I was actually going to try to do a little cleaning at the end of this video, but ran into some time constraints. I'll be doing another shell cleaning video at some point in the near future and will for sure feature the Vase! Thanks for watching!
What a spectacular video, shell friend! Those are the most incredible Caribbean Crowns I've seen anyone find, and that Caribbean Vase is just in its own league. It's always cool to see stuff that was caught offshore, after all the things we find washed up on the beach is merely a minuscule fraction not necessarily representative of what is actually out there in the open ocean. Thank you so much for sharing your incredible Jamaica trip!
Hi shell friend! Yeah, I've been to a few other fishing lobster harbors looking for shells(mostly in Maine), but this was the first time I had ever seen the Caribbean version, lol. The Caribbean Crown shells are SUCH a beautiful shell! Thanks so much for watching! 💙
Wow! Amazing! What a beautiful nice people you are with🥰 you are lucky to have a friend like them, and helping you find lots of beautiful treasures! God Bless you all. 🙏
Wow, that vase and those crowns! I'd love to see that vase cleaned up. I love Jamaica, it's a beautiful island with such awesome people. I need to go back again soon!
I will be cleaning up some of these beauties in a future shell cleaning video - stay tuned! Jamaica is a wonderful place, and the people are 💙 Thank you for watching!
Hi shell friend, I was going to include a segment cleaning some of these beauties up in this video, but instead will feature this in an upcoming shell cleaning episode! Thank you so much, for watching! 💙
Aloha Capitain! Please send me a large crown conch with lots of spikey spikes! A pinkish one if you could! I live in Hawaii and have lots of broken coral but very few shells. I would send you something awesome that I make with beach glass! God BlessU, Mimi
I am going to be doing a "cleaning" episode soon, and will feature some of these beauties on that episode - I also anticipate that they will clean up amazing! Thanks for watching! 💙
Hi friend, I have been to JA a couple times over the past 6 years, but did not film for this channel there, until this past year(2024). I have one other video featured previously, and more to come from Jamaica soon - stay tuned! Thanks for watching!
Now that is a unique way of finding beautiful treasures! I’m curious how you learn of places like this? Is that fishing village close to more known travel locations? And….that Caribbean vase! How do you safely remove the “outer skin”?
Hi friend! I do a lot of reading and researching, but I also do a lot of exploring looking for new and great places in my free time, lol. Sometimes though it's just meeting and get to know the right people who know of unicorn spots like this. This village is located in St. Catherine, right outside of Kingston. Thanks for watching!
I can only speak to my experience, but I have traveled to a few Caribbean countries over the past 10 years, and never had any issues taking a few carefully packed, empty shells back in my checked luggage. Thank you for watching! 💙
Are you allowed to take them abroad Whats your buisness stripping the shells that holds the sand Bro dont sweet talk and do only you and not support the Locals
Hello friend, yes in general there are no issues taking a few dead/empty shells. I always pack them in my checked luggage, and claim them at customs with no issues. I always support the wonderful local people, and local businesses wherever I travel. 💙 Thanks for watching!
I think you worry a little too much about ethical shelling. Would you worry about picking up rocks or garbage from the fishing village? Or would you consider it a beautification project? And I know it would probably be insulting to the villagers to pick up garbage but that is obviously what they consider the shells. I just don't see the ethical problem in this case, but maybe that's my issue. :)
Hi shell friend! I hear and appreciate your concern, and I think you've raised some thoughtful insights here. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and share your perspective 💙
