sophie actually shows up a few times in the tapes, if you look closely
I thought it said “ that old day” instead of “that old doll” but I could be wrong. I think there was a doll mentioned in one of the videos. So you could be right 😅
Your theory on Felix killing Jack may be correct. Spoilers ahead: In the Bunnyfarm video, which is the longest in the Walten Files saga by far, the 2nd half of that video explains how Felix was drunk at a Spring party for Ed & Molly’s school (Ed & Molly are Jack’s son & daughter respectively; keep these names in mind). Sophie is Ed & Molly’s sibling. Felix accidentally killed them while trying to get them home safely, due to Felix’s unhealthy alcoholic habits & the fact that he was driving under the influence & over the limit. Where he crashed his car & killed Jack’s children is St. Juana’s forest, the same forest that the K-9 storage facility is located. In another video after that (I forgot the name of it), Felix is recording how he messed up & realized that Bon’s Burgers would open in only a few weeks. For some reason, I’m led to believe that Felix told Jack the truth, that he killed his children by accident. An altercation must’ve broken out in secret between Felix & Jack, which then led to him killing Jack & brainwashing the public into thinking he went missing (when, in reality, he supposedly was stuffed inside Bon). Felix must’ve cleaned up all the evidence of any signs of an altercation before Jack could get the word out. Anyone & everyone else who found out about Felix’s dark history would soon be killed & stuffed in other animatronics. The victims of Felix by proxy are: Susan (the mechanic & inventor of the animatronics; she was stuffed inside Banny), Charles (possibly a private investigator, though that’s yet to be decided; he went missing on the 14th of July & is possibly stuffed into Boozoo the Ringleader), Rosemary (Jack’s wife; she was stuffed inside Sha), Brian (another facility caretaker) & Ashley (yet another facility caretaker; she was stuffed inside Billy the Clown). The only one who was able to discover the truth, in the Bunnyfarm video, was Sophie. This was after she played the game further that she eventually realized that Felix was the person who killed all those people all along, and that she was given medication (as shown in part 2 of the Company Introductory Tape) to suppress her memories & keep her distracted. Felix used the K-9 storage facility as a means to lie low until he could eventually bring Bon’s Burgers back. He must’ve believed that people were stupid enough to fall for the reopening of Bon’s Burgers, but he 1.) Must’ve forgotten that some people remember Bon’s Burgers’ shutdown, and 2.) Now forgets that Sophie remembers what happened & will soon pay for his crimes.
Jack, something to note is that Felix Kranken and Jack Walten were both co-founders of the Bon’s Burgers corporation. Notice how in the second video (Relocate Project), Jack Walten is almost erased from the founder position, and Felix completely takes all credit and ownership of the company. In all the clips, we see Felix in multiple versions at the foreground.
The Walten Files wears all of its influences pretty openly on its sleeve, and I really enjoy how it draws inspiration from multiple horror sources and folds them into its own distinctive fever dream aesthetic. The FNAF comparison is obvious, but there are moments where it gives off classic found footage/SCP/Local58/Backrooms vibes or references (I mean there's a literal area called "the backdoors.") There's also that face-warping animation I forget the name of, not to mention all the original aspects. IDK I just like the variety of cool things that make this series what it is.
I don’t think it draws inspiration from the backrooms specifically more than it does the idea of all the gory stuff happening in the doors behind the restaurant, as it does in Fnaf. Calling it “the backrooms,” is really just a Fnaf neutral way of saying “parts and services.” There are definitely SCP, Local 58 and Petscop references along with obviously Fnaf, but I don’t think the backrooms was one of them (at least with what we’ve seen so far)
@@kiera6326 I think the influence/inspiration shows itself in how Ashley is getting worn out by how many doors she's checked, but that's a good point, it's maybe more of a mix of both.
Seeing Jack react to the walten files gave me an IMENSE feeling of joy Edit: if you look at the official playlist there will be unlisted videos that are heavily lore related!!!
Don't the video descriptions also frame each video as being presented by an entirely different third party? There's definitely a lot of lore to be gained by going through the whole playlist!
Jack: *Mentions Chuck-E-Cheese Me: *Gets flashbacks of how absolutely terrifying the animatronics and the suit was as a wee little girl in the 90's* Well, that's going to haunt my nightmares again... From what I heard The Walten Files was originally going to be a FNAF fan project that became it's own stand alone thing. That's why there are so many references. Still the art style and voice acting make the Walten Files stand out among analog horror. I had chills when watching it for the first time.
also must add that there was a massive analog horror fnaf wave (of Fnaf-VHS videos) when leaving 2019 and entering 2020. lowkey, i don't see them referenced & recommended much now that analog horror is on every channel i watch. but there was some really nice vids in that bunch of videos. i still see some being made. if anyone's curious, "Sound Response Check" is a good one (there are two of them)
That explains a lot because I was starting to feel like the similarities bordered on copyright infringement 😂 but if it was originally a FNAF fan game that makes much more sense
Yes Jack PLEASE keep watching these, episode 4 is in progress right now as well and I've been waiting on the edge of my seat. Now this is the kind of horror that I missed since Silent Hill. Sure there's the trope of never showing the monster, but I've always thought that showing an extremely unsettling and disturbing monster really enhances the whole experience dramatically. Amazing stuff.
"Oh, our bunny killed someone and the guy who was supposed to keep track of everything got killed too? Eh, we'll just move to Texas" I feel like this scenario is more realistic than you may be giving it credit for
Yep, and once you cross lines that even Texas won't save you from, you move to Tijuana. It's how like every "absolutely monstrous medical scam" or "legitimately evil cult" story I've heard in the last few years goes. Unless, in the middle, there's a step where they try to become governor of their state and/or texas.

Ah that didn’t happen where I lived, there was a water park where a kid died because a slide fell apart while he was on it, and they basically were ran out of town by angry citizens
The cannon ball slide. Tho.... The fact they added a hatch because so many people got stuck... And the test dummy got DECAPITATED!!! and they still said.. "yeah this is good"... I still don't even... No
The two classical songs you were ranting about were Mozart, both from his Requiem, the first was the Dies Irae and the second was the Lacrimosa. A requiem is typically a musical piece written for a (catholic) funeral mass, where people are remembering and mourning the dead. Although he didn't fully finish it in life (it was finished by his students after he died), Mozart's requiem is widely known by many people, and regarded as one of his greatest works.
@C'thulhu, The Old God of Madness Mozart was definitely a musical genius, but there are many other composers who we should remember and celebrate too! Many games/shows use well-known works due to the effects of pop-culture osmosis, (i.e. they use it because it has been used before and people know what the song "means" or "feels like" without explanation, e.g. Mozart's Lacrimosa, Beethoven's Fur Elise, Benny Hill Yakety Sax), and this is a fine way to make a show/game. However creators should also try to look for opportunities to use lesser-known music because there are amazing composers that were/are black, asian, indiginous, women, etc., who aren't as frequently highlighted, but still made beautiful music. (Also this isn't about disparaging classical composers, I love their music too!) Thanks for reading my soapbox TedTalk lol have an awesome day :)
My guess on why these franchises reuse animatronics is, of course, the cost, not just money-wise, but also saving time from ordering/delivering parts, research, etc. From what I've seen with this and FNAF, the companies had to close down and reopen, which would most likely mean that the company already suffered a downward spiral financially, and their bad rep might have cut supplier connections, thus resorting to reusing. I don't really know how much animatronics cost in their timeline but it might've been really expensive considering it was early tech.
It might’ve been been something to do with jack walton (the bad rep I mean) cause in that founder picture jacks cut off and only feliix is there but jacks arm is still there from the old photo
That intro was legitimately unsettling. There's just something about an Irish guy standing in the corner of a room, whispering in my ear though he's turned away... ...just freaks me out, man. Great job, Sean!

One thing I REALLY appreciate about Jack’s video is that he doesn’t hurt his viewer’s ears. The volume of the video is turned down so it stays the same volume, unlike most reactions to these videos where they don’t mess with the volume of the video and it kinda sucks more people don’t do this. A HUGE thank you to Jack’s editor for making that decision!

Okay as a classically trained musician, that frustration of trying to figure out a piece is SUCH a struggle. But I'm impressed he got the piece right, even if it wasn't the right movement!
Walten Files does such a good job at unsettling you with the imagery rather than throwing jumpscares and loud noises at you Never have I been more disturbed and unsettled than I have been watching this series
Squimpus McGrimpus' FNAF VHS tape series is very similar to the Walton Files-- and I assume Walton Files were inspired by them, too. If you liked these, you'll LOVE Squimpus' work. It's honestly much more polished and subtle in its scare factors. Nothing has quite been able to match them, in my opinion.
Episode 3 seems daunting because it's an hour long, but it's the best one for sure, it's essentially an actual indie horror film, just made primarily by a single guy. The storyline of it is a lot more unique as an independent creation and draws less from FNAF than the first two. (It's also the scariest by far haha)
I do like this format of reacting to these analog horror pieces and then theorizing about them "together" in the comments. In a way it feels like sitting around the campfire sharing spooky stories: internet folklore edition or going on an adventure with the Scooby Gang! Ugh, I kinda love it. So spooky!
First time I watched the Walton files was when 8bit Ryan was reacting to the videos a while back. Ryan got a new subscriber that day, and these videos still bother the crap out of me today. 😅
Probably too late for this to be seen, but I had a doll called Cricket when I was a kid (in the 80s) and she had a tape player in her back. Her mouth would move and she would "say" the words on the tape. She came with her own stories, but I remember recording scary stuff and using thread to string her wrists to a hook on the ceiling and make them move, scaring the crap out of my younger sisters and friends. =) Watching the clown at the end reminded me of all of that, thanks for that good silly memory lol.

If you're into the lore and deep dives like Matpat, I highly recommend Nexpo's video on the Walten Files. I love Matpat, but he misses little hints and chunks of info a lot in stuff like the Walten Files, and Nexpo mostly covers ARGs and horror videos with built in hidden lore like this kinda stuff, so more stuff gets covered imo, which could influence what you theorize the lore and story to be. Even if you like Matpat's analysis more or what have you, which is perfectly fine, I think it's at least informative and a good deep dive on it all. :)
I've never really been able to get into the Walten Files because the way they mix their media just... isn't for me, but it was really nice seeing that Jack seemed to be enjoying it!

I have been pondering this now that I have seen him use it in another video, I have a few guesses as to why. One, he is trying to change up from the talking heads sitting behind a desk format. By this I mean create a more personal feel, less disconnect from his viewers. I am pointing out an obvious analogy, It can be easier to feel connected to someone like a Stand Up Comedian then someone like a Late Night Host. I believe this to be the case because of a lack of visual body langue caused by the sitting position and physical obstruction of a desk. More to that point, it would appear that Sean Enjoys expressing himself with body langue. My second Guess as to why we are seeing more of it, He got a new Microphone and he wants to use it. I have another idea but it feels very parasocial and I do not want to promote that behavior at all.

Which is a little suspicious.
this!!
I don't think this is a spoiler as it is highly implied in this video. But Susan died inside of banny not by the stuffing but by starving to death when unable to move. This is told through the "The rabbit is starving" section to imply Susan was trying to escape to get food but was unsuccessful

He must’ve believed that people were stupid enough to fall for the reopening of Bon’s Burgers, but he
1.) Must’ve forgotten that some people remember Bon’s Burgers’ shutdown, and
2.) Now forgets that Sophie remembers what happened & will soon pay for his crimes.
Its Funny how its Jack & Felix.

Calling it “the backrooms,” is really just a Fnaf neutral way of saying “parts and services.”
There are definitely SCP, Local 58 and Petscop references along with obviously Fnaf, but I don’t think the backrooms was one of them (at least with what we’ve seen so far)
@@kiera6326 I still haven't found the SCP references, can you give examples, please?

Thank you. I was about to write the same thing. I just think it`s funny that he refers to it as ,,the Mozart song".

If you really want to see jack at his prime for scary cryptic stuff, I would suggest watching the videos 'say goodbye', 'CHASE', the JSE power hour series, 'JJ's Jolly Jaunts' (pretty sure this one is under another name now but you'll be able to tell which one it is), and any other video by jack with a cryptic name or a name in zalgo font
Edit: be prepared tho, some of these are front and center with blood and overall intense stuff (in case that stuff does trigger u)
currently stuck in house because of quarantine, your videos entertains be a lot and been binge watching the horror games/scary vids
thanks jack!
bro was still quarantined in summer 2022
These videos never fail to entertain me.
Wish we could all say the same. These arnt scary, their annoying to watch. Miss the old home made scary videos. I miss old jack honestly.

The fact Sean is holding a microphone made me giggle like you never see youtubers holding mics😂😂😂 love ya Sean
Samee 🤣
"Like you never...."
Why do you feel the need to use "like"
i was about to type that but you got that right! lol
@@ZACKARDO mate have you never watched sean before he says like all the time😂😂 who cares anyway it’s a bloody word
We wouldn't mind a super long video if it means we get to watch you react to the 3rd one!! These are some of my favorite videos to watch!!
16:12 if you pay attention the VHS tape in the middle says "dissapearence of jack walten"
please like this so that jack can see it
5:02 “You finally start to remember… that old doll! They will look out for you soon, Sophie.”
19:11 “The rabbit is starving” this shows that a woman got in a suit but then starved to death. The missing poster is the woman
24:02 A woman was trying to find her husband (presumably Jack.) but a voice was luring her to the backstage, then she was dismembered. The missing poster is also a woman
30:44 Ashley was going through some doors in the place finding things she probably wasn’t supposed to see, including a different animatronic/puppet I guess, found a tape put it in billy the clown guy, then lists names as the tape continues, now she gets mangled and now is beautiful.
I believe it said ,,that old day, they will look (out) for you, Sophie” but I also watch Mat Pat realy much, so I could be wrong since there is debate between dollist and dayist (gonna write this to jack personally, and don’t look at comas, that’s how we write them in Lithuania)
@@xenamorphwinner7931 oh okay, thanks :)

Not much horror out there actually gets to me. When I first saw this series, I, a twenty-two year old man, had trouble sleeping for _months._
