- This is such a beautiful and haunting song. This is from the Shaka Zulu soundtrack. The artist is Mallie Kelly. The composer is Dave Pollecutt who composed many songs on the soundtrack. It's interspersed with clips from the movie, emphasizing the "Queen of Queens".

Finally someone came through for me. My favorite song in the entire movie. Only heard it on the 4 dvd set ending. "For it was spoken in the prophecy, my son will rule through me." Love it. Shaka ended up crazy though. I heard this theme so many times throughout the movie but finally heard the words to it from the DVD set. Thanks for posting.

When I listen to this, I think of my only son, the storyline almost paralell to mine. When I look at my son, he is a warrior, he somewhat reminds me of Shaka in his actions even today!!!!

I love this song. I have no children so named my gorgeous calico cat Nandi and I sing this song to her (well, the parts I can remember), and her eyes go all squinty like she just loves it. The miniseries is my all time favorite, have the DVD and watch it probably once a year at least, know it all by heart. All the music is beautiful throughout the series - I sing along, like a true nutcase, at the top of my lungs (windows closed of course). Thanks for posting!

@GYHE465 IDK about jealous....but it seemed like the Aunt skeptical of the way nandi was she entered HER kingdom. They always stressed the Aunt wanted whats best for the people....and nandi seemed to have a bad aura around her when she first came to the Aunts presence.

Shaka mother suffered a great deal. She was strong through it all and never gave up. She is honestly my inspiration. I watched this movie as a child many times and learned very early how to be careful with men. They are sweet talkers. As a little girl I never trusted a smooth talker, especially after watching what Nandi went through. I was only 12. Older guys will offer me money, and other things to date me, and I always said no thank you. When you watch someone get played the way Nandi got played it teaches you to be careful. She gave her virginity to this jerk, and treated her like a two cent whore after he got what he wanted.This is when television was still decent in America. Now it's all trash and alot of gay promotion. You honestly can't allow kids to just watch television like my days. Now television is confusing young children to believe it's normal and okay to be gay. Now I can't walk the streets without seeing some guy switching in the streets. America is honestly becoming Sodom and Gomorrah little by little. Hollywood has gone pure demonic now.

@@RickyReaction The Zulu word for that is "ama hlay endlela" and in 18th to 19th century Zulu language, that meant a very specific kind of sexual act (translates as coitus interruptus). Let's say that the lovers intended to do that, but the emotional wave really carried them away. But without that act, there won't be a story of Shaka to put the Zulu in the world map.
