Yeah I agree with this statement wholeheartedly. She does have a heart but it was tainted but her father and mother and finished off by Kureno staying. Nothing says everyone loves you and you deserve that love more than the threaten of feeling so abandoned and lonely and people staying around to quell your short term please. Akito was well and truly one of the boldest and well developed characters in my opinion. She showed what darkness and hunger for love can do to a person and it's a real reflection of what does happen in society. She probably my favourite from the show.
@@MP24685 Yeah, you're very right in your words, her character is so well developed because we understand everything about her actions and why she does what she does, she even has some redeeming moments like when she defends Hatori from Ren, who really is the most cruel character in Fruits Basket because she caused Akito's grave fear of abandonment that led her to be this way. She also listens to the elder zodiac members who are closer to her and doesn't restrict the Sohmas' movements. Aside from that, her redemption could've been written better, but I'm truly glad that she was redeemed because, like Momiji said, she deserves to find her own happiness too.
