This is really inspiring Day. Hopefully we can all network over the years as we contribute to Cyber and society in our different ways. You make your parents proud. Thank U sir!
Very insightful video. I am currently in the process of watching messer’s videos and taking notes from them. I am aiming to take the A+ core 1 and core 2 this year.
how much knowledge or what skills are required to get into these internships, just really need some guidance, I did some self-study on basic networking and on cybersecurity fundamentals from cisco academy also did basic pentesting, starting to learn the defensive side so yeah..........., need help :) also, I'm 19 XD
@@matrix9046 bro then you honestly have all the knowledge you need! 😄 I started my internship knowing almost nothing but basic networking. All you need to do is find the internship or a program that has internships. I got one from a program in my community college called Year Up (it was free and they paid me). Best of luck to you!
great job man! with the vidoe and with your career, it's hard to speak like you did and also get through all the studying for cyber, I hope i get there too
Currently Studying to get A, Net, Sec and CySA without a Uni degree. I know this pathways works but rn after watching this Video, it made me want to study more
Yeah networking is a beast of it’s own. I had to do that Network+ to fight that mind battle and then when I finally get the CCNA, that mind battle is gone forever.
@@DayCyberwox So would you say if I want to get into Cyber Security and the network + is a beast? should I just study for the Security + or should I try to follow the order? I just failed my a+ 1001 by 10 points so mad but i'll pass it eventually. Either way just looking to get into a junior security role
@@WatsonInfosec do i need net+ to pass security+? i know they say comptia tests overlap...i have a networking fundamentals microsoft cert like i know basic ports lol
i wish my brother was like you, i work for the gov in IT and my brother is a senior in highschool. this dude has taken 0 of my advice to set himself up, ignored all cert advice, internships etc.
@@rbolden35 - Dell Inspiron is pretty good which I started with. 16gb ram with 500HDD Gb storage which I later switch to a SSD. That should be good for networking and programming if you decide

Bro, carry on the great work. You are going to smash boundaries.Your are making us proud. I'm guessing your dad is a proud Igbo dad. He sounds very supportive, God bless him.
Honestly, I’ve been hearing that a lot and am debating even going for it. Would it be a bad idea to just go for a CCNA instead? Or is learning Networking just another thing that’s *supposed* to be a bit boring? I also just don’t want to get a Network+ if people are even gonna pay attention to it on the resume.
It really depends. Learning networking could be boring no doubt but it’s not alll that bad if you’re using the right resources and have the right instructor. Back in freshman year if college I had two networking instructors from 2 different networking classes one made it extremely boring, the other really engaged us so it depends on who’s is teaching sometimes. The CCNA is definitely of more value but I personally think the network+ is quite sufficient. But...you can’t go wrong with a CCNA.
@@DayCyberwox Yeah, true. The Network+ gets only as boring as the instructor makes it. I’m hoping to find more hands on material to make it a bit more exciting as well.
@@DayCyberwox CCNA all the way. Btw you are doing what I am just getting into. I have been in telco networking for ages. I will connect with you on other media. Keep doing the good work.

Question: What laptop do you recommend for a cyber student? Also, how much RAM and SSD do you recommend?
It depends on what you’re gonna be using it for
What’s your budget my man?

Could you share what a standard starting salary is for cybersecurity field?
It really depends on how experience, education, certs and overall skills(and location too). What are the qualifications of the person?
