    Hi .. Love this hat.. I've got lots of this type of yarn.. Can I recommend if you do not wish to chat while crochet that. You put the information on the screen at each row .. Like chain ### also over head camera positions best ... I have subscribed.. Georgina

      For chain numbers here’s a rough estimate
      For a teen/ adult hat: I chained 35-40 (this fabric has less stretch so I would do a chain or two extra) and worked until it fit snugly around my head (:
      For a child’s size I would recommend roughly 25-30 chains
