Mixing the Wear layer of poured in place rubber

Using a mortar mixer to mix the wear layer (EPDM layer) with Aromatic binders. The mixing is done for however long it takes to have all the EPDM granules evenly coated with binder. EPDM bags are typically 55 pounds each. On most installs, we are mixing two bags at a time. Usually one black and one color. Make sure you are dry mix first for a predetermined amount of time. Then pour the binder slowly over the EPDM as the paddles are rotating. Both dry and wet mixing have to be the same for every batch.
