I purchased eight of the Mi-Light Color Changing Ceiling Light LED RGB+Dual White Recessed Ceiling Downlight 15W Waterproof (15W-CCT-WP) instruments. The circuit board on one of them started smoking and burned up on an initial test Another light lasted about four days before burning up. The circuit board was black. The back of the control box had a hole burned completely through the white plastic. I removed the two screws on the blue front hatch to perform a forensic examination on the circuit board but the blue hatch door cover was fused to the white plastic due to the heat. I had to use a screwdriver to pry off the blue cover. It was fused so tightly that the blue cover split before it would come loose.
There had to be a "short circuit" of another explanation. If you advertise a luminaire with a seller, replace it with a new one

I have replaced all the defective lights with new ones and tested them. They all light up. I have not reinstalled them in the ceiling as yet but will do so in due time.

I have observed that this Mi-Light product is the only 6" flush mount lighting instrument I have found that does not require a can housing and that has on-the-fly color temperature adjustment with a wireless remote, smartphone application, or wall-mounted touchpad.
My concerns are about the construction and engineering of the instrument. For example, the blue and brown contact wires are noticeably thin to connect to 120 voltage. The circuit board seem to be loosely placed in the plastic housing and insufficiently secured. Additionally, the lights do not have any ground wire. Instructions lack details and Mi-Light technical support is non-existent via the telephone. There is no warranty information other than a written promise within an email by technical support that they will replace any defective light. Whether this implies a lifetime warranty is uncertain.
This Mi-Light product is an innovative concept that could greatly benefit by a few inexpensive improvements.

I see you changing colors and after that you press white and then changing from warm white to cold white. Can you mix a little bit of cold white and orange for instance? Or is it just RGB OR white? Thanks!

- you can set the color from the RGB palette
- you can enable both (RGB and CCT)

Is there any device you have connected with the led light, or the led light is directly connected to power supply?
The LED panel has a controller. He communicates via radio (on the 2.4Ghz frequency) with the remote control. No other device is needed, all you need is an LED panel and a remote control.

Thanks for video, anyway you pressed 20 times the same functions, we may have undestood it with only two. Pity you didn't show us well the color saturations and the mode button, for example if mode can be selected for every zone with different speed.

Dear , Can I control a CCT-RGB downlight on the same channel with a dual white CCT led strip, I would also like to take a CCT downlight but it is to thick over 3,9cm , that does not fit with my ceiling. I have the same remote control 4 channel but as I said, I want to control both with one channel, is that possible?

1 zone can control many controllers, floats, halogens. they will be controlled at once, if you want to control them separately, they must be assigned to different zones. 1 zone can control up to 99 devices at the same time
