Behind-The-Scenes Commentary:
I think I could still tweak the arrangement to have some higher energy in the 2nd half, maybe have quarter note bass drum thumps in the 2nd chorus instead of half notes throughout, but it's also fine where it is right now. (I think)
This is also probably the last video I'm going to record outside in the winter.
Until the weather gets warmer, all future covers will be indoors as recording this one outside was pretty frustrating.
Frozen fingers don't play well.
I would record 2-3 attempts, then shove my hand in my jacket pockets with hand warmers for about 5 minutes at a time.
My guitar would get colder and colder over time, making it harder to play as my fingers would freeze up against the frigid steel strings.
Audio recording wasn't too difficult?
But I kept playing it differently a whole bunch.
The amount of slides and hammer ons/pull offs would differ between recordings.
When I record, I usually just play for fun
I get better results compared to when I'm trying to play it perfectly and uniformly, but it's generally hard for me to replicate that exact recording when shooting the video since there's too many things for me to worry about already.
Ah well, it's how I function, and I know how to work with it.

However, I have a question about the technique: when slapping with the thumb, should I flick the remaining fingers or pluck the strings? I wasn’t quite sure, so I wanted to ask.
As someone who mainly plays strumming styles, this technique feels quite challenging for me.
