How could they have forgotten the movie Playback 2012 that only made $264 in the US? It stared Christian Slater and was pulled after only having it out for a weekend. It made a total of $54,945 worldwide. I think that definitely deserves to be on this list.

I think partially what made Morbius so difficult to endure was the fact that it was released just a few months after No Way Home. I started to believe that Sony really did care about their Spider-Man fans after what happened in 2019, but when Morbius came out, I realized at the end of the day, they don’t care about developing their characters or their worlds. They just care about making a ton of money no matter what.

Actually, the biggest tragedy about Max Steel was that it was based on a bad remake of a cartoon that was fairly good. The original version was that the protagonist, Josh McGraph was a college student who played extreme sports. After an accident gave him superhuman abilities and finding out that his adopted father was a high ranking officer in an American spy organization, he decided to join the organization as a super powered agent, going by the name Max Steel.

As soon as I heard about the Jem movie I knew it was going to end badly and as a fan of the show that hurt. It was an 80's cartoon that ran for only three seasons and had no reboots in the decades after like other Hasbro properties (Transformers, G.I Joe, My Little Pony) that would have kept it fresh in people's minds. I always felt they should have gone the MLP route and reboot it as an updated cartoon, build up a new generation of fans and THEN do a movie. Poor Jem. 😢

It's one thing to take creative liberties with the source material, but with Jem they completely disregarded it. Jem's stage performance, as well as her bandmates, WERE holograms. I worked at a little run down one screen theatre when it came out and it was the closest we got to a new release the whole time I worked there because it was bumped out of first run theaters a week after it was released. I worked a couple of seasons on a terrible, terrible tv series called "Equal Justice", which was unbelievably bad. I died of boredom just being part of it. The weirdness was heightened by the fact that several of the regulars on the show were actually on the edge of becoming successful and famous, but I've never heard any of them ever admit to being any part of it. Sarah Jessica Parker was about to jump into the stratosphere with Sex and the City, and Joe Morton was going to be in some smash hit movies...
I think I saw a rerun once, and I couldn't even watch it, it was so awful. They had a bunch of "guest" directors who did not help the show, and spent all their time telling everyone about the last big thing they had done. Everyone was embarrassed by that turkey...
It's always been amazing to me that no matter what, there has to be some magical alchemy to film making, since no matter how many success "boxes" you check off, there has to be that perfect mix of people and timing that just comes together.

(This has probably already been mentioned, but here goes...) Michael Cimino's follow up to his critically acclaimed movie, "The Deer Hunter" (1978) was the notorious "Heaven's Gate" (1980). Running 228 minutes, the movie was so wildly panned that it was pulled (if I remember correctly) after just one day. Not only did critics and audiences alike found it incredibly slow-paced and boring, the movie eventually came under fire for it's mistreat meant of animals, including 4 horses who died during the making of the film (legend has it that one of them was literally blown up; not sure if that's true, but that was what was reported at the time). The movie turned Cimino as a One Hit Wonder of a director, and his career never recovered.
