One criticism: for the "chandra vansha" (lunar dynasty) you didn't show Chandra at all... From a matriarchal concept, it looked like surya-vansha only. I would suggest rather than going down Marichi-Kashyapa way, it should have been Atri-Soma way....

A lot of hard work gone into this genealogical research which is based on our rich literary evidence. I'm an archaeologist and often wonder how Hindu literature (Puranas in particular but other sources too) has been able to provide evolutionary evidence from Matsya to Manu. Looking at this genealogy I'm now wondering how many of the ancients may have been in their early forms!! Will have to watch this video a few times at least...

Subi CS Ambika + Vyas got one son Dhrithrashtra who married Gandhari to get 100 sons and one daughter. The eldest we know as Duryodhana. In the Mahabharata war all the children of Dhrithrashtra died. All children of Pandavas also died but one boy Parikshit, grandson of Arjuna survived who became king.
Duryodhan's step brother (from Dhrithrashtra's second wife, who was in his service) Yuyutsa also survived the war, he fought from Pandav's side.

Technically Pandav are the children of Indra, Dharma (Yama), Vayu and Ashwini brothers, which is not mentioned in this entire video!! And the lineage after Pandav belongs to Lord Indra's children!!
Its a family tree.. and only arjun putra abhimanyu's putra Parikshit remain after mahabharat war that's why in this video only arjun had shown not his brothers..

Arjun putra abhimanyu was too much overrated that's why ppl only make him as saviour of Pandavas lineage etc... But unfortunately Yudhisthira had one more wife named Devika through her he had a living heir who ruled his mother's kingdom same goes to eachother 3 Pandavas who had one more extra wives whose sons rules their maternal kingdom even they are deserved to be mentioned because here pandu lineage means all Pandavas lineage should be mentioned aswell. By the way where is Arjun chitraganda son went even he was also living heir of Arjun ryt so now you understood who is making the mistake here That's what it is . The admin of this post purposely didn't mention other Pandavas and their other wives who still had great sons who continued pandu lineage aswell.

@@AnichakraVids i tried to compile it once and no doubt i failed. Because as you mentioned names like survuvasan "First" Then second, third and so on!
In addition you can't make a proper tree because they had brain child, mystical child , multi husbands multi wives culture. So traces are complicated.
But still its commendable our ancestors preserved these kings family chart. Unlike Egyptian's family chart is complex and incomplete.

After Parshuram removed Kshatriyas from the Earth, Suryavansh and Chandravansh was lost for a while. Then Brahmins took the role of Kshatriyas and formed kingdoms again. This is why some kings in India have/had a gotra system like Brahmins instead of a vansh parampara like Kshatriyas. Vidarbha (modern day MP-Maharashtra) was one such kingdom. Rukmini, wife of Krishn, was from Vidarbh. Her brother Rukmi was a renowned warrior.
Others took to tracing their lineage back to Manu and named themselves Suryavanshis and Chandravanshis according to the side of Manu's family tree that they belonged.
