Is that example you brought up about Alex Terrible really all that offensive? the tattoo is one thing and should be held accountable for it, but that rules of being a man he posted, that's not really offensive.
He's def self-aware. He jokes around a lot. Uses a lot of irony and sarcasm. His bad english makes it seem more genuine, which causes a lot of people to miss his humor
@dynamicdingus7003 Nah. Even in his serious video when he was addressing the nazi stuff, he even said that he has no problem with gay people but wants to instill traditions in his kids. Meaning, he doesn't want them to be gay. Also, a black sun tattoo isn't some self aware joke.
If Maynard was there, you’d have to make sure no Tool superfans are there. He’s probably hilariously fun and sarcastic in real life until a fan asks about the AEnima cd image for the 4,000,000 time.
Definitely right decision on Sammy Hagar and David Lee Roth. Don't know if they fit the genre but Demi Demitro of The Velveteers or Arrow de Wilde of Starcrawler might be choices for next frontperson list.
Thank you so much for addressing the elephant in the room with Alex Terrible. It is absolutely ridiculous that metal publications ignore his reactionary bullshit and Nazi connections. For all the hate you get from the left, you're consistent in calling out the bullshit
Maynard is a great front man in his other bands. The one tour of tool that I saw, he was invisible and stayed in the shadows the entire show. I'm sure there were other tours where he was out front.
I genuinely laughed out loud and had to rewind when Finn was talking about the sexy aunt, and going into detail, and the camera is just slowly panning in on him the whole time he casually sorts through his mental stuff with us lmfao
Good point. I'm not a fan of pete so i don't think of him as q front person. Patrick doesn't seem to have much personality but is a good singer in my opinion.
Summer Nights is also probably my fave VH song. I watched some live videos of them with Sammy and it sounded perfect. Blew my mind that a band could sound that good
I think you've settled the whole Van Halen controversy in a succinct and dignified manner .. You have a BBQ, and ask Sammy to be the guest chef, with DLR and Van Halen rockin the party music
@04:40 absolutely! and i feel a hagar invite would net you a 35% chance of guy fieri showing up which would turn that bbq into an absolute off the rails grillstravaganza
David Lee Roth was an incredible vocalist; I have no idea why people say otherwise just cause of a handful of dodgey live performances. Also, Henry Rollins’ story about him has me convinced that he would be the coolest barbecue guest ever.
I actually think that DLR would be a fantastic BBQ guest!! From what I gather from interviews that I have watched, yes, he seems super out there, but also very self-aware. He knows that people want a show, so he gives it to them. Not above creating some fake drama just to entertain the folks. He is probably still a mouthful, that I won't deny. But I think next to all the crazy is also a very down to earth side to him, e.g. when he worked as an ambulance driver for some years. Just getting stuck in on the frontlines with the normal people, I think that's pretty damn cool of him. Can't imagine many rock stars of his calibre doing sth like this. He actually seems like a fun-loving and overall pretty good natured dude to me. Come to think of it, he reminds me a bit of a friend of mine who is the most genius musician I have met so far, and is also a loudmouth and just overall weird guy. Wouldn't want to live with him or work closely with him every day, but BBQ guest is just the right dose of him, so to say. Bc one thing is for sure: It is NEVER boring when he's around! Same with DLR
I think Alex T deserves the benefit of the doubt regarding the tattoo and whatnot. As a Jew I don't really consider someone to be a N**i unless they are openly/proudly racist and anti-Semitic (like Kanye on AJ's show). The fact that he got his tattoo covered and also spoke out against the russian invasion of Ukraine gives him some good boy points. As far as the edgy "a man does this..." stuff let's remember he's a russian metalhead who moved to florida so how woke can we really expect him to be? Otherwise he seems like a pretty nice dude and I haven't heard anyone say they had a bad interaction with him.
I don't reckon he's a nazi nowadays, but definitely seems like he was was somewhere in that when he was younger, just hoping he doesn't end up going down the far right route
Years ago everyone probably thought that David Lee Roth was a chad. Turns out nobody likes a 60+ year old that still lives in the 80s. We want chill uncle Hagar with the beach house, grill and rock and roll jam room. Hagar is the ultimate boomer chad
I will say Alex Terrible absolutely scares me I saw a post of his where he was legit wrestling a bear in the snow. Granted that the bear was domesticated but still. All that and his looks and the sounds he makes just scary

Awesome to see Anthony Green get a mention on your Channel! I've seen him live almost 20 times between Circa Survive, Saosin, and his solo stuff. Met him 3 or 4 times always cool as hell!
Finn: "You may think Anthony Green has a substances abuse problem, but let me tell you about the time he and I got wasted on a Thursday morning!"
I don't know how much of a case you made with that anecdote Finn!😂😂😂
This was like 20 years ago!
This might be my favorite bbq list yet. Not necessarily because I’m the biggest fan of everyone coming musically, but I think you nailed it with the energy they’d bring
Solid additions there Finn! I’m sure all invited will have a neat time. GG ended up coming to crash at mine after the snub and now there’s shit everywhere….
Only likes Hagar as Finn cannot drive 55 either, also finn mentioning the age of 55 to lol
Finn's tier lists are S tier.
brody! the distillers is one of those bands im never forgetting, i still remember being 15 and trying to mimic her vocals in like 2010 that woman was everything i wanted to be when i grew up hahah
Is that example you brought up about Alex Terrible really all that offensive? the tattoo is one thing and should be held accountable for it, but that rules of being a man he posted, that's not really offensive.
Just cringe
If you have seen The Dirt, that movies shows you how inviting David Lee Roth to the BBQ would go.
And Patrick has been out here killing it in the kids movie and tv show theme song side of things now. Some great bangers there too!
🎶WE COULD BE IMMORTALS!🎶
I like alex terrible, i think part of his muscle head bro attitude might be kind of a made up character maybe? Idk
Being woke is equally as cringe as being a Red Piller
true
Lmao
If Maynard was there, you’d have to make sure no Tool superfans are there. He’s probably hilariously fun and sarcastic in real life until a fan asks about the AEnima cd image for the 4,000,000 time.
Definitely right decision on Sammy Hagar and David Lee Roth. Don't know if they fit the genre but Demi Demitro of The Velveteers or Arrow de Wilde of Starcrawler might be choices for next frontperson list.
Summer Nights is absolutely the best Van Hagar tune. You win a banana sticker for that one, Finn. Scratch and sniff, too.
😂
Alex Terrible is just the Phil Anselmo of this generation
manly men and vocal demigods? i agree
The BBQ barometer is gold, love it 😂
I’ve been binging your videos so much I didn’t realize this was a new one until I saw the view counter 😂
I love the criteria you're using to judge the frontmen😂. I'd invite Winston McCall to Greek orthodox Easter lamb roast next year. That's my criteria
Heard offstage GG was extra chilled. Him and his bro allegedly got baked and watched a Golden Girls marathon at a party.
I would happily put my aunt Kim up for the coolest aunt challenge. She rocks ya'll!
12:32 oof Finn delete that
I'm always confused that there's a difference between a singer and a frontperson.
You have a BBQ, and ask Sammy to be the guest chef, with DLR and Van Halen rockin the party music
sure do enjoy these bbq tier list, wont be long we will get guitarist, bassist, and drummer tier list for the bbq.
You are a funny guy, Finn. I can cook pretty well, and you're funny so you are definitely invited to my barbeque.
Love The Distillers but Brody would totally start some drama between 2 guys at the bbq 💯. Later she would be drunk and do meth in the bathroom😂
Finn we need a Kim Dracula reaction
We do not
I think Alex T deserves the benefit of the doubt regarding the tattoo and whatnot.
I don't reckon he's a nazi nowadays, but definitely seems like he was was somewhere in that when he was younger, just hoping he doesn't end up going down the far right route
that being said, he does seem to be an overall positive person, and seems genuine in what he says
Years ago everyone probably thought that David Lee Roth was a chad. Turns out nobody likes a 60+ year old that still lives in the 80s. We want chill uncle Hagar with the beach house, grill and rock and roll jam room. Hagar is the ultimate boomer chad
, r/NuMetalElite. Finns one stop for all things Nu Metal!
the real man is going to struggle to eat food with somebody else's hands
The worst frontman, in my opinion, is Ska music.
I will say Alex Terrible absolutely scares me I saw a post of his where he was legit wrestling a bear in the snow. Granted that the bear was domesticated but still. All that and his looks and the sounds he makes just scary
I cant believe you just made me listen to that weird hagar butt rock song and tell me its great, while talking about how much TOOL sucks in the same vodeo lol. Blasphemy dear sirr
nobody hates their own fans more than Maynard and I dont blame him. I am also saying this as a Tool respecter
Omg I havent heard someone talk about Brodie in so long. I remember seeing her live on the Late Show with the band spiderette and 7th grade me had a crush right away hahah
I heard Anthony Green live and it was INCREDIBLE
Wow...this bbq sounds awful! I'm glad that I won't be invited.
Another awesome video.
Patrick leaves early appointment next day ,Sammy is awesome but passes out early, it's only 8pm Maynard says I got more wine in the car, anthony g says awesome let's get a bag so you call up David Lee and Brody to come over.
Pete was the frontman before the hiatus, but Patrick took frontman duties after they came back
I don't know much about Alex Terrible, but can we stop throwing around the word "transphobia" any time someone criticizes trans ideology? It's intellectually dishonest, and Finn is smart enough to understand that.
Da fuq is "trans ideology"?
The guy brings Blaire White to his podcast and still act like that.
