This is something I deal with on a regular basis, having to put on a "mask" to hide emotions so you don't look weak or vulnerable. If I was in the same situation as Aphmau tho, I'd tell Zane to f off and to straight up not be my friend anymore if he isn't gonna consider what I could be going though. That's how I would do it, but hey. To each their own.

I love this video. It’s ok to be emotional and have feelings. It’s not okay to bottle up our feelings. When we do though we end up exploding or expressing our feelings with anger, sadness and etc. towards each other which is not good at all. I can relate because I have social anxiety, depression and my mental illness as well too. I have gone through some hard times and trials in life that has effected my mental health also my physical health. It’s okay to cry and express your emotions. Sometimes when I am feeling stressed, depressed, anxious or when I’m having a bad day I would cry and talk to my mom about my feelings. It’s okay to cry and show pain or physical pain that you’re feeling inside of you. A just know that you’re safe and it’s okay talk about your feelings with someone you trust or someone close to you. My mom and aunt encourage me to talk about my feelings even though I don’t want too. My mom would give me a hug and say everything is going to alright sweetheart.

This episode came out 10 months ago, but i can relate to this. People always rell me how happy and sweet I am, but they never bother to ask how im doing emotionally. I have not been diagnosed with depression, but I feel depressed. I feel like no one notices me and how i feel and i cry almost three times a week.

I sadly can relate to this in real life. I wasn't fine for a very long time but I just smiled and moved on with my life, thankfully my friends were there and realized that I was acting off. I'm a lot better now but I am still experiencing it to this day, but my friends are always there for me! So I thank all of my friends!

We're all here for you Aph. You can tell us anything
its always good to tell people how you feel. If people don't understand why you feel the way you do then its best to just move on from them instead of trying to explain a 2nd time. There are some people who just can't understand other's feelings because of mental health and that's okay. Just tell them how your feeling at the moment and that you need some time to yourself. They might feel its their fault, if its not then you can assure them so and take the time you need to feel better. If it is them, you can tell them that it is them and be honest and then take the time you need to feel better. How you feel can affect not just you but the people you surround yourself with too. As someone who's friends left me because they refused to tell me I was the problem, I can 100% tell you that knowing they were upset but not knowing if it was because of me really messed me up emotionally. In the end, I wasn't 100% the problem, it was a problem split both ways. So its always good to be honest with people you surround yourself with, especially about your feelings.

What if the person you have to move on from is your mom- im trying to be lighthearted with everything but literally when i try to explain how im feeling my mom uses antidepressants as a threat to get me to stop and so i try to hide it but if i am not smiling my mom gets mad and my biggest problem is that when someone gets mad at me i feel worthless and like a burden even if i wasnt fully in the wrong so my mom always thinks either i am being dramatic or pouting or throwing a pity party and that is something you dont wanna hear and my stepdad just twists it to be about how hard HIS life is and how much worse HE has it and he says he is trying to show me that he understands but i feel like my problems are being undermined and disregarded when he does it but anyways sorry for this dramatic rant-

Im honestly glad she posted this video as someone who can relate to this but she's also spreading awareness about depression since most people don't take depression seriously but that comes to show you that the people that show a smile are the main ones who shed the most tears
