on contrary to what everyone's saying, I actually liked the ending. it only shows that the prince and the princess aren't always meant to be together. Jun's mother reaction is the most gut wrenching part in all this, she blames herself for her daughter's years of silence, when it's mostly the fault of her father.
@@DakkaDakka12well, no, I'd say the father had far more in her not being able to speak with him blaming her. But it is because both of them called her a chatterbox where she, in her mind, realised that she should not speak anymore because, in her eyes, her speaking caused this her being a chatterbox caused it, so she in essence cursed herself to not talk again. (I know it wasn't really a curse, but the idea is still a good illustration to what actually happened) but yeah, although the mother definitely had a big part in it, I would still say the father had the highest part, including the push over the edge not to talk ever again.
One of the most underrated! So on my slice of life tour I honestly have to rank this in my top 5. I love how the ending didn’t do the usual anime thing and force the Male and female MC’s together. Solid 10/10 film for me purely from the ending and it’s severely underrated “I love you...” “thank you, but I love someone else”

I honestly think that this right here sounds better than any version of greensleeves I've found to this date. Just the absolute clarity of voice makes it so beautiful.
You really get goosebumps when you watch this scene at the theater. I've seen it in a cinema at least five times, plus the premier at Chichibu Muse Park on August 29th, 2015 which stopped before this part due to an accident (actually it stopped when Takumi's grandma says "I'm sorry!" so we could take it as a joke and got free tickets for the official run started three weeks later🤣).
The thing that make cry the most is when fujiwara keiji character speak during this, I know its nothing special but i always love his voice, and now i can only listen to his voice by re-watching old animes 😭😭😭😭
Also, I actually wanted Takumi to end up with Naruse at first but as the movie progresses and I realized Tasaki was slowly developing feelings for Naruse, I end up wishing for them to be together instead. I mean, Naruse and Tasaki would quite make into a lovely couple. Plus Tasaki, despite his bad temper is actually a great guy. 💖
I actually liked this anime, and a kot of comments have been saying there's people who didn't like it. Well its been a long time since Ive watched it and Ive only remembered it again. Forgot what this anime is all about the plot etc but I do remember crying in the ending where they were singing
what so special fr this movie to me who had 'second lead male' syndrome is... finally, a story that FIRST LEAD FEMALE ENDED UP WITH SECOND LEAD MALE🙌🙌🙌 YEAAAAAAAAYYY
The MC is literally me. Accept that I'm a guy. A coward who kept my mouth shut at the age of 7, fearing what would happen to me and mom as we would be thrown out on to the street. Now it's all water under the bridge. I forgave him. We have a professional/ financial alliance as he is old and I earn for the family now. But I don't quite feel sad when God punishes him time to time. People call it Karma. I call it " Reap what you sow" .
nito somewhere at the beginning of the movie: naruse's got a beautiful voice doesnt she?? me: nooooo ....idk.... me at this scene: .......FUCKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!! ;_____________________________;
You know how much the song is a big slap to her Mom. If I was Naruse, I would've been traumatized too, especially if I was told something like that. :((( The moment she started crying, I remembered how I bawled my eyes out until she finished singing. I feel for her a lot. :((
I come back to this song from time to time It gives rise to something sentimental I made a cover of this song one time, back when I still had a boyfriend A very emotionally abusive one at that Listening to this is like receiving confirmation that I did the right thing
I guess the ending was definitely told before. When they were discussing on the roof, they said "forced happy endings" I think that's what they meant. Its definitely not always like the main ones should end up together.
The romance felt rushed. If the pairings were established firmly and was given enough screen time, it wouldn't have been unsatisfying. The movie was somewhat circled only on Jun and Takumi with Natsuki and Daiki being side characters. This movie was good but that ending really irked me. If this was series instead it could've been treated far better in terms of execution and character development like Anohana.
At first I thought the same thing but if you rewatch it at least in my opinion I noticed more of a relationship (romantic not friendship) building between Daiki and Jun, while Jun and Takumi felt more like friendship.

Three words to describe Jun's parents : WORST. PARENTS. EVER.
shou tucker intensifies
It all started in her dad

(I'm not comparing which one is worse, they're both in the gang of worst fathers XD)
I actually liked this anime, and a kot of comments have been saying there's people who didn't like it. Well its been a long time since Ive watched it and Ive only remembered it again. Forgot what this anime is all about the plot etc but I do remember crying in the ending where they were singing
I like that Naruse and Tasaki are the ones who ended up together ❤
what so special fr this movie to me who had 'second lead male' syndrome is...
finally, a story that FIRST LEAD FEMALE ENDED UP WITH SECOND LEAD MALE🙌🙌🙌 YEAAAAAAAAYYY
Anohana: cried
This movie: cried again
I love her beautiful singing voice
What a beautiful voice🥰😭
ヤバイ!涙がとまらない!
I love her voice when she sings this song
nito somewhere at the beginning of the movie: naruse's got a beautiful voice doesnt she??
me: nooooo ....idk....
me at this scene: .......FUCKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!! ;_____________________________;
You know how much the song is a big slap to her Mom.
If I was Naruse, I would've been traumatized too, especially if I was told something like that. :((( The moment she started crying, I remembered how I bawled my eyes out until she finished singing. I feel for her a lot. :((
these song remind me to green leaves and my childhood. 🥺
It IS Greensleeves with different lyrics.
I come back to this song from time to time
It gives rise to something sentimental
I made a cover of this song one time, back when I still had a boyfriend
A very emotionally abusive one at that
Listening to this is like receiving confirmation that I did the right thing
I guess the ending was definitely told before. When they were discussing on the roof, they said "forced happy endings" I think that's what they meant. Its definitely not always like the main ones should end up together.
I've cried so many times because of this scene T^T
I cried my heart out in this scene
0:33
(Watashi wa koe, sayounara...)
Adiós, voz mía,
Mucho más allá de aquella montaña,
Durmiendo profundamente en aquel lago,
Allí se ha ido.
Las palabras dolorosas
Que dañan el corazón de las personas
Lloraban al no querer pronunciarlas
Ahora se han ido…
Hola, buenos días ¿Cómo estás hoy?
Cómo extraño esas simples conversaciones.
1:57
Todos se alegraron cuando mi voz desapareció.
Porque todo el mundo…
…odia las palabras que digo.
Con sollozos,
Mi voz desapareció.
Dejando todo atrás
Ahora ya no puedo ni llorar.
Anohana pissed me off tho the orange haired girl had a poor excuse of not loving the guy
Nem her name is Anal in Japanese. Just sayin’
Jennifer Cheung LMAOO
At first I thought the same thing but if you rewatch it at least in my opinion I noticed more of a relationship (romantic not friendship) building between Daiki and Jun, while Jun and Takumi felt more like friendship.
I agree...
This song broke me.

I shouldve recorded my friends reaction. She switched ships with the snap of my fingers xD. I pointed out the foreshadow in the beginning to her about 'the egg being her prince' and she didn't get it until (forgot his name) announced his love for her. XDD but i do really enjoy this movie ^^
I had goosebumps with the song. ♥️
SHE'S SO CUTE ;U;
She is also the voice actor of rem
