  • There is no filmmaker like Wim Wenders. His intensely personal, poetic films are favorites of critics and audiences alike, and while he has a vast and diverse filmography, several movies that he made in the 1970s portray a related search for meaning and a desire for travel. This acclaimed “Road Trilogy” is a series of German-language films - Alice in the Cities, Wrong Move, and King of the Road - that express “wanderlust,” or the preoccupation with the possibilities of the open road. This video essay explores these movies through the prism of road travel. Buckle up!
Watch Now: Wenders and other greats take you through the journey of self-discovery that accompanies the art of filmmaking in, On Directing. And learn more from the man himself as Wenders takes you through the story of his early years in One Who Set Forth.

Until The End Of The World is a masterpiece and one of my all-time favorite movies. When I saw it I was telling every one I know, how amazing it was and how it must be experienced. To a lesser extent, I felt the same with The Wrong Move and Kings of The Road. Wenders has become one of my favorite ever directors

I bought his boxset but i didn't really get Wrong Move. I may have to watch it again with subtitles.
