@@donalclarkebecause of modern lifestyles of sitting so much, alot of people could benefit from having a stronger low back and glutes and hams. That being said this is mainly a weightlifting exercise. I cant imagine a non weightlifter even trying this honestly. Plenty of other ways to strengthen your back if you arent always in the gym

This guy is great for information on the back. I need to strengthen my muscles all around my core and along my spine. So glad i found this. I had back injury pain for years that led to substance abuse and damn near ruined my life. I almost died and got clean so i want to reduce the risk of ending up with chronic pain ever again. We all need this knowledge.

Not all of it is lean mass though, she carries a lot of fat on her frame. In fact she has a typical powerlifter physique where they don't have a lot of visible musculature because their training emphasizes strength over hypertrophy
Broooo! I need this. Worked a food event, wrecked my glutes and lower back for about 8 weeks before I was able to slow down and correct my movements. My glutes Felt like I was planking to exhaustion daily! Once rehabbed, I plan to strengthen my core, and likely will incorporate this exercise. I can feel my back loosening up a little each day.
Don’t forget to strengthen those ankles and the foot muscles along with the hips! As someone who’s been actively recovering from a foot/lower back injury this has been a game changer for me!

You can use knees over toes guys advice provided you have used squat university advice beforehand. If you are struggling with repetitive strains, injuries, etc. - you listen to squat university.
And also target a doctors appointment for a herniated disc - don’t do it , the risk and benefit ratio is not worth it, just do lat pull downs on a matching (front to upper chest) just lean back more

Jefferson curls will simply destroy your discs and herniate them. Since the exercise is attempting to target the full posterior line of the erector spinae, it shouldn’t be compromising the spine. The same way one shouldn’t compromise the ACL for plyometric or ballistic sake. What to do instead? Superman variations. Three are provided below. Keep these LIGHT, you do NOT want a career-ending injury. Yoga Mat Bodyweight Full Superman Extension for Functionality 1.) Stability Ball Back Extension with Dumbbell Y-Raises for Strength 2.) Back Hyper-Extension with Banded I-Raises for Endurance 3.) GHD Back Extension with Kettlebell Swing for Power
Stay away from this with heavy weight unless you know for certain you have a perfect spine. If not, it will overbuild the tight areas you add to your scoliosis if you have. I know this from experience as a young man. FYI or not.

Definitely be proactive about it. If it's like my scoliosis there are exercises to strengthen it . I mean be proactive as in read up about it, get diagnosed, find information from multiple sources and if therapy and exercise can fix it then become a beast with those.
You should probably see a doctor. And most importantly DONT do whatever it was that made you hurt your back. You clearly did something incorrectly and that will mess you up for life if you keep going down that path
That's more of a straight-legged deadlift or a Romanian deadlift. Good mornings are similar but I feel like they apply more to help with a strong squat

@@ethanwasme4307 cutting out carbs is also BS way to lose weight. Because without carbs you lose a lot of water retention. The moment you start carbs again you will fool up with water again XD. Low cars is fine. No daarna carbs is bs (I'm a biologist with specialties in physiology and toxicology) Also, just an FYI, I did strength training, but not to lose weight. It was to gain muscle and lose fat. But you only lose fat with a calorie deficit. But you can still gain muscle with a calory deficit if you have energy in the form of fat and still consume enough protein. I lost 24kg in the first 7 months and then I started to gain weight because my fat got to admit 15-13%
So I’ve been an archer since I was 8 & since then (even now at 25 ha) I’ve been extremely self conscious about how broad my shoulders are. Over the years, so much practice has made me end up with really broad shoulders with a naturally narrow hip ratio. It feels weird having such broad shoulders & back as a woman, but I really enjoy coming on here and seeing other women with strong backs & how confident they are with that work they’ve put in TO BECOME strong. I think I’ll always feel like I need to be cute and petite 24/7 & therefore I lack some sort of femininity, but I don’t think that about these women at all- I think they’re cool and strong and I wanna be like them. Kinda unrelated, but happy to see none the less & it helps me realize that I’m simply being overly self critical & do enjoy being strong.

Eat less, but eat propper food, like meat/fish, vegetables and rice/bread/ potatoes. It’s a slow prosses, but it's safe. Take it from a skinny guy. (Make adjustments along the way according to the weight you aim for)

Word of advice, if you're just starting out DO NOT do it with weights. Use body weight first.

Also, just an FYI, I did strength training, but not to lose weight. It was to gain muscle and lose fat.
But you only lose fat with a calorie deficit. But you can still gain muscle with a calory deficit if you have energy in the form of fat and still consume enough protein.
I lost 24kg in the first 7 months and then I started to gain weight because my fat got to admit 15-13%

This is the exercise that broke Bruce Lee's back.
So I’ve been an archer since I was 8 & since then (even now at 25 ha) I’ve been extremely self conscious about how broad my shoulders are. Over the years, so much practice has made me end up with really broad shoulders with a naturally narrow hip ratio. It feels weird having such broad shoulders & back as a woman, but I really enjoy coming on here and seeing other women with strong backs & how confident they are with that work they’ve put in TO BECOME strong. I think I’ll always feel like I need to be cute and petite 24/7 & therefore I lack some sort of femininity, but I don’t think that about these women at all- I think they’re cool and strong and I wanna be like them. Kinda unrelated, but happy to see none the less & it helps me realize that I’m simply being overly self critical & do enjoy being strong.
You know how much times I’ve told you, I’m Proud of you.. till I stumbled across this video & the bloke educating the beginners.. that’s shows your hard work & committed. I love you keep doing what your doing.. relax baby I’ll be there in the gym 😋 heheheh

Eat less, but eat propper food, like meat/fish, vegetables and rice/bread/ potatoes. It’s a slow prosses, but it's safe. Take it from a skinny guy. (Make adjustments along the way according to the weight you aim for)
