Such a horrible argument you can have serious elements in a kids film while being grounded this arguments over it being a kids film is dumb since you can have mature themes in it
What even is the childish humor they’re talking about If they’re talking about the eggman and Gerald dance scene then it’s just a classic people on twitter find a way to complain about anything even if it’s a good thing
I fucking love that scene I mean it's Jim Carrey we are talking about and everyone knows Eggman is a cartoonish villain there are variants where Eggman is a comedy character AoSTH is a big example and since Jim Carrey is a live adaption of most of cartoon characters this version of Eggman is a mix of all his versions Dark and serious but does have a Humor sense and can be comedic
The argument is that ''it looks too childish for a movie with such serious elements like shadow's tragic origin'' which kinda makes sense as they are really scared that childish stuff willl ruin the more serious stuff
This is a movie around a hedgehog who eats Chilidogs, with a two tailed Fox, and Echidna who has the goofiest cartoon sized hands ever and the main antagonist is a fat meme called Eggman Yeah real serious you cant joke, like Dune level
They are family movies, not just for kids. And there are certain "kids movies" with serious themes, like Pixar movies. You must be living under a rock.
I do think some people on the Sonic community don't like when the franchise cater more to kids because they don't want to seem imature for liking it, but at the same time a kids movie being dumbed down because "it's for kids" doesn't make sense, kids are smart too.
Pretty much this. Yeah, there certainly are valid criticisms towards these films but a lot of has amounted to people whining anout kids movies doing kids movie things that they have always been doing since the first one. A lot of the fandom really juet needs to accept what these movies are.
I've been a Sonic fan ever since the toddler months of my life, in these present days I'm an adult and I think that the Sonic 3 movie already has enough serious stuff in it and the comedy just makes me laugh.(it doesn't bother me at all) These other adult Sonic fans have to smarten up, be more like the adults that they should be and except the facts that this is Sonic the Hedgehog 3 the movie or Sonic the Hedghog 3 Tokyo Mission (because that's what the Japanese logo for it says) not Sonic Adventure 2 the movie. Paramount is making these movies be inspired by the games, not 1 on 1 adaptions of them, so of coarse not everything that's in the games will be in the movies. I've been totally aware of that and any adult fans who haven't excepted it should smarten up and except that this is mostly because of how unexcptably high the budgets would be, how long the runtime would be, how extra long we would have to wait until a theatrical release could happen and because if everything from the games were in the movies then the story plots of them would be too boringly predictable to any people who for any reason already know the story plots of those games. Also so that the movies can be their own thing.
@dynamicyouthtube Amy could still be in it, but yeah from what's been going on lately it currently does look more like that if she is in that movie, she'll more likely be in it as a mid-credits scene character instead of one that will be appearing during the climax of the movie. That's been becoming more believable each day especially because of the lack of her in any of the Sonic 3 movie trailers and available merchandise for that movie.
@ my main reason for why she won’t be in the movie is since the McDonald’s toys have leaked lots of stuff but who wasn’t leaked? Amy I get that there’s a tiny chance of her appearing but it would be such a waste for one moment and I know paramount isint dumb
@@dynamicyouthtube What you just said does make sense. Because yeah, if Amy is in it then they would have already made that clear through any merchandise sales, trailers and posters, but they didn't do that and she didn't play a big role in SA2 and Shadow 05, so it would be better to have her join the SCU in a movie that she would play a bigger role in.
@ Amy is a cool character but she isint that that important to be a surprise character in the games she’s a cheerleader so it would be good to promote her in the trailers but they didn’t I know it sounds like I’m against amy but I want her to be in the scu just not this movie
My only concern with these silly more comedic scenes are how long theyre gonna take up the screen time compared to the more important stuff/plot. If the can get a fine line between the 2 then i have no problems but if its a sonic 2 wedding scene situation that would be a bit disappointing. A kids movie can have dark elements too so really its about the fine line and balance.
My main concern isn’t the brainrot humor, although I will admit I don’t want to see it become more than it was in Sonic 2. My main concern is Gerald. From the first trailer I thought the character was dumb & totally expected a different actor to be cast as Gerald. I like Jim Carrey but his whole act constantly pushes the envelope, and it goes too far with Gerald (at least from what I’ve in the trailers). Hopefully I can come back to this comment tomorrow and say my concerns didn’t come to fruition.
There are no Sex and Drugs in this movie so its for kids People's Logic is so funny Also there are more cringy and childish animations and animes than sonic and people only see sonic as a kids franchise
Like its just a movie what you expect its a kid profit movie, Sonic is meant for kids category but that doesn't mean it ain't meant for adults but it shouldn't be surprising to adults, kids enough these movies and wait so long we don't need complains from the adults all cause ITS KIDDISH thats just immature in my opinion
Most of them are Amy and SonAmy fans because Amy is not there sharing a romantic scene with Sonic and also Sonic not asking Amy to be his wife too they're even throwing tantrums and being too much toxic they're even sending death threats
Dude you movie, art school dropouts, are hilarious God its a hedgehog who eats Chilidogs Its supposed to be campy And even then the reviews debunk the whining shut it and watch the movie
I think your argument is just as bad as being overly critical, overdefense isn't that much better. Having standards for the writing material has nothing to do with the target demographic of the project. While it's a scapegoat point of reference it is a very effective one, most DreamWorks and Pixar movies are exactly what people are asking for. Primarily kids films with well handled material that can be appreciated and understood by all age groups. You will not cringe or lost interest in the humor of Shrek, Puss In Boots, Toy Story, HtTYD, WALL-e, Ratatouille, we could name dozens. They are kids movies with universally effective humor and mature enough subject matter to be accessible by all age groups. Even things like Boss Baby accomplish this. The Sonic movies are simply not that. "It's a movie for kids" isn't and shouldn't be the number 1 excuse for complacency, low or nonexistent standards and tonal inconsistency. It shouldn't be an automatic shrugging off of criticism and constructive feedback. "It's for kids, not you" IS NOT valid criticism. Kids deserve better than that.
If kids like it…it was written well for kids. Sounds pretty logical to me. When the movie comes out if every child in the theater is laughing and enjoying the movie than the writing is good. Kind of a no brainer.
Youre comparing Sonic to Pixar which both have different goals and writing You really have an arrogant know it all complex and you hide it behind a fake caring attitude and I mean offense in every way by this, You are a charlatan
And Sonic movies dont have emotional appeal? They humabized the character and made him more relatable than any of the games by far TF are you on about? Its like youve never watched them.but youll insult someone over it Unreal, remind me to never be in a room with you
i think people are getting more triggered because it was originally marketed as a more serious movie compared to what’s coming out now
No not really, we always knew it was going to be a kids movie with some serious elements
No?! When did anyone in Paramount say that
The worst thing I’ve seen is “I’m NoT wAtChInG sOnIC MoViE 3 bC no AmY

@ there are strong rumours saying that she is a post credit scene I just watched the Tokyo fight btw it's on Paramount's channel
@hiimpubg360 I just saw that too. It was awesome
If they make a movie where Metal Sonic is the main villain that will probably be the one where Amy shows up.
@ DO I HAVE NEWS FOR YOU
