Hi Martin, Fantastic design and the result is very realistic. Well done ! Just one remark: you can omit the use of plaster by just mixing PVA glue in the color blend you put on the foam. It ads some texture as does the plaster but the process is faster.... and it never cracks for it's more flexible. Greetings and thanks for sharing.
I will try this method on my o gauge layout for my 4 to 6 feet long inclined runs going from my lower level to my upper level. Takes time but saves huge amount of dollars over store bought walls and pillars. You are an unbelievably ingenious and skilled artist.
I really like how you take very simple and unique methods and make them work beautifully. Is this bridge museum quality? May be not. Does this look great? YES! I'll possibly never need a bridge like that in foreseeable future, but this will remain in my list of references. Cheers! Kaustav
Hej Magnus! Va kul! Du tittar också på mina videos? Okej.. Vi skulle ju ha träffats.. Jag är på gång.. Lägger 10-12 timmar om dygnet 7 dagar i veckan på RUclips nu.. Jag hör av mig! 👍
Speechless. I'm impressed with your ability of using simple and low budget technics and materias for creating scenery. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. Cheers.
Wow! What and incredible bridge. Your work is simply excellent and the new bridge really improves the look of the whole layout by adding a lot of visual interest. Thanks for sharing this.
Thank you for your guidance. Using some of your techniques I'm working on a scratch build as a gift for friends. I did find that using tweezers gave me twice as many blocks. At random points the blocks would brake and added a little feature.
Your workmanship and attention to detail is fantastic with great results . I have been watching you use that tool you made for the vertical lines in the bricks . It would seem you could modify the tool to imprint the whole brick or multiples at once by cutting the tab off so its level with the holder you made , have different sizes . If a tool for this does not already exist there needs to be , you can have the patent but i want a sample from the first production run . lol .
Incredible work friend, I will try to do something similar but perhaps they will finish the basilica of the Sagrada familia in my city Barcelona.best regards
Awesome. What a beautiful labour of love and thank you for the inspiration. It's a technique that I will definitely use on my HO layout. Thank you for sharing.
I saw your video and i love it, my problem is that i don't understand english of all and there are details that i loose like the electrical cutter you use for cut the stirofoam. I must investigate it. It is amazing. Thanks for your videos and excuse my bad english.
Did you have any particular existing construction in mind when you designed this? or is this just a design of various architecture you have seen. I like the way the structure makes sense, as in, it doesn't look like it needs magic to keep it in place. Thanks for showing this.
Hi! It’s a mix of different constructions adapted to the reality on my layout. I don’t think this construction would be possible to realize in real life, while the spans are too straight. The forces would be too heavy for the stone arches
Very Nice Martin. We are just starting up a model railroad here in Skævinge (near Hillerød in Denmark). We got about 44 kvm to make Our layout. We Will send you some pictures along The Road / process ;-). Keep up The good work. Very inspiring.
Your detailed work, is incredibly amazing! As always; Excellent instructual video, Marklino! Always enjoy your Friday tutorials! (My NYC model subway, is currently buried under Ice in Northern New Jersey).
Hi again Martin, I can't believe how professional your videos are, I get a little heart flutter every time I see a notification about your latest videos, it feels like I'm in the room with you. Thanks for super videos, super performances and super education. I'm thinking of setting up a track in my garden is that something you have ever thought about doing yourself? Toby
Hi Toby! I’m so glad to hear you like the videos! I have been thinking of a garden railway, but it would require some efficient negotiation with my wife. 😄
Thank you for your nice videos, I learnt a lot. I tried to rebuild your cutting device, if I connected it to the power charger the wire is getting red is this normal or has my power charger too much energy?
Hello, Thx voor this helpfull video, nicely made with cheap materials and great result. Keep placing this kind of videos, it will inspire lots of people, great job. Just made my first video of my layout, working now 10 months on it :-) Greetings from the Netherlands :-)
Really good information! Inspiring! The plaster mix that you apply to the engraved surface...is it a plaster mix or just a runny mix of plaster? Have you any further details on this?
Hello Martin! Shared your link in the comments on Chadwick Model Railway channel as an idea for a stone arch bridge, with Creds to your channel. Hope that's OK?!
Hi, just wanted to let you know that this particular logo at 1:04 isn't the real CE Mark, this one is the "china export" one look on the web for the difference. CE mark vs china export. the normal CE logo has more between the letters.
I wish you would not use the wording "EASY" in your video titles. Looks like you have way more patients to make all the stone patterns on all the pieces. It would take me weeks and I'd try to find a cookie cutter to just stamp large areas, but then it would have to be able to form to non-flat shapes too! Your results always look so realistic and fit the scale you are working with. Master builder for sure!
This dude is unbelievable

Hi Philip! Wow! I’ll try that! Thank you for the information!

Hi Norman! Thank you! Yes! Maaaany bricks in this one! 👍😄
Great. the illuminated statues are brilliant. greets lui
Super unglaublich Nummer eins
Very nice build!
Very nicely done bridge, but what intrigues me is -how do you run the DC loco on the three rail AC track? Converted or is there a trick involved?
Zo geweldig je moet de tijd ervoor hebben maar als je een treinbaan heb zie je maar dat je het steeds mooier kan maken en blijven verbeteren
Patients is a virtue. Excellant work.
Speechless. I'm impressed with your ability of using simple and low budget technics and materias for creating scenery. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. Cheers.

Sehr cool gemacht . Ein Klasse viedeo.
Der Kleber mit dem alles geklebt wurde , ist Holzleim oder ? Danke
Hello marklinofsweden:
That looks awesome, realy great job
Really good information! Inspiring! The plaster mix that you apply to the engraved surface...is it a plaster mix or just a runny mix of plaster? Have you any further details on this?
Having used plaster before I'd say its just a thinner regular model plaster. I'd probably try to get it to a yoghurt like consistence
Amazing as always! More wonderful tips and idea's.
You could make a profile from the wall with a 3 D printer and the you just need th press it in the foam.
But he is trying to keep costs down 3D printers are expensive

How does one measure to scale for a bridge
