Man, Tekken 5 brings back so many childhood memories. Still one of my top favorites in the series. I played this just as much, if not more than Tekken 3 back then. It was the first game in general where I wanted to attempt to fully complete it. I unlocked every character on my own and cherished my memory card like my life depended on it. I even brought my card to my aunt's house and played the game with my kid cousin all the time, since he never unlocked anything on his copy. Also, the music still slaps 17 years later.
Oh yeah my second favorite Tekken! Was able to beat broken ass Jinpachi with Jin once but still love the music, gave me Asuka(even though she has a stupid joke ending) and the ability to play arcade versions of Tekken 1, 2 and 3 was amazing.
I remember having so much trouble fighting against Jinpachi back then. Can't recall which character I beat him with the first time (might have been either Nina or Asuka). Not to mention, he was the one where I learned the importance of side-stepping.
@@galaxy_kitten95 You're not alone. I remember taking anywhere between 20-30 minutes to take him down! He was painfully difficult to beat. Got me raging a bit ngl! 💯
Thanks to Smash Bros I got to the series and it's pretty fun and the first game I got Tekken Tag Tournament 2 on the Wii U I'm going to try to play all the Tekken games🙂😄🙂😄✨🎆🎇✨🎇
If your PS3 pads don't work because random crazy inputs happen, it's often a little tiny rectangular piece of black foam that is holding the soft plastic circuit thing in the correct position. I looked up other YT videos and found an easy fix is to roll up a tiny piece of black electrical tape and place it on top of the worn foam bit. The controllers are a little bit tricky to take apart and put back together, but it can be done if you're careful and they are repairable (and cheap replacement parts are available if you have worn out rubber membrane button contact parts) and with a bit of effort I've repaired one or two old PS3 pads this way.
Dualshock 4/Dualsense controllers do work on PS2 games running on PS3. But only if you're using the PS2 Classics emulator, not the hardware backwards compatibility mode
Well, all old handhelds sucked batteries in a couple of hours. And Lynx was really impressive at the time. The problem that it was an Atari console, they didn't have any relationships with big japan developers, so there were no system sellers.
Hell sometimes it's not even just the setup and the sickness holding VR back. Sometimes you don't even have an appropriate living space to house and play with a VR set. It wasn't one of the main things but it was one of the things holding XBOX Kinect back.
Miss playing this game. If you you guys try playing with your index finger on square and x buttons and middle for triangle and o buttons on it makes a difference.
About Tiger handhelds... I remember them! I never owned one as a kid but someone in my family did. I remember trying it out for a bit. As a kid I thought it was cool. Liked the concept. If only they were around a little longer. That would've been cool. 💯
There’s also a 4th switch model that doesn’t play on tv or handheld. It’s stuck in your wall and only controls the lights. It’s a pain in the ass to play Tetris on.
My take, portable gaming will take the majority of the market while console gaming will kinda become a console gaming pc hybrid that will be at least $1000, or just flat out getting a gaming pc and the games will increase in price. VR gaming (much like the Virtual boy in the 90s) is ahead of its time. If it’s supported by the developers and the technology properly progresses, then maybe 20-30 years down the line we’ll get Steve’s idea, but it has to be a demand there so it’s probably not gonna happen.
I have problems with my ps3 controlers they just spasm out every direction imputs specifically up and down, I open up both of them and nothing was loose, so I figure it is a electric issue on the board close to the d. Pad, Maybe is the same problem.
I've had issues with random inputs happening on my ps3 pads (like push any button and other buttons get pushed, or just shake the controller and mad different buttons get pushed) and what I found out was there's a little rectangular piece of black foam padding that wears out. It holds the little soft plastic circuit thing in a specific position to make correct contact with the buttons. You can fix it by cutting a tiny little piece regular electrical tape, roll it up and stick it on top of the worn out foam bit. The controllers are a little bit of a hassle to take apart and put back together, but it can be done if you're careful, there's some videos here that get into it.

This was my second favorite Tekken game, behind Tekken 3.
One of the best games of all time!

This the game Devil Jin was first playable.
Remember when Hworang was cool looking and fun to play in tekken ? Tekken 5 remembers……..
Remember when anime troupe and youtube stream wannabe and crybaby by nature characters never existed? Tekken 5 remembers.....completely!

God damn it I love when Steve trolls the other dudes. Never not funny.

That last match was so clutch! Impressive!
The BEST Tekken ever.

This on old Ps3 or Ps2?
I played the fuck out this game. I even got every character rank up to tekken lord, hoping it would unlock jinpachi.
