First Things First: Cris Carter and Nick Wright The key to the Eagles success this year, in my opinion, has been their unpredictability. Every week the Eagles coaching staff draws up a game plan that is not expected by the other team. There is no better example of this than the Vikings game. Going into the game, what do you think the Vikings expected? The previous 3 games for the Eagles were all low scoring, run-first, defensive battles. The Vikings were fooled into drawing up a gameplan for a low scoring defensive battle. They weren't prepared for Nick Foles to throw for 350 yards and 3 TDs. Doug Pederson always seems to catch his opponent off guard. His play calling is equally unpredictable. A good example of that is the Eagles last drive of the first half. The Eagles had 20-some seconds to get down field and get a field goal, starting at their own 25 yard line. Pederson didn't just air it out as expected though. He ran a screen pass. A few plays later, he ran the extact same screen again, and got another chunk out of it. Then when the Vikings started trying to take away the screen passes by putting LBs and DBs on the outsides, he took advantage of that by sending Zach Ertz deep on a cross N go route up the sideline. Every play during the last drive of the first half fooled the Vikings. This is not a defense made up of inexperienced scrubs, coached by some random fool. This was by far the best defense in the NFL. They were solid in every category, and Doug Pederson eviscerated them. That is no small feat. It really was incredible to see how, on nearly every play, the Eagles fooled the Vikings into leaving huge holes all over the field, which the Eagles were able to exploit as a direct result of intelligent playcalling. The key to the Eagles success is Doug. Stinkin'. PEDERSON.
First Things First: Cris Carter and Nick Wright Not Just Doug, it’s the whole team as a unit. They have a next man up attitude and with confidence, it’ll take them a long way. They’re all confident in Pederson and Foles and confidence got them to the Superbowl when everyone thought it was over for them. Very humbling
Chris Canty is one of the most insightful ex-player I have seen in the broadcasting chair in a long time. This guy is a star... seems to be a very bright man.
This dude Chris Canty knows what he's talking about. This is what I like to see. Former players talking about football.

Doug pederson is a great HC. Back to back years of the worst injury luck I've ever seen here in philly in my 30 years and the one year we won the super bowl and the second we were one bad dropped pass away from the nfc championship..HE IS THE REAL DEAL!!!
Nick Wright: "I still don't know if Doug Pederson is a great Head-Coach". Me: Nick Wright, Don't quit your night-job buddy. You keep flipping those hamburger patties until your hands bleed.
In reality they are two different players. Hicks is a great coverage guy, while Lee is is a great run stuffer. But due to the inexperience in the Dallas secondary, Sean Lee's presence is extremely important. In 2014 when Lee was injured, their secondary was experienced. They also had Rolando McClain who could offset the loss in talent. Right now they had a bunch of rookies and second year players in the secondary. Jordan hicks is a great player. But the eagles have great defensive talent across the board. Losing him doesn't have the same impact as losing Sean Lee. Especially when he was lost against the best offensive teams Dallas played.
so you are contending the Eagles would have been better off if Foles had no lead-in games before the playoffs ?? ... my retardation even includes consideration that the Eagles didnt lose their No1 ranking during those last few settling-Foles-in games. ... i defer to your superior understanding.
I agree with you Ivan. it would have been the same exact situation the Raiders were in last year. had to play first playoff game in what? 16 seasons? with a rookie quarterback. that was a disaster.
They are lucky they clinched the playoffs before they lost Wentz. Those regular season games leading into the playoffs, you could treat them as preseason games. Win or loss you're still in the playoffs. Gave him time to get 1st team reps to better prepare for the playoffs.
Josh Norris Wentz had a similar issue last season. He only had about a week to work with the first team offense, and he definitely struggled to maintain chemistry with his recievers early on. Definitely a plus that Foles had a couple weeks to settle in.
"these guys love coming to practice they love working together they love being around each other"-doug pederson in EVERY interview in 2017-18. dont git it twisted DOUG PEDERSON built that culture in that eagles locker room. he has more than a team...he built a FAMILY. so everybody else can sign all the free agents they want. all the #1 draft picks they want. now ALL they have 2 do is gel that in2 a TEAM/FAMILY we'll wait....#BirdGang4Lyfe
Whoever is in charge of employing Nick Wright, You should fire him and hire me in his stead. I called Pederson's potential as a Head-Coach since day-1. I knew he was a championship level Head-Coach and I know that Josh McDaniel's is nothing but a carbon-copy of Adam Gase and will never be a championship level Head-Coach. I'm just on a completely different level than these media clowns.
2:58 - *I still don't know if Doug Pederson is a great head coach...we now know he's at the very least, an AVERAGE TO ABOVE AVERAGE head coach* smh hmm.....
REAL coaching is, in my opinion, when you're able to still win after so many key injuries on your roster. There should be no more questions as this team is in the superbowl. He didn't come here already having a stellar team like Mike Tomlin did inheriting Bill Cowher's superbowl winning team and winning in the superbowl during his second year. Also, look at what he and his coaching staff did with Nick Foles. If anyone had questions on if Doug was a great coach, he's proven it by adjusting the offensive game plan that was for Carson and changing it to fit Nick's strengths and doing it in such a short period of time.I mean, heck... is Bill Belichick a REALLY good coach?/ I'm sure you would say he is, but I don't know. I'm not trying to be a smart alec. But he's had Tom Brady for practically all of his tenure in NE. Plus the man cheated along with his organization. Heck, he may still be a cheater. So, I don't know how good he really is. I don't remember NE going to the playoffs when Brady had an ACL injury back in..what was it, 08'? I don't remember Bill going to the superbowl when he was head coach of the Browns. Doug did it with his back up in less than 3 weeks of practice for Nick. Nick had absolutely 0 reps in the offseason and preseason. Only practice he's had was recently. And each week, he's looked better and better. That is all coaching. I think we will see Doug become successful in the years to come, especially when Wentz is back to normal.
@@d23squad86 exactly!!! There should be no more questions as the same thing happened last year with Nick having to come and save the day again and he only had 1 loss in like the 4 or 5 games he had to play in (again, only 1 loss and that was against the saints).
Don’t think anyone else can ask the most meaningless question in the most wordy & dramatic way then Jenna. I know she’s the one appointed that ask the question but she’s struggling in comparison to Joy on Undisputed. Jenna is a tough listen. She’s better covering news. That along w Cris always undermining & lack of respect for Nick leads me to believe this show won’t last long. Poor chemistry among the 3.
This show is hosted by a butthurt Giants fan and a former Eagle who hates Philly esp after watching HIS team get their heads handed to them by Philly.. no wonder they give no credit
What has been the key to Pederson's success?

Well said Chris Canty!!!!!! You will one day have your own talk show!!!!
Nick talking the NFC east hahaha. I don't hear him talking about the Patriots cakewalk of schedules
Nick Wright: "I still don't know if Doug Pederson is a great Head-Coach".
Me: Nick Wright, Don't quit your night-job buddy. You keep flipping those hamburger patties until your hands bleed.
Jordan hicks is betterthan sean lee are u joking
Brandon Slocum Sean Lee plays about 13 snaps per game more and averages about 9 more fantasy points per game.

From what I've seen/heard this season it really does seem like The Eagles have a great locker room atmosphere.
That’s why he should be a shoe in for coach of the year
Shane Pleasants He already lost. Only came in 4th place
This man nick wright a double agent. Watch philly win he gon have eagles gear on come Monday after the game
AlmightyRon300
😂😂😂
Mcadoodoo!
#shotsfired🎆
kinda lucky for the Eagles that Wentz went down when he did - integrating a new QB in the first week of the playoffs would NOT have been a good thing.
Ivan Dobsky that comment is retardation at its finest
so you are contending the Eagles would have been better off if Foles had no lead-in games before the playoffs ??

Josh Norris They'd still proably beat the Vikings

Luck didn't have anything to do with these season. The Eagles were built for this moment last summer. Howie Roseman made move after move.
brian harley, I'm just saying if Wentz went out earlier, you'd probably be fighting for a higher seed. Probably end up at 3rd or 4th seed.
Josh Norris even as the 4th seed we would of still beat the Vikings
HOW IS DOUG AVERAGE. WTF IS NICK TALKING ABOUT. HE WIN A SUPER BOWL WITH ALL THOSE INJURIES. GO EAGLES.
Ben mcadoodoo😂😂😂😂

If Eagles lose, they will never hear the end of it
If Patriots lose, they will never hear the end of it
If Deflatriots lose, they'll still treat Tom Shady like Jesus Christ
Jordan Walkowiak, Brady already is the GOAT. He could lose this and still be the best.
Josh Norris the narrative that he lost in the SB to nick foles and Eli Manning is pretty meme worthy tho 😂
JrFilms, oh for sure lmao
My superbowl pick was right from from mid season last year. I'm a god.
Wait until next year when the Eagles sign Greg Robinson and DJ Fluker.
Never mind I finally see a glare
I thought his name was Doug peders 😂
Not sure how Nick Wright got this gig.
There has to be a contrarian.
Does canty not have lenses in his glasses
dougie p did in 2 yrs what andy reid SPECTACULARLY failed 2 do in 14 #BirdGang4Lyfe

To be fair to Nick, some coaches are one-year wonders, so he's not wrong in that regard. Will Doug Pederson continue to be this great? Time will tell.

The whole setup of "2 dudes explain sport to a lady with no opinions of her own" just annoys tf out of me. It gets repeated in show after show.
He’s not a great head coach ? Did you not watch the season ? The playoffs ? The super bowl ? Wtf #FlyEaglesFly for the Repeat !!
