Wow, I’ve been on a Vietnam war kick on RUclips these last few weeks and keep coming across these gems. What an amazing story these men have to share. Surprised this hasn’t had more views.
Amen man - Hollywood and these so called celebrities who are celebrated rarely have the character of these unsung heroes. And never have sacrificed what these men have and some the ultimate sacrifice of their lives.
Jerry Shriver was a SOG operative. Angels knocked down 40 bullets or so for Shriver. As a kid, I kept having a Holy Spirit that kept coming to me. I wound up getting "Holy Spirit works". The Spirit would possess me and draw pictures using a pencil. That Spirit drew a picture of Jerry Shriver and written on the picture was "saved lives". Shriver saved lives. Literally, Angels or an Angel knocked down bullets for Shriver to help him out. Also, if SEALs or boat crews were fired on by enemy on the shore, Angels came down to help the boat crew. The Angels would line up 7 bullets on each side of every bullet fired by the boat crew. That made a line of 15 bullets, a flying saw. They would cut people's heads off, cut people in half, and removes their heart and drop it in their lap. The thing is, gunpowder propelled the initial bullet, and ANGELS propelled the other 14 bullets. If the flying saw hit a tree, the angels would push the bullet thru the tree and the enemy might get hit by a small wrecking ball that burst out of the tree and it may knock their shoulder plum off their body, or go right thru them and leave a huge hole in them. Then the Angels keep going in a straight line til they hit another evil person. The Angels would knock trees down towards the enemy. If the enemy was dumb enough to hang around after trees started falling and they used the fallen tree for cover, the Angels would turn that tree into a pile of sawdust. I got to watch this happen, the Spirit showed me the actual scenario. I explain it like this; if that Spirit wants you to watch an Aerosmith show from front row seats, It can block your vision and make you feel like you're front row at an Aerosmith show. I watched a head get cut off, bodies cut in half etc.. A SEAL Commander pull his pistol out after he got off the boat onto shore, he looked at an enemy and saw his guts out in his lap, and the Commander shot him in the head so his suffering was minimal. After the SEALs or boat crew pulls off to leave, if a heartless enemy steps out to shoot them in their back, an Angel will remove their heart from their chest and drop it in their lap before they hit the ground.
what a way to live life as a young man, full of Testostrone, and feel of invincibility. I can't even imagine going through this, I would be scared shitless.
My uncle flew A4s on close air support runs, he said although it was scary as fuck (even not being on the ground directly) it was the BEST time of his life
Sergeant Hunt was from my team A322 at SouiDa. I with a company of Indig, from A322 set up along the Soui Da river and extracted remnants of China Boy 3 with rope bridges I set up across the river. It was there that I heard of Hunt dying. Ray Fratus
Anybody ever thought of vietnamese left behind those gates at Saigon US Embassy and throughout RVN? What commies have done to those people? Mikes were as well as Nungs, Rhades and other montagnards simply left behind, abandoned, doomed. Shame
I think of those who helped us every time I come across one of these story's . We made promises and then left them to their fate at the hands of the commies. I hope a few of those Nungs survived to resettle in peaceful lands.
Commies? Vietnam is a very poor country but very beautiful and a tourist destination. Check out the country today on YT, it's booming but for covid. The US had no business in Vietnam, but I had some great times there and had some Vietnamese friends.

I do know thousands of Vietnamese were rescued and taken to the US by navy ships. Nonetheless - not only is war horrible but the aftermath as well.
