raise a hallelujah, louder than the unbelief
I raise a hallelujah, my weapon is a melody
I raise a hallelujah, heaven comes to fight for me
I'm gonna sing, in the middle of the storm
Louder and louder, you're gonna hear my praises roar
Up from the ashes, hope will arise
Death is defeated, the King is alive!
I raise a hallelujah, with everything inside of me
I raise a hallelujah, I will watch the darkness flee
I raise a hallelujah, in the middle of the mystery
I raise a hallelujah, fear you lost your hold on me!
I'm gonna sing, in the middle of the storm
Louder and louder, you're gonna hear my praises roar
Up from the ashes, hope will arise
Death is defeated, the King is alive!
Sing a little louder (In the presence of my enemies)
Sing a little louder (Louder than the unbelief)
Sing a little louder (My weapon is a melody)
Sing a little louder (Heaven comes to fight for me)
Sing a little louder (In the presence of my enemies)
Sing a little louder (Louder than the unbelief)
Sing a little louder (My weapon is a melody)
Sing a little louder (Heaven comes to fight for me)
    Sing a little louder!
I'm gonna sing, in the middle of the storm
Louder and louder, you're gonna hear my praises roar
Up from the ashes, hope will arise
Death is defeated, the King is alive!

Nrgizd same. It’s not that slow songs are harder but it’s harder for me to know what to play

Me too, and yet in a sense, they seem easier to play.

    • @Gren4te
      @Gren4te 4 года назад

Well it’s actually easier than you might think at first glance. When playing songs like this it is weird at first until you realize the rythm section is actually shared between drums and guitar. So if you are playing with a guitarguy make sure you bith understand your places in regard to eachother.
The guitar in this song takes the position of the hi hat providing a steady quarter strum.
From that position, as a drummer, you fill in the body with the whole notes on your base drum.
The floor tom has the position of filling in some quarter and 8th notes as you normally would using kick and snare.
The groove of this particular song (and some others) is somewhat of a standard quarter note hi hat, with alternating half notes for base and snare.
      Something like this:
      H h h h|h h h h|h h h h|h h h h
      B S |B S |B S |B S
By adding in an 8th note base on every second bar after the first note. You’ll find the groove for this song. In this case it is played by drums and guitar using guitar as hats, bassdrum as filler on the quarter (supporting bassguitar), and floor to support the groove.
You can add crash cymbals as HH filler for more dynamics and snares on the 2nd and 4th beat for that purpose too. You can then play that 8th note on a floor as well. That 8th is really important for this groove.
      Hope this helped a bit.

Kaleb Thomas I use Heartbeat Cymbals! They are the best cymbal company out there for worship drummers in my opinion. I have an Epic 24inch Ride, 21inch Classic Crash, 20inch Custom Crash, and 17inch Classic Hats.

Gonna say this as someone who uses your videos alot. And love them. But gotta not pick a little. A few spots it looked like you stopped playing the full fill. Or didn't play it the same as the song. Still enjoying your videos though.

Stewie 897 we do our best to be as close to the original as possible, sometimes we may miss something but we try to make sure we don’t. Thanks for the support and for watching our videos!
