I absolutely love the Amp crush's tires, & body, they just look fantastic IMO, what a huge difference a $60 upgrade can make, well worth it IMO, I plan on picking a few of these esc/motor combos up for my really old stampede and a Losi XXX short course. Thanks for showing it off, much appreciated!
@@10thScaleGarage yo dude, and on rustler, my pinion was too big aswell, except mine was a 30 tooth. anyways, i just drilled the bogger hole out farther with a drill bit that was the exact width of the hole already. anyways, it worked, just all my electronics overheat because my pinion is too big.
Awesome! I did the same to Amp Crush, but the 48 pitch pinion and spur kept stripping out! Converted to 32 pitch and 2000kv 3s and since then no problems! Completly insane. My favorate truck in the world!
2wd monster trucks are awesome. I ordered an Amazon Special brushless setup for like $60 or $70 for my old RC10 Gold Pan that I converted to a truck, using the Kyosho conversion. The Gold Pan has the Stealth on it with a B4.1 V2 slipper on it. I set up for brushless way before the re-release of the gold pans some years back. The ESC died with in 5 minutes of me hooking it up. I sent in an email telling them that the ESC died and they gave me a full refund with in hours. I spent the refund on a Castle Sidewinder 3 ESC. 2 years on that motor/ESC and they are doing awesome.
I grabbed a Hobbywing quicrun 120a ESC for $48 and a surpass hobby rocket 3660 4700kv for $36. Truck does wheelies on 4wd and can go 56mph on 3S. love it
Castle sidewinder for $99 was my last purchase & threw it in a 2wd Slash M.T conversion lol. Runs good when you can put the power to the ground. I have RC'S that will hit 118mph, IMO speed isn't as fun. My preference is 60 ish, is my sweet spot 👍💯

So I have a 2WD ECX Ruckus Monster Truck I got in a trade and a guy put a brushless setup in it. I freaking love that thing. So tough. Fast, those massive tires soaks up everything. Jumps pretty well also. I did the metal transmission upgrade ($30) but it was probably unnecessary. After taking out the plastic trans, not a chipped tooth in sight. Still, it's bullet proof now. I once tried a GoolRC brushless motor/esc combo. I went up in smoke in 5 minutes. But the ebay guy gave me a refund. Anyways, this was before I knew much about RC. I had a 27 tooth pinion which would have been great for top speed but adds way more stress on the motor & esc. Is that why it went up in smoke? Don't know. But it didn't help. So going forward, I tend to lean towards ungearing my RCs. Less stress on the motor & esc and your acceleration will be great. And you're right. 2WD setups are way more forgiving on the heat of the motor. They're great.
