You can try to show her a video explaining the furry fandom, or come up with your own explanation about how the furries are really just cosplayers but for ocs or more animal-like/anthro characters like the ones seen in zootopia or Disney movies and that there's a lot of misinformation about the furry fandom to see if she will understand what it actually is, or you could just avoid the topic or come up with some other solution if you're looking for one😅
Idk how old you are, but you don't need to fully explain it to her. Would you completely walk her through picking up another hobby like drawing? Probably not. You'd just show her some stuff once in a while. Treat it like any other hobby and don't feel required to explain it to people. I would say it's just more time consuming than actually difficult, especially with all the tutorials out there telling you pretty much exactly what to do.

Nobody watches outros, the video retention drops off at the end of a video like a cliff. It's better to just not have them or the retention might hurt the performance of a video. I used to have a proper outro on my other channel but stopped doing it because of the retention thing.
I wasn't able to find that exact brand of clear coat you put on the eyes - presumably, "crystal clear acrylic coating spray" from a different brand is the same thing, right? And if it is, then is it even necessary if the type of paint I bought is acrylic? Would putting more acrylic on top of acrylic do anything?
The clear coat basically just stops the acrylic paint from washing off, I don't think the spray is made from acrylic, it's just made for acrylic. That's why it's called acrylic coating spray. One time a drop of water dripped on my acrylic paint which had been dry for weeks and i could see it washed off a little. I haven't actually tested the clear coat yet but it should work and I presume it's pretty important if you want to wash the suit head and such or just accidental water damage from rain or spilling or something like that. That said, I'm not an expert lol so maybe try looking into it some more.
I also just tried to speed-run my fursuit head, except it was my first! Within 72 hours, I was able to get through taping, patterning, tracing, cutting, shaving... but finally ran out of time maybe 1/4 through sewing. It'll easily be ready for MFF, but wasn't able to have it for Halloween. (Though it turns out Halloween is dead in this town so it was a pointless effort anyways?)

i know this is too late for you to do it now, but if you ever buy future bases please make sure to sand the base/score the surface so hot glue can stick! i had my base for 3 years and could never understand why the glue wouldnt stick. especially with expanding foam bases!
i ALSO reccomend using exacto knives for cutting the back of fur! it takes a minute to get used to but its less cramping on your hands and protects the backing of the fur so you dont have to do tiny snips along the back!

However, you can find a bunch of other ones on Etsy too.
Watching the glue dry is a pain in the ass for any one so here is a tip that you can use or any one who reads this. Compressed air in the can when hold upside down and sprayed the air is instantly cold so when using hot Glue. This can help the hot glue Dry quicker as long you aim at the base. I don't know why this method is not wide Spread. I do this with most of my cosplay. I hope this help.

Completing a head in 11 hours is absolutely wild. Earlier on in the year I finished one from start to finish in 5 days (trying to get it done before a con lol) and even that was nearly impossible. So absolute props to you for taking on this challenge and doing such a good job at it!

With acrylic paint it should be possible to draw over the wrong colored eye. I didn't tryed it on mesh yet but on paper it works fine.
He probably didn't want to redo it as it would take more time in the speedrun, but true.
