John Bogovic (Janelia Machine Learning Researcher) presents "A Tour of Chunked Storage with Fiji: N5, HDF5, and Zarr."
Abstract: This talk will be a live demonstration showing tools from the Saalfeld lab for working with modern, chunked storage formats (HDF5, N5, Zarr) using Fiji and Java. I will show features of the Fiji plugins for reading, writing, and viewing data from these formats. We will discuss the tradeoffs involved in storing your data in this way, as well as the current state and future of metadata standards using these formats. Finally, some coding examples will be covered if there is time and interest.
