I'm a guy, and I admire male ballet dancers who have broken thru into big roles. It is so hard, and such a long path. They really keep the balance alive: the girls need partners, the stories need the boys; and the men have an athletic, different quality that dance needs.
I’m not a guy, but I could not agree more. Also, I am a violinist, not a ‘balleticist.’ Based on the only given clip of Gabriel Figueredo, I perceive a shift in balance, and not in a partnering way.

Gabriel Figueredo is ethereal. I saw him for the first time dancing at the Prix De Lausanne. I'm not always a fan of the contemporary dance but his performance of Chroma was beyond measure. I was so mesmerized by his performance and I did a side by side of his performance compared to his competitors. His body mechanics are beyond compare, his emotional understanding of the nuances in the music were like none other. I'm sure he'll have a long, lustrous career.
Totally agree. I also saw him at the Prix and was completely engulfed in his ability to pull the focus towards which part of his body he moved.. Even the rehearsal of Chroma was something special he just out performed all the others. Not sure about other peoples comments on his masculinity but he is young and will develop his own persona for the stage. I am also a big fan of Victor Caixeta who is stunning to watch and very pleasant to listen to in interviews..

I have to agree with you, Motta-Soares has such fluidity and grace allied to classical technique. (I'm thinking "Tsiskaridze" when I see DM-S as the Prince in red). Thank you Bundu Ballerina: all these dancers are fabulous; and thank you for naming the ballerinas.
It does my heart good to see so many talented young men who are just brilliant dancers,i can see that ballet will always be a wonderful art and will never die out.
That Chroma choreo! I'm a belly dancer and those torso isolations and flowing movements are more in *our* wheelhouse; I've never seen a ballet dancer do that whether male or female! It requires a completely different type of muscle control than ballet demands. I'm blown away!

I once visited rehursels in a well known Brazilian ballet school ...I was quite astonished how many male dancers followed the training ...a lot of talent over there ...
All of these Brazilian male dancers are definitely excellent danseurs - - flexible and strong and each possess a great technique 🌟 🤩 ⭐️. For creativity tho - - I ❤️ love Jovani Furlan's and take a look at his stunning 'full mane' because - - if he's dancing - - so does his long hair covering his neck.
