Remember, its okay to fail and lose in fights. While I showed some good gameplay here, I also lose all the time. Its through trial and error that you improve your game sense. But you need to experience situations to learn. If you avoid situations, you will never learn.
Thank you for the breakdown of the thought process and highlighting where enemies could be in the clips- I am slowly learning from you that making mistakes is okay Also 14:13 i like your "circle" even though i judged it
This is exactly how I used to improve. The best thing about reviewing your own gameplay is recognizing when you are making a mistake and not confusing your self with ooo their was lag. That should always be the very last excuse and the other thing is quit making excuses for yourself you should always look at a death as a mistake. Doing this can transfer between games as well. If you are always blaming teammates you could be the issue more than you realize.
I strongly agree with this... mostly. I've had many games where something entirely out of my control like the game crashing or as in a game I had recently in particular: I poked a little damage at a squad but they cracked me so I pull back to heal. I'm in a hallway at the end of which is a door, I open the door and go on the other side to heal. But as soon as I start using a battery, I'm suddenly teleported through the door and back into the hallway. I get shot more and run through the door and close it. Start popping the battery again and all of a sudden the door is open. I try to close the door and run around the corner but by that time its too late and the team has caught up with me and I'm dead. My internet was perfectly fine. One of the servers between me and the game server was dropping packets left and right. Given that this happens a lot in Apex I think it would be unhealthy to look at it as a mistake.
Hey Dazs! First and foremost, I want to thank you for your videos and your time to help us improve. I’ve been working so much and my mental health hasn’t been the best lately, but I really want to try and be the best I can be at apex and hopefully hit pred one season. I’m still trying to find a balance with everything and I know working so much and having so much on my mind will hinder my performance and I really love your videos as it helps me bit by bit. I just can’t find the motivation to grind mouse and keyboard, do aim trainers and play solo pubs etc. I’m trying, but thank you so much for your videos and hopefully one day I can muster up some energy and keep it consistent.
BRO THANK YOU SO MUCH❤ I started implementing this in my games and In 3 days Im finding myself winning alot more gunfights I even took down 3 squads by myself in one game I really appreciate you for making this video
This was great! I really understood what you were talking about when you broke down your gameplay play-by-play. If you do more of these that would be great!
Hey Dazs, if you could. I personally would really appreciate more videos in game sense. I've made a lot of mistakes similar to yours with missing the 3 seconds with Horizon's ult. I find that I hesitate too much and have actually been looking back at my own gameplay footage and seeing this
thanks dazs for all your vids.. i can see alot of improvement on me.. like decision making, play patiently.. and i starting love to play solo no fill and i win alot ❤️
wow what a comprehensive guide on getting better at this game can't wait for my brain to absorb none of it as i continue to play purely reactively and do dumb shit plays that get me killed every time
Bro i love your channel Dasz , you've taught me so damn much about apex bro. keep doing you thang bro , hopefully one day i run into you in the apex lobbies.
That’s one of my pet peeves with watching streamers. The whole “Why were they there? Why are they playing that way? Yadda yadda yadda.” Especially after they get wiped. I mean, it worked, didn’t it?
I definitely am guilty of this also. Its just you try and think two steps ahead and end up being wrong or get surprised. A game of chess, sometimes the odd plays are what work.
@@Dazs you know, you’re right. I’ve watched my fair share of chess as well, and I’ve seen many chess players get confused when someone doesn’t play the norm. And to be fair, I’m not in any position to criticize anyone. I’m just an old slow dude hooked on the dopamine drip of Apex.
Very informative gameplay and gameplay sense wise. One thing you did not talk about is on the solo clip when you crack and flesh a lot the ash you went for the drop with reload which could had gone really bad if both the ash and path was on same page and beamed you when you dropped. So question would it been actually better to either reload before doing the drop or drop on the side so you are not immidately infront of the duo or then actually pull the bocek which had the shatter caps hop-up on? Awesome videos and keep up the great content :)
This is honestly the reason I stream. Cause it’s a free storage bank of gameplay to watch back and understand what things I did wrong / right in a fight
I used to do well, I mean like slightly above average with plenty of space to improve.. until my pc bombed and 7 months passed before I could finally jump back on. Now I feel like I’ve never touched the game and just simply hopeless.
ok ive been watching these game sense and positioning tuts for months now. where do i find more people that actually have game sense as well. even trying to IGL isnt doing any good. call outs making no headway in my teams and they dont listen ever.
@@Dazs Right, right. Im just wondering where I can find people that aren't randoms. My disc are pretty casual and I am wanting to go further than casual and have been looking into comp. I just know the state of things for me is not a winning condition. just seeking some guidance.
@@Dazs i enjoy this game, even losing. i just want good fun gun fights. working around a gunfight, even surviving several third parties, while my team is just dying is a bit disheartening. i mean i wipe, rez then wipe again then eventually 4th or 5th or who knows what party and rezd mates just keep dying im like what is wrong here... Im fresh back into gaming after like 10 years of not really gaming and a lot has changed. I just dont know where is the place in the community to be seeking help. socials are not my forte and im no streamer. I just want a team that works together well. i dont even care about status or rank. literally just wanna have fun. i feel higher comp will be more fun because people actually understand how to play. im not out here saying im king. i really just find enjoyment in well executed team play.
This is why in fighting games I hate fighting newer players. Even players better than me play more predictably while “bad” players just do random stiff that hits me at times
I find myself wishing there was a way to slow down gamesense and isolate it and actually be able to play out the result. Not by watching my vods and speculating about what I should have done and stopping there because I didn't do it. Its really hard to learn to gather up all the information you have during the game because it happens so fast and you can't slow it down, but you lose a lot of efficiency when you have to rewatch the gameplay and gather up that information after the fact then watch yourself die because you should have done X. Unfortunately you also don't know if X is the right move either, so you could play 100+ games before getting into a similar situation again just to find that X was actually not the answer, or maybe you didn't even remember to do X so it takes even more games to find out that it was the wrong answer. I wish there was a way to isolate the decision making slowed down so you can take it gradually faster and faster as you get better but also be able to see the results of your decisions in real time so you know if you're solution was correct or not.
Or just play the game and have fun. Don't think too hard about it. Btw I'm talking to all you people that only play pubs. The information in the video is actually top notch if you grind competitive.
I kept watching how to get better at apex legends videos but it turns out that this video is better than all of them in terms of getting better so thx :)
Stupid players definitely throw you off. Sometimes I get wrecked by a person who was 100m away from his other 2 mates over-looting that gets a lucky sneak attack from behind. I be like. Why wasn't he with his team?
the one thing that sucks about playing like you are actually thinking before acting is being called a p**** or scared or weak, simply because you didn't push a fight that you know you can't win for whatever reason... It gets so old.
I use it a ton in all my videos :) I rotate same songs. Then backtrack to Apex sound track. I can link like 40+ videos using this various songs! Its all old SNES music mostly.
Thanks Dazs, gonna start recording and watching my games back. Would it be best to watch good or bad gameplay? or do they both have different advantages?
both is good. when u have good gameplay u can see what made is so good and what made u winning fights. But also bad games are important to watch to see what u have done wrong
