2 years ago, you did a video on Hyder, Stewart and the Salmon glacier. I was looking for an epic destination for my 50th birthday. Within a few months, Itchy Boots passed through there as well. That was it. So in August of 2023, I left Ontario on my motorcycle, with Stewart BC as my destination. I stayed in Stewart for 2 nights and I tell ya.... there is something magical about that place. Nestled in the bay, shadowed by the surrounding mountains...... just beautiful. I stopped in many places across all the provinces and Stewart was the hardest to leave. The quiet pace and serenity was just what any adventurer needs. Thank you Dustin for the inspiration. Safe travels.
Yet again I’m left baffled by the viewed counter. When you’d be hard pressed to find a video with such a high level of professionalism in every aspect of film making. Both video, sound, host etc is at such a high standard. Not to mention the content of each and every video. Every story is unique and magical. With landscapes that are both all inspiring and breathtaking. To the story behind each video. Again at risk of sounding like a broken record this video’s are so amazingly put together! And a host that is very likable both on screen and off. When mediocrity is the norm on RUclips. Here on destination, adventure is far from the norm! Dustin is a wonderful documentarian, wildlife filmmaker, action, etc. there’s nothing he doesn’t do. And do well! So let don’t loss such a talented individual. Let us help in every way possible. Like, comment, and share his incredible films! It doesn’t take but a moment to write a comment, and click that like button. With today’s RUclips algorithm each comment, like and share are critical for a RUclipsr to get a push from RUclips just to be put in the “checkout” section. Without this a RUclipsr isn’t getting the far chance to be showcased on their platform. I know it’s not right! But until they correct this “I highly doubt” or there’s a major shake up in management. RUclipsr like Dustin here get sidelined by ridiculous videos. So please let save this amazing channel for all of benefit. So like, share, comment, subscribe.
My parents moved to Stewart in 1954. I was born there along with two of my sisters. We moved to Terrace in 1963. Mary was a friend of my parents. My oldest sister was the May Queen that year.
I just talked to my older sister, she said that Kasum's owned the house my family rented before moving to Terrace. Mary would certainly remember the Foote family.
Seeing Emi experience things for maybe the first time is so fun. I love her laugh and to see you both just enjoying yourselves is great. Stay safe have fun.
That’s what I came here to say. She is a great addition to DA. Her excitement and laughter is refreshing. Thanks again for my vicarious adventure this weekend, Dustin.
I have a dear friend that moved up to Stewart and I believe it has been an amazing opportunity. Every summer he tries to drag me out of the prairies and head north. The pictures and stories are outstanding. He has a service truck, and points out that opportunities are endless for the motivated. What a beautiful place. From millet Alberta. ✌
Dustin, I hope you never change a thing. The adventures to the most majestic scenery, the music that fits it perfectly, your interviews with locals including personal history, and your footage of it all. Entertainment at it's best, thankful for your dedication to bring all of this to us!❤
I worked in Stewart Dec. 1970 to Jul. 1971. The Harbour Lights Grocery then was the Bank of Montreal. I worked for the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce which was attached to the old King Edward Hotel. I moved out of the hotel and into the new bank building, (the manager and myself actually lived in the bank), that night the King Ed burnt to the ground. When I left in Jul. I sailed on the Northland Prince from Stewart to Prince Rupert. The whole time was quite the adventure for a 19 year old. Thanks for the memories
Excellent video, Dustin. I really enjoyed the time I got to spend with you and Emi. Thank you for being you. Keep doing what you're doing. I love it. D'Arcy
Man I just love the content. I always look for Dustins videos when I’m feeling lonely or when I get that itch again to travel. The loneliness isn’t for people either, its for nature and the great outdoors
Dustin I really enjoyed this video. Back in 1970 my family move to Stewart for a year. We traveled up on the Northland Prince. I was 6 years old, one of 6 children. I remember clearly the top notch service with waiters at each table, towels draped over their arms. We were such a large family we had 2 cabins and my older siblings were on their own. Then the adventure of living there. This video brought back so many memories. Thank you 🙏
I remember that too ,well dressed waiters with the towel,I was about the same age and once the waiter new I liked apple juice there was a glass waiting for me at every meal. Thanks for bringing back that memory :)
My friend just moved to Atlin... thanks for the video you did with Amélie! Then this... where my friend's mom lives.... 2025 bucket list! Thanks for the incredible footage and stories.❤😮🎉
Thank you Captain Emi, and Dustin for another amazing adventure into Stewart, I always love seeing that area. Saturday morning, before I have to go to work, and watching one of my favorite RUclipsrs is always a treat.
Great stories from the locals Beautiful wilderness. Spoting the Bald Eagles sparked a memory of mine. In 1978 in Yakutat, Alaska l had been fishing in the Yakutat Bay. We where on a fishing boat a mile off shore. Circling some 100 feet above us was a Bald Eagle. Minutes later this Bald Eagle dives into the ocean and grabs a Salmon. Then flies away with his meal. Truely remarkable how powerful these birds really are. Thank you for sharing.
Nature's beauty is beyond words. What a privilege to be there in person, and thank you for sharing your adventures with us. May God continue to bless you both as your adventures multiply.
Interesting when you chat with the locals. Never forget when I was in Coast Guard and we did the Inland Passage. Most of my career was big cities like New Orleans, Seattle, SF, LA. It was refreshing to see the planet wasn't all concrete and buildings. Your videos remind me of how big this planet is.
Hey, guess what? It's Saturday! Dustin and Emmi! Dustin! You don't stop. Thank you, i always shed a tear of joy at random spots in every video you make.
My dad was born on Premier mountain, the Alaskan side but was registered Canadian. His dad took a lot of great photos of Stewart and Premier in the 30’s and 40’s. It was great to get to see and hear from the people living there still, and what it looks like now.
We have made it up there three times. Cassiar to Tuk twice and full length of the Alcan and side bar to Tuk once. Each time doing the Cassiar we have gone to Stuart/Hyder and up to Salmon glacier. Now three things prevent me from doing it ever again. My wife is done with that particular trip, I'm having some medical crap and we both are probably too old. So, again, many thanks for taking me along. Tell Em to keep the rod tip pointing up.
Thanks for the memories, I was on the Northland prince in 1976 . Such a great trip for a 16 year old, I was on the ship with a group of young people who were exploring the BC coast we even got Hyderized . Thanks for doing this video .
I can never say this enough, every video you do gets better, Truly remarkable. I love mountains, living in Louisiana, I don't see mountians. Your channel makes me love them more. I am loving this season more and more with you and Emi. Thank you both!
Man, I love the interviews! This dropped at 10.30pm last night here in Tasmania, just as I was getting ready to crash out. I thought about watching, and thought “Nope, it’s your Sunday morning coffee watch….don’t spoil that!” And I’m glad I waiting. 5.30am, coffee and another Destination Adventure, adventure! Great work, mate!
Love these team videos with Emi you guys are honestly a great team. Lots of good laughs is always time well spent. Look forward to seeing more pf you two!
Just came back from Stewart, Bc. Calgary to Stewart to Vancouver via Whistler, back to Calgary. Stewart was the most beautiful magical place in whole trip
Love these adventures Dustin goes on, the stories from the locals really brings to light of how life was, you could almost feel as if you were ounce there. I so look forward the every new story you provide us, thank you for showing us your world and adventures
Awesome video, again, thankyou 🎉 your amazing audience looks forward very much to your amazing adventures, Emi is a wonderful addition to this community🎉 🎉❤
I’m envious of your time on the water. What a great way to see the country. Good job captaining the boat Em! Great vid. Loved the smooth entry into the boat
Have always been, and always will be a fan of your videos. I just love everything about them. But when you interview locals, it's my absolute favorite. Thank you Dustin! I do what I want!!!
I spent a week or so in Stewart in the fall of 94. I needed tires for my fifth wheel and the plan was to visit Hyder but I didn’t make it. I stayed at a campground that was ran by a civic organization back in the trees. The people were friendly and helpful, I had to air up my tires every other day. I had a 15’ Coleman canoe and had a local that wanted to buy it until he found out it wasn’t a square stern. It might be fun to just spend some time there again.
Of all your adventures, I’ve fallen in love with Stewart. We live on Whidbey Island, in Washington State, and this South Louisiana gal never thought she’d feel more at home in the Pacific Northwest than in the Southern US but there it is. My husband, who isn’t on social media, wanted me to comment on how wonderfully healthy and robust Emmi is looking! I agree. And her laughter is magical. Thank you both.
One of my favorite episodes yet. The shot that Emi got of you diving into the boat was priceless, and also her driving the boat and you flying the drone was awesome! Tip for shrimping, when circumstances allow, try to pull the pots/traps every tide. The shrimp can swim out of the traps at slack water. I am so stoked to follow your adventures this summer!! Gonna try to pull off a secret/hidden boat beer delivery, a "Dave" so to speak, at some point if circumstances allow! You are absolutely crushing it, keep up the phenomenal work Dustin!
Missed my Saturday morning coffee and Destination Adventure this morning, as we were out of town with friends. But the first thing that we got back home and sitting down I turned on RUclips to see this weeks adventure, You never disappoint with your production, and this one was great! Great to see those expert fishing skills really paying off for you both! Keep up the great work, and safe travels to you both!
Wow, a way of life that is almost lost now. Most could not appreciate what it took to live out there "back in the day", and even now. Takes a special type of person. Thanks so much for introducing us these lovely people!
Every time you're there, the scenery is so captivating, it's like the first time, and I can't look away from my screen! It's so beautiful, majestical, and breathtaking! And if you get to see Mary before you leave Stewart, please wish her a happy birthday from us!
Emi is just adorable. Such a great addition to your channel. Only a 2 day 3 hour drive from my home. Adding this to my bucket list for retirement next year. Thank you for a future adventure.
Great to see you and Emme having such a blast out fishing and enjoying the beautiful landscape. Would love to know if you have been teaching her some Canadian 🤣🤣 After watching the video I felt I needed to get some extra merch to help you purchase some new crab traps. Great video as always. Thanks again.
Knocked it out of the park again! Thanks for the great interviews with Mary and Darcy. I thoroughly enjoyed that. Wishing Mary a happy birthday, what an inspiration! Beautiful tour of the Portland Canal and waterfalls and derelict buildings. 10/10
Great scenery, stories and adventure. You have a wonderful ability to capture the experience and share it with others visually, audibly, and spiritually. Thanks for another excellent one Dustin!
Thank you. My sons father was born in wells BC. I wish you show a map. But, I recognize the terrain. I am born in North Vancouver, now a refugee in Quebec. Now I will find a map. You people are gorgeous.
One of your absolutely best, really enjoyed your laughters and fun with the beautiful Emi. Great addition to the show. You always have such great people to interview. Your photography and drone action is fantastic. Let's see you do it again.
I am a retired tour bus driver. In the mid 1983 I had a group of French tourists that overnighted in Stewart. They walk over to Hyder and had a great look at the salmon run. Loved it.
Dustin, we’ve been watching your adventures for a few years now. Since the insanity of Covid and you losing your job. These videos are a glimpse into our province and although I’ve been around it a bit I haven’t been around like this. Makes me want to retire and go.! Cheers to you sir on venturing out and taking a chance on a channel like this. Your gamble has paid off for so many. Cheers
Thankyou Dustin & Emi. Love the interviews and of course the scenery. Couldn't believe that Dad got cancer way up in Stewart B.C. Till next time ... Cheers 🍺🤛😎👊

Itchy boots is AMAZING!
I’m happy to hear you got to enjoy Stewart. :)
I'm sad Itchy Boots had her accident in Africa.. I hope she is doing well... miss her vids
Thank you for taking us along on another great adventure. You've taken us here before, but I certainly don't mind seeing it again ❣️
Nothing puts a bigger smile on my face than seeing someone catch fish with lures we've provided 😁🐟🎣
Nice catches Emi and Dustin!

I love that guy on the boat. full of life, happy and no concerns about the bells and whistles of being in a city

Oh to be young again... Thanks Dustin and Emmi for the wonders you two provide.
Lived there as a kid from 1970 until 1976. Loved it. Exploring old miner cabins, climbing on the glacier, snow forts , skating on frozen lakes.
