I'm so glad that you're understanding Alicent's motivations too. So many people started hating her even in the earlier episodes just because she and Rhaenyra are at odds with each other, but when you analyze her motivations, it really makes sense as well.
Daemon and Viserys's parents were siblings and Viserys and Aemma were cousins, incest was “normalized”, so to speak, in the Targaryen culture to keep the blood of the dragon pure, but few were the times that both fell in love, Jaehaerys and Alysanne (Viserys and Daemon grandparents) did have a love relationship and i want to believe from everything i saw in the season, that Rhaenyra and Daemon did share (more than a duty) a mutual affection that you will see later. i love your reactions, they are my favorites!
I love that Viserys collapses as soon as the marriage ceremony is completed. Like it was taking every ounce of his strength to stay standing, but he refused to give in to weakness until he saw it through. Also I get chills every time I see House Velaryon’s entrance at the wedding.
The wedding was originally supposed to be after the tournaments and feasts. But after the tragedy of Joffrey, the families wanted to speed up the events and do the wedding immediately after.
She definitely wants Daemon (both physically and emotionally) and doesn't see anything wrong with him being her uncle, to Targaryens it's nothing weird or shameful :)
Just some lil details I noticed and loved. 1. The red beads in Rhaenyra’s hair matching the red bead detailing on Daemon’s top. 2. The crabfeeder’s mask now being a part of Corlys’ hoard/collection of trophies and treasures. 3. During the messy part of the wedding party when Laenor was getting hurt the entire time Laena was doing what she could to get to her brother despite the potential danger to herself. Love their bond 🥺. 4. Harwin was already throwing his dad looks when things got messy. My mans was ready to get in there. And once he got the go ahead he literally just pushed like 4 grown adults out of his way like it was as easy as pushing aside air. And note for the first few seconds we see him being about as gentle as he can be pushing and shoving his way to get to the Princess, it’s only after she’s literally shoved into the side of the table and falls he starts throwing hands and is more or less DONE telling people to move NICELY.
I literally snorted when I saw Harwin. Epic moment for him, he was just waiting for the ok from his dad and just walked through the masses like a hot knife through butter.
I really get Alicent. She keeps being told how her friend will be a threat to her and her children, but keeps trusting Rhaenyra. Until she leans that Rhaenyra lied to her face while swearing on her dead mother, and Alicent believed her over her father. How can she trust Rhaenyra after that, as much as she might have wished she could? I love how both Rhaenyra and Alicent are sympathetic even when at odds here!
She didnt lie to her. Alicent interprets Rhaenyras words. Alicent asked her about Daemon not her maidenhood and Rhaenyra swore on her mother that she didnt have sex with Daemon, which is true. Alicent then interprets this as Rhaenyra swearing shes still a maiden.
@@BambiLena666 Rhaenyra says Daemon never touched her, which is an outright lie. It also doesn't matter if Rhaenyra "technically" only lies by omission, when it comes to whether Alicent feels she can trust Rhaenyra or not. "Oh, technically it wasn't a lie because it was Criston not Daemon" doesn't make Rhaenyra trustworthy for Alicent, who has to trust Rhaenyra with her life and the lives of her children. To be clear, I don't blame Rhaenyra for lying. She was only doing what many a young prince have done, and didn't want anyone to know what she was up to, which is fair, she doesn't morally owe anyone knowledge of her sex life. I'm purely speaking of how from Alicent's pov, I get why she wouldn't trust Rhaenyra after this.
Nah Alicent's reaction to this was childish, petty and straight out of mean girls imo. You expect her to confess something like that to the Queen, the mother of her future competition? of course Rhaenyra lied to you, she would've said anything and sworn on whatever she had to in order to protect her claim and her life by extension, duh. You would've probably done the same had you been in her position. Thankfully the character matured and got better cause i wasn't sure i could stand any more of this high school drama in future episodes.
@@BambiLena666 "Deamon...NEVER touched me" that was an outright lie. They kissed and he took her pants down. The lie is understandable but don't take it out on Alicent. She stuck to Rheanyra out of loyalty, she squeezes out heirs out of duty, she fulfils her role as queen, but it is Rheanyra's behaviour that got her father fired. And then she finds out Rheanyra was lying the whole time(whilst swearing on her mother) and there are no consequences for that. No humility. How can Alicent trust Rheanyra? Rheanyra has clearly shown that she is willing to sacrifice other peoples' jobs to safe face. What happens when it comes to Rheanyra saving her birthright as heir? And then to add further insult: Alicents' own husband sent for some morning after tea for his daughter! Alicent is being played for a fool by her Targaryen husband and his daughter.and she doesn't like it. This show is so good because the actions of each character is fueled by genuine and understandable emotions. But that doesn't excuse the behaviour.
@@BhBc8f8 I honestly feel like you've somewhat misread what I wrote, (if your response was indeed to me), or read certain assumptions into it. I'm in no way judging whether Alicent was owed the truth, or how she went about asking for it. My observation is solely about the fact that Rhaenyra passionately (and understandably, yes) lies to Alicent's face while swearing on her dead mother, and Alicent believes her, and is then proven wrong. What this means for Alicent is that Rhaenyra is willing to, and able to convincingly, lie to Alicent, meaning that Alicent can no longer trust Rhaenyra at her word. I also completely get Rhaenyra, and think she owes no one any information about her sex life, and should have the same sexual liberty as the men do. Because she doesn't, she feels forced to lie because she either doesn't trust Alicent completely, or is uncomfortable with Alicent knowing what happened. Either is honestly fine, BUT the consequence is that she looses Alicent's trust in her. That to me is just a tragic fact. These were two close friends, but circumstances are tearing their friendship apart.
I've been watching HOTD a second time with my 16yr old daughter. A teenager the same age as Rhaynera and Allicent is an entirely new perspective from what adults talk about when viewing. She "gets" the teen friend drama, the boy drama, the parental drama, the feelings of betrayal, obey your parent, loss of a parent and trying to find your place in all of it.
I think what ultimately triggered Criston Cole was wounded masculine pride. Criston, by being made a King's Guard with a vow of celibacy, has essentially been put into a similar role as The Maiden who must remain chaste and pure, and Rhaenyra "soiled him". He thought he could regain his sense of pride by running away with Rhaenyra, reframing his "soiling" as a tale of true love, ripe for singers. But Rhaenyra refuses, and Criston then sees the relationship Rhaenyra proposes as him being made into "a whore", as if Criston himself hasn't bedded women without marriage before becoming King's Guard, but that was okay because he didn't have a "virtue" attached to his sex life before, only the women he slept with had that. When Joffrey approached him, he basically told Criston "hey, we are in the same boat now, so lets work together". Now Criston not only feels like he's been despoiled, made "a whore", he also finds himself in the same boat as a homosexual man. Criston feels emasculated from experiencing something similar to what women experience when it comes to sex, and from associating with homosexual men. No doubt it hits particularly hard for him since the "White Cloak" is both the source of his current shame and emasculation, but also the previous source of his greatest pride, the highest anyone in his family had ever achieved. Right up until he killed Joffrey, I really felt for Criston, despite his feelings, as I interpret them, coming from nonsensical ideas of masculinity and "honour", but such is the society he lives in, so I got it. But him taking it out on Joffrey killed any affection I had for Criston, and I keep being so, so angry with him.
you explained the entire situation to perfection. Many didn't really get the scene and simply thought that joffrey was taunting or threatening crispen douchebag during their conversation. I understood where he was coming from but he went about it the wrong way and it completely destroyed any ounce of love i had for him. And the further we go into the show the worst he gets. Its just sad really🙁
@@icepastacream1112 Yeah I've seen that interpretation as well, that Joffrey was threatening him, and I really don't see it. Maybe, maybe I could see it as a "we both know each others' secrets now, so if you were to learn Laenor's secret and think to do something about that, just know that we know yours too". But it's certainly a very, very conditional threat that poses no danger to Criston so long as he doesn't reveal theirs. But Criston reacting to a threat is not what I got from that scene, and I don't think it's what they set up with his conversation with Rhaenyra and with Alicent.
Also even though he wasn’t dornish in the books, in the series he is and has a complete different view point from people from dorne and also fought them, as he grew up in the stormlands and with the seven, as in dorne they don’t look down at paramours, bastards, and are generally more open mined and also more sexually open people, which is probably one of the reasons she would think he would be okay with but no he was not happy just being her whore which is the way he saw it
@@cristianbejarano2000 I suppose if you were born Dornish, or half-Dornish, but grew up in the Marshes fighting against Dorne, you might distance yourself from Dornish values. So that could perhaps contribute to the way Criston feel.
absolutely love your take on this. I've seen comments on other videos stating that cristion Cole is just a " simp" and I always had a feeling it was way more than that. you help me with this perspective. i also seen previous videos on daemon and the way he deals with demasculinization as well, and now I find myself rewatching the show so i can see these pointed out traits myself. thanks !
Otto telling Alicent that conflict will envitably come if Rhaenyra gets the throne is only half the truth I think. Viserys made his lords swear to support Rhaenyra, and at least some of those will remain alive and stay true to that vow when Viserys die, and some of their heirs will honour their parent's vow. So regardless, there will be conflict, unless Visery very, very explicitly makes it clear that Rhaenyra is no longer heir. Even then, there might be at least dissatisfaction from some lords at being made to swear an oath then break it.
I think the writers made a good choice. It fits with the myth of the Fisher King who suffers from an unhealable wound, along with the kingdom, until the Holy Grail can be restored to the land. George loves that stuff.
Otto caused the entire rift that will rock the entirety of Westeros. He told Allicent what he wanted her to hear. Rhaenyra never showed any signs that she would harm Allicent nor her children so far. On the other hand, Allicent is placed in a horrible position by Otto from sending her to pretty much seduce the King for his own good not the good of the realm. She is not experienced enough to know her father is manipulating her. We have to see how both women handle their current situations. As usual I loved your reactions and commentary.
@upsidedownsquare this! Also even if Rhaenrya spared alicent's sons you damn well known Daemon and even Corlys who is as ambitious as Otto wouldn't hesitate to get rid of them once the realm and the other lords starts raising questions..otto is an asshat but I lowkey understand and sympathize with team green
@@dabhyun1133 Otto is right by his design. The only reason Alicent's kids may be in danger is because he put them in danger. He knew the risks of his daughter marrying the King but he encouraged it anyway meaning he had always planned to get rid of Rhaenyra since day one. Incredible player but an awful human.
The ending montage was my favorite scene up to this point. Give me the red hue of the weirdwood tree glowing in twilight, give me the dim lights, give me the gloomy ambience of a GoT wedding with an equally gloomy Ramin Djawadi soundtrack & hook it to my veins! That pause when Criston looks up & you hear the final note of that haunting tune? So well done! The uncharacteristically heartfelt exchange between Otto & Alicent was the most significant moment so far. It's the Tywin Jaime "we can establish a dynasty that last a thousand years" scene. We Light the Way is the motto of House Hightower. This is the episode the Greens come into their own. Out of this cursed wedding loyalties are won & lost forever. Rhaenyra and Laenor were exchanging wedding vows, but it was Alicent and Criston who were getting “married”.
Daemon killed his wife who is basically a Ned Stark in this show…. Dude makes it really hard to like him lolll although he is 100% a badass character. And for him he loves his family, but his ambition is greater. Daemon really knows how to manipulate though, even if he loves rhaenyra, it’s to a point where he can also use her.
But what Otto is saying, is also planting the seeds in Alicents mind to square off against Rhaneyra to protect her children. If you think about this show and what the adults do against their children to further their own grasp at power. It really messes with their children.
Otto was right about one thing. The realm as we have seen before does not love the women on the throne. The realm is bigger and more dangerous than Rhaenyra or Viserys’ promises or orders. I think Viserys had made a big mistake by naming Rhaenyra heir without solidifying what happens if he gets a firstborn
The hint for you is that in the upcoming episode 6 there will be a lot of events as well as a lot of characters and with many new names. In episode 6 will be the events of 10 years after Rhaenyra's wedding. You'll see two new actors playing Rhaenyra and Alicent with their children and more dragon mysteries, stay tuned!
Rhaenyra and Daemon love each other, it's a toxic love and in their own way. Daemon's ambition has been to bring the House of the Dragon to its glory and he could fulfill his goal by marrying his niece and honestly, if Rhaenyra accepted it, her succession to the throne wouldn’t be so questionable by people, but I really think that he wants Daemon and he wants Rhaenyra, good luck processing the next few episodes because they’re hot in all the ways
Not sure if you caught it but in the previous episode Viserys was shown to have had two fingers amputated. That's why Rhaenys clasps his gloved hand and then immediately asks if he's OK. And now his whole arm is rotting, so the amputation didn't work to stop the disease. Rhaenyra was teasing Daemon. She knows that he's not going to act on it. I see this as partially a jab at him for being impotent (as Lady Rhea also mentions; and why he could not sleep with her previously.) That's not to say she doesn't have some affection for him but I didn't take her words as being actually what she wanted.
I was so sympathetic to Criston until the end of this episode, and now I hate him with an intense passion. I cried (again) for Laenor's grief watching this reaction. I can't imagine seeing the face of your loved one, the face you loved, destroyed like that, having that image haunt you forever 😭💔 Fuck you Criston, I wish Alicent hadn't stopped you.
Joffrey's proposal, that they both swear an oath, that's what killed him. Up until then, Ser Criston would've turned inward and left the Guard in due time. But the man putting him on the spot, demanding he make the commitment to an oath on it, that's what made Criston snap.
Correction: Ser Criston is the sworn protector for Rhaenyra. He's part of the Kingsguard so he's assigned to her vs. Everyone else just protecting the Hand and King
In the book Fire&Blood Daemon doesn't kill his wife, he is still in the Stepstones and she is crushed to death by her horse. It still makes no sense to me that Criston wasn't punished after what he did even though he had Alicent watching his back, he assaulted a Velaryon, future king consort and an innocent man close to them at the royal wedding, seems silly to me. To clarify, Viserys is guaranteed to suffer from a disease called leprosy that consumes his entire body. The next episode is a time jump of 10 years specifically, it will be a bit weird at first but you will get used to it because Emma and Olivia who are adult Rhaenyra and Alicent are absolutely amazing and superior
Allicents character is so complex, I hated her at first but her intelligence grew on me. She trusted rhaenyra even when her father goes against it, until we see Rhaenyra swear on her mother who had passed. This alone shows Rhaenyra is not as good of a person as we think. This entire show is about people fighting for their own rights and no one is a hero in this story. The show did very well with raising the tension with the music! It’s a constant beat that seems like it’s rising in pace, raising anxiety of viewers
The thing is Alicent IS correct; she's done everything right and continually gets punished for it. . . But Rhaenyra and Daemon have balls and get shit done. Otto and Alicent are left brain destroyed by their paranoia and jealousy at how right-brain Rhaenyra and Daemon keep falling upward with a smile
Once she walked in late, distrupting the king mid-speech...we knew. But when she said step-daughter...it was over. And, erm, is Tyrion moving now and again? He needs more wine! 🤣
Yeah, Criston asking for death is a damn sight better that what happened to Lucamore Strong, the last member of the Kingsguard to betray his oath of chastity. He took 3 wives and fathered 17 children; for which, he was gelded (full castration, pillar and stones) and sent to live out the remainder of his life at The Wall. He was known thereafter as Lucamore the Lusty.
I don’t believe Otto’s claim about Rhaenyra. He doesn’t accept her so he thinks she will do the worst possible thing with nothing but his own twisted viewpoint as guidance.
Well, no. It's quite natural for threats to the throne to be eliminated; especially strong ones like a son in a realm expecting a male heir. He speaks the truth in that last bit; "You will have to beg for Rhaenyra for mercy". Most people would want to avoid that happening at all.
@@stephenjenkins7971 Nah. As we see later on with a certain character Rhaenyra makes another choice for someone she cares about so she shows how she can find another way. Otto is just an ugly hearted person who believes Rhaenyra is as ugly as him. That’s what he would do in her position.
@@ceezyjeffezy2213 Except that that person wasn't a threat to her power, there's no way that she can do that with all of Alicent's children whom most prolly wouldn't even want to "leave", and it was done via murdering an innocent person to begin with. Otto is an ugly hearted person; but he's also 100% right and you don't want to admit it. SPOILER: Stop treating Rhaenyra as a good person; she literally called for Aemond to be tortured after he was maimed for calling her sons bastards.
@@stephenjenkins7971 Alicent is /was her friend. There’s was still love between them. Restraint on both sides. There’s nothing supporting Otto’s position except Otto’s ugliness.
@@ceezyjeffezy2213 That literally doesn't matter; no amount of love or friendship trumps political needs and wants; since being overthrown literally means the death of yourself and your immediate family members. That's why he said "Rhaenyra will have no choice". There are few records in history where brothers and sisters did not overthrow one another if they had the option; and the few times they trusted in that familial bond? They were often murdered by a less trusting sibling anyway. Grow up. Otto is 100% right if you ever bothered to open a textbook on feudal history.
Just wanted to say I really appreciate the puke warning! It could be seen as a small thing, but I’m on some medication that’s making me very nauseous, and it’s nice to be able to avoid vomiting on screen. Love your reactions!
Rhea Royce gets more attention in the show, than she does in the book... I know, shocked me too. Turns out, in the books, she dies of a hunting accident while Daemon is fighting in the Stepstones.
Actually those dragons flying in wete Meleyes and Seasmoke. Thaenys and Laenors dragon. Laena doesn't have one until next ep. Guessing her egg as a baby never hatched.
18:45 - so a common born is planning to restore his honor by marring the future ruler of the realm? And he feels it's appropriate? Criston has an unreasonably high value of his honor.
Any Westerosi wedding without atleast one death is considered a dull affair...also that subtle nod to book readers of the rat and blood at the end is 💋chef's kiss
By thinking Criston is Rhaenyra's paramour, as in side piece, Joffrey thought Criston was "just like them", as in more open minded to these sort of sexual liberties. He didn't know Criston walked away the moment he realized Rhaenyra had no intention to marry him. Criston was literally asking for a death sentence for his trangression. He's too honorable. He's like a psychotic Ned Stark. Therefore Criston took Joffrey's politicking, telling him "we know about your little secret"...as a direct threat to his honor and his white cloak. If he was willing to die himself, what is he gonna do to someone else? The key here is to remember that Cole is a knight from the middle ages. His conception of things like morals and being honorable are not like ours. There is no "one night stand" in his dictionary.
Maybe you didn't pick up on this yet but this was otto's plan from the beginning in episode 1 he tries to convince the king to name rhaenyra the heir over daemon not because he likes rhaenyra but because he knows ounce he puts his daughter alicent in front of the king and they have sons it would be easy to strong arm her claim and usurp her he thought it was gonna be easy to get viserys to name aegon the heir over rhaenyra but when he saw that wasn't happening he start telling alicent to convince viserys to replace rhaenyra then he start poisoning her mind with that rhaenyra would kill your kids bs as a manipulation tool to turn her against rhaenyra. In the beginning of episode 1 the the narrator says they had 10 dragons during the old kings reign and that the strongest powers in the realm couldn't compete with them and that the only thing that could tear the house of the dragon apart was its self and thats so true otto saying rhaenyra would kill alicent's kids is a giant assumption one he's only making because that's what he would do in her situation kill somebody's kids but what if those kids was raised to love their sister instead of hate her what if they stood with her and said my sister is queen and anybody who opposes that is asking for war against the kingdom and what could anybody in the world do against 10 plus dragons they would have no choice but to accept rhaenyra as queen but otto doesn't mention that because it doesn't fit his narrative which is to sow division within the most powerful house in the realm and put his blood on the iron throne and daemon knew this from the beginning that's why otto always tries to keep him and viserys divided
This is the one situation where a change from the books is really problematic in my opinion. In Fire and Blood, the book the series is based on, Criston killed Joffrey while they were competing in a tournament that was being held for the wedding. In a situation like that deaths can plausibly occur. Although it was described as Criston being over aggressive and fighting much more brutally than games like that called for. Still, that is a totally different situation from actually beating someone to death at a feast being held prior to the wedding. In my opinion, it was unrealistic that Criston wasn’t taken into custody on the spot.
What kind of father would even think of putting his daughter in the position that Otto has put Alicent - bearing children who will be in danger of being killed after their father dies by either their sister or her supporters? Otto was too smart not to have anticipated killing this, before he even sent Alicent to Viserys to "comfort" the widowed king; and he apparently also visualized killing Viserys' beloved daughter and any children of hers to keep Alicent's children alive. Such was the height of Otto's ambition, that to have a grandson on the Iron Throne, he'd resort to murder of a princess he'd watched grow up, and her children of any age, and potential civil war. It's understandable, but disgusting.
I don't really take a side on this one; Alicent is Left Brain, Rhaenyra is Right Brain. They both need each other and destroy themselves when broken apart
Remembering that the book fire and blood is narrated by dubious narrators The book is told by rumors and gossip so it is not reliable, in the book it says that Daemon never likes his wife he hates her the daemon was forced to marry his wife she not important in the story In the book there is nothing about her just that she is married to Daemon and that after a while the news comes from her that she died and that she died falling off a horse is all that is said about daemon's wife in the Book Like I said, Daemon's wife is not important in the story, nobody cares about her and only see the scenes when she talks about Daemon's wife is when Rhaenys says Daemon's wife died, nobody cared about the news she said that's because she is not important, in the books it is not known if it was the daemon that killed his wife because when she dies the daemon is in a war so it is not known if it was him, in the series they put that it was the daemon that I kill his wife the daemon is not killing his wife because she had already lost her body movement so much so that he was leaving but the girl was very stupid opened her mouth so he killed her the writers is Ryan they said they said daemon no and the kill his wife if she doesn't open her mouth, more like she opened her mouth so he kill her Being a Christian if you soiled your white mantle it was because you wanted to because Rhaenyra didn't stick a knife in your neck forcing you to do what you did, do you really think that Rhaenyra And drop everything just to be with him my god this girl she is a princess she is heir to the throne she has her customs she is not one to drop everything to have a simple life , Rhaenyra is not in love with Christian she just wants to have fun she just wants sex nothing else Christian you are very emotional you are very deluded you and dumb rhaenyra would never give up everything for you christian you and only a knight have nothing to offer her
I think it was more like she was tempting Daemon in like I know you won’t do it kind of way like in a I dare you too way at least that’s how I read the scene

I've seen comments on other videos stating that cristion Cole is just a " simp" and I always had a feeling it was way more than that. you help me with this perspective. i also seen previous videos on daemon and the way he deals with demasculinization as well, and now I find myself rewatching the show so i can see these pointed out traits myself. thanks !
23:12 - It's Laenor and his mother*. Laenor rides Seasmoke, the silver dragon; and Rhaenys rides Meleys, the Red Queen.
Paddy Concidine said in an interview that Viserys has a form of Leprosy. Hence his wounds not healing and the loss of fingers...
I think the writers made a good choice. It fits with the myth of the Fisher King who suffers from an unhealable wound, along with the kingdom, until the Holy Grail can be restored to the land. George loves that stuff.
U r the 1st Reactor to recognize Daemon's Wife by just her Name!!
That's Meleys - the Red Queen.
The Fastest Dragon in Westeros.
Also Viserys and Daemon's Mother's Dragon before Rhaenys.
World’s worst job: Wedding Planner in Westeros.
@upsidedownsquare You’re absolutely correct but he doesn’t care about the realm he cares about power.
Thanks for this unbiased review n for seeing both sides of everybody point of view
Harwin strong who carried rynera out of the crowed is also the man who smiled at her when she returned to the camp after sobbing the boar
House Velaryon entering the throne room, giving us high fashion and serving us opulence. House Velaryon is so Versace/Gaultier
everyone entering to their house themes was pretty cool lol...the Valeryon theme and Hightower theme
When Criston told Alicent I was like "shut the f up dude, she's talking about Daemon".
That Alicent entry to the wedding, holy fucking shit, one of my fave scenes in the season.
Finally someone likes/understands Alicent as mush as I do. Honestly I like just about every character though. Lol.
One thing that's never explained is why Ser Cristen wasn't punished for killing an anointed knight and striking the heir to Driftmark.
The wedding was meant to be after 7 days. But after Joffrey’s death, viserys said fu(k it and got them married on the same night. No more 7 days
I can't imagine seeing the face of your loved one, the face you loved, destroyed like that, having that image haunt you forever 😭💔
Fuck you Criston, I wish Alicent hadn't stopped you.
Joffrey's proposal, that they both swear an oath, that's what killed him.
Up until then, Ser Criston would've turned inward and left the Guard in due time. But the man putting him on the spot, demanding he make the commitment to an oath on it, that's what made Criston snap.
The other one is Seasmoke, Leanor's Dragon
Well, you finally see how unhinged Ser Criston is. Doesn’t change.
Correction: Ser Criston is the sworn protector for Rhaenyra. He's part of the Kingsguard so he's assigned to her vs. Everyone else just protecting the Hand and King
I think you will like the new set of actors who play Alicent and Rhaenyra just as much as the first set. The acting on this show is phenomenal. 👏
Not in my case. Milly was irreplaceable
I love how enthusiastic you get when the dragons appear on screen. A real dragon hooligan haha. Keep up the good work! ❤ 🐉
Wow u are a truly genuine reactor! The best.
I hope your friends and inner circle have prepared you for the time jump and casting changes. Have no worries, the new actors are equally phenomenal.
They've always had a thing for each other. Being with Daemon would actually strengthen her claim.
Team Green 💚💚, i love your react
The moment I saw Alicent appear with her green dress, I was Team Alicent. lol
SPOILER:
Stop treating Rhaenyra as a good person; she literally called for Aemond to be tortured after he was maimed for calling her sons bastards.
@@stephenjenkins7971 Alicent is
/was her friend.
Grow up. Otto is 100% right if you ever bothered to open a textbook on feudal history.
the high pitch every time you say "f*ck” is hilarious 😂😂😂
Just wanted to say I really appreciate the puke warning! It could be seen as a small thing, but I’m on some medication that’s making me very nauseous, and it’s nice to be able to avoid vomiting on screen. Love your reactions!
Nice to see you finally experience “The Green Wedding.”
Imo the older actors do a far far better job especially older Rhaenyra
I really like adult Alicent
Alicent did nothing wrong change my mind
Rhea Royce gets more attention in the show, than she does in the book... I know, shocked me too. Turns out, in the books, she dies of a hunting accident while Daemon is fighting in the Stepstones.
Ended the episode with a bang indeed 😆😆
Calypso "what would your lover's name be?"
Me: you would never guess in a 178 years lol
I really like Alicent. She kind of reminds me of Sansa in a way.
Actually those dragons flying in wete Meleyes and Seasmoke. Thaenys and Laenors dragon. Laena doesn't have one until next ep. Guessing her egg as a baby never hatched.
As a rule, all Joffreys should avoid going to a royal wedding.
18:45 - so a common born is planning to restore his honor by marring the future ruler of the realm? And he feels it's appropriate? Criston has an unreasonably high value of his honor.
"Where are my dragons?"
Dragons : sorry, the budget limits our screen time.
Any Westerosi wedding without atleast one death is considered a dull affair...also that subtle nod to book readers of the rat and blood at the end is 💋chef's kiss
Glad your lovin' it!
Viserys has leprosy. Its not a spoiler but yeah, that's his affliction
17:20 - you got to give it to Rhaenyra, she didn't laugh in his face. The Heir to the throne and son of a steward?
Temper, Temper! What a great episode, the best so far.
A slight correction: The red dragon belongs to Rhaenys
My puppy went mad when she heard you screaming😅
Two tortured souls, united by fate, in a moonlit night, and together they will make a king
All of this!
This was the Green Wedding sweet Summer Child. 😁
Death is as lighter than a feather, duty is heavier than a mountain.
Everybody stand up the queen arrived but one man not, DEAMON TARGARYEN ❤️
If he thinks the vale's sheep is prettier...:/

Welcome to The Green Wedding that's not a name from the books it's just something that the fans came up with
Remembering that the book fire and blood is narrated by dubious narrators The book is told by rumors and gossip so it is not reliable, in the book it says that Daemon never likes his wife he hates her the daemon was forced to marry his wife she not important in the story In the book there is nothing about her just that she is married to Daemon and that after a while the news comes from her that she died and that she died falling off a horse is all that is said about daemon's wife in the Book
Like I said, Daemon's wife is not important in the story, nobody cares about her and only see the scenes when she talks about Daemon's wife is when Rhaenys says Daemon's wife died, nobody cared about the news she said that's because she is not important, in the books it is not known if it was the daemon that killed his wife because when she dies the daemon is in a war so it is not known if it was him, in the series they put that it was the daemon that I kill his wife the daemon is not killing his wife because she had already lost her body movement so much so that he was leaving but the girl was very stupid opened her mouth so he killed her the writers is Ryan they said they said daemon no and the kill his wife if she doesn't open her mouth, more like she opened her mouth so he kill her
Being a Christian if you soiled your white mantle it was because you wanted to because Rhaenyra didn't stick a knife in your neck forcing you to do what you did, do you really think that Rhaenyra And drop everything just to be with him my god this girl she is a princess she is heir to the throne she has her customs she is not one to drop everything to have a simple life , Rhaenyra is not in love with Christian she just wants to have fun she just wants sex nothing else Christian you are very emotional you are very deluded you and dumb rhaenyra would never give up everything for you christian you and only a knight have nothing to offer her
I hope they fix the audio in the next season. The ambience and background noise was louder than the actor's voices sadly.
You called. It just a moment i start watching it you called it
Daemon is bullshitting that elder Royce at the party. He has no claim to his wife's castle. It stays in their family.
I think it was more like she was tempting Daemon in like I know you won’t do it kind of way like in a I dare you too way at least that’s how I read the scene
This isn't revealed in the show or in the book but Viserys is dying of leprosy
Were I in Westeros and invited to anything to do with a wedding, I'd simply have to decline...
Especially if your name is Joffrey
I think you should watch the rest of Season 4 of Stranger Things after you finish House Of The Dragon
