this is the BEST channel so far. The caie's are super close, and I personally love chemistry but because of the stress I've completely forgotten everything in chemistry and i was worried about getting good grades. @@Sikemecr7 well yes and no it depends on the type of question. The marking scheme is merely a guide for the teachers and students to understand the core aspects that the question requires you to answer, using certain scientific terminologies. However, blindly following the MS might not be a good idea cause it only tells you the points you need to include in your answer, and it fails in cases where you have to convey your answer to the examiner.
It’s not a hard and fast rule you just have to be rational about the prediction by checking the trend between consecutive elements. i’m just using 1.5 as my guide and from 4.8 to 6.3 the difference was of 1.5 (6.3-4.8) so i further added whatever i thought was reasonable. the range in the MS is like from 6.8-9.8 or something. anything which falls in between is the correct answer. Hope that answers your question :) ps: it’s simple math
That made so much more sense! but if I may ask a question, in the first Question for c.) why couldn't we have used Mg(NO3)2?
