I was going to mention the tear also. It's easy to miss that on a small screen. His tears let me know he was able to relate and feel the pain of loss of loved ones, in what ever part of his life it might be, and he shows that in the song and then ultimately having to bid them a final farewell.

What an exquisite performance. Magical is the right word! Next? How about his “one-man choir” performance of the famous Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s oratorio Messiah (1741)? He sings all four parts in a chorus of 24 little Dans. It’s a mind-blowing achievement in singing, recording, and editing. Thanks again.

As others have said, his father passed away shortly before he recorded this. Please react to I’ll Make a Man out of You from Disney’s Mulan. It fun to watch and has some surprises. Dan has said that the last note is probably the highest he has ever sung. It’s amazing.
Great reaction to Dan. He definitely has the ability to touch the inner emotions of everyone when he sings. A true performer. I would love to hear you react to Dan’s version of Gethsemane. This is the best performance I think I have seen and heard in my humble opinion.
Again I'm going to his cover of Fairy tale, only over 550 000 views, but for me really show of his skills to sing opera, change to folk and then do the metal, moving flawlessly between normal an metal. Really a great song, done 5 years ago.
Dan is an extraordinarily gifted artists who never rests on his laurels, but is someone who continues learning and perfecting his craft. He is a very humble person who is being his authentic self. When he is singing you can see that he feels everything about the song and many times doesn't hold back tears. I would strongly recommend his cover of the Sex Pistol's ATTITUDE CITY=I never fail to laugh when I watch it.
You can't go wrong with any song by Dan. I agree with Battle Hymn someone else requested and I'll add Blood of My Enemies by Manowar, Future World or any cover he does by Helloween. Helloween is one of my top 2 metal bands.
