one thing i loved about coc is we can take breaks at any time we want. for 1 month, for 1 year or even more. but imagine a player comeback from 1 year break after all the epic equipments are released.He needs to spend atleast 9000 gems for all the equipments if he wants to play like every others😢.

Nah I think Giant gauntlet is the only necessary one, maybe add Frozen arrow. Other epics are just a bonus, you can play effortlessly even when you don't have other epics.
That's why i keep playing till now since the th 16 almost released because i know if i stop playing i will fall behind for the heroes equipment, i push trophy to crystal leauge so i can get more ore each day, and more often joining war for the ore

Main rule for my clan is to never be sorry for making an attack. If you are afraid to fail you'll never try new armies , if you never try new strategies you'll never get better. The whole point of having a clan is to be able to recover for a clan mate when they miss. That's what teammates do.

Shout out to my Clan. Who usually does 2 stars at wars and I rarely do 2 stars. Is always 3 stars attacks … in the end we all have different styles.
If we win or loose, the purpose was to try our best.

Thank you for this video Kenny. I started as a very terrible player and over time, especially after discovering the pro scene, i began getting as a player and started being able to be creative as well. It would always turn the wrong screw in my head when I saw my clanmates do bad attacls or use spells non-efficiently. Periodically I would get a bad attack myself and feel so dejected because everyone is now looking at me like the best player wjo can do no wrong and yet here he is failing. But this wasn't something they put on me, I put it on myself. I put the pressure on myself and while it mau work well for clan wars, it made the casual mid-TH range players something I couldn't bear to watch.
However, stepping into the real world, a max 16 does nothing to improve my life apart from bragging points on the internet. And all I really do is take someone else's army and lern to fo what they do to triple. I realized that many people older than me play this game, some are parents, some are grandparents, some are in school (as I was) and those harsh words of mine in clan chat can really depress someone.
This is some much needed introspection. Not everyone is a pro player and if you decide to build a clan with pro players, that's alright, but it doesn't make casual players wrong. Making peace with the fact that not everyone thinks the same way you do will make your clashing time more peaceful. Thank you Jo

I have basically the same thoughts as you on the current CoC player base. Toxicity and gatekeeping have increased a lot, especially on the CoC subreddit. There never goes by a day where I don't see anyone hating someone else's playstyle or their opinions. For example: When the builder's apprentice was released, a lot of people complained due to its high price which is completely fair since they are a part of the player base and they have the right to complain about something they don't like. On the other hand, there were people who complained about the complainers who also presented fair points like the apprentice is a long-term investment which also fair. What I didn't like is how both sides tried to always shut down each other instead of trying to understand each other's views. This didn't use to happen in the past (around 3-4 years ago) at this scale.
The same thing happened when supercell decided to give less medals in the events to f2p players which meant they couldn't get the equipment + 1 of the 1025 medal decoration. A lot of people started to suppress the players who complained about this without even trying to understand them. They would provide arguments such as "Don't expect to get everything for free" or "Supercell has to make profit to keep making more content" or "Just buy the event pass then" and when the "complainers" provide a counter argument like "Its not like they didn't use to give us the medals, they just removed it which is not really a good practice", they would get downvoted to oblivion and/or get clowned by others without any proper explanation.
I remember I made a post in the Reddit about making the gold pass purchasable with gems, so once a year or so a FTP player could buy it if the saved up. I didn't receive any feedback basically, just people calling me broke and disrespectful and that FTP players always make things about themselves. I have a FTP and a gold pass account 😅
Well Kenny I must say that you addressing this is a great thing to do. Some people really get triggered if you do something which is not the way they do it and doing things in the game should be subjective. One example of this would be my friends who at times, forced me to use Electro dragon army where I wanted to use dragons and balloons. Another one would be which troops and buildings should I upgrade in my lab and base first. Like it's my account, another person should be only recommending something not enforcing it. This is the reason I don't even discuss anything with my friends about COC
I find the pocket watching stuff hilarious. And besides, we all did it. If you got a book in th10, you would spend it. As long as you think you feel you got value out of it.
Unhinged/uncontrolled rushing isn't a wrong way to play the game but it would be frowned upon by every clan that's worth it. Why would they want a member that is a defensive weak link. A maxed th15 base beats a rushed th16 one every single time
I know that you are specifically referring to haphazard rushing, but as a clan leader, unless the person didn't even upgrade essentials like army camps and offensive buildings, i'll accept them regardless. Thing is, offense is more important that defense(That doesn't mean defense is unimportant however), and that's true for both CW and exceptionally CWL. It's okay to be 3 starred by TH15, because you can then crush that TH15 and very likely TH16. And in CWL, your raw power is what matters, and rushing gives spikes in power the quickest, both offensively and defensively.
Dont let those toxic comments pull you down man...i lv to watch ur videos as they are ..its actually concerning where the community has come ..i myself hv been playing this game for about 8 years and these incidents hv been increasing ever since..people forget that its a game and especially that they are not the ones playing ,they are just here to watch and do not hv the right to judge how you play..i make mistakes ,sometimes purposefully just for fun

Its a game and games are meant to be fun. This is something that really frustrates me because it seems to be the whole online gaming community not just clash of clans. Also I have used different creators perspectives and strategies. Sometimes a different strategy to get the same result is a huge benefit. I watch multiple different creators and sometimes combine the strategies to help make a version of my own. Its a game and it should always be a game that is fun to enjoy. I greatly appreciate your content kennyjo you've been a huge part of my clash journey. Finally made it to TH 12 and didn't think that would ever happen 😂

I'm at the start of your video. I already agree. 1st long story short. Me and 2 people started a clan. But some don't communicate. In this type of game. Some didn't attack so on. So we made multiple villages. Now I am alone they don't play. Some things with people I don't know in real life. So as I Kicked out most. 2 agree to Communicate, do Attacks. I made in all 15 villages. I closed my clan. I'm looking forward to the rest of your video. Thanks

I think the best way to teach an inexperienced clan mate is to share replays of your attack in the clan chat and explain how the strategy works and how to effectively use those equipments. If they follow it, then cool. If they don't, that's fine as well. We are playing this game to have fun, afterall. If they are having fun in the way that they're attacking, then who am I to judge.
But that being said, these equipments are really piling up. Most players don't know what it does or how to control them (like fireball and giant arrow). So SuperCell, either has to make playable tutorials for each equipment, showcasing its pros and cons or simplify their mechanics.

Its literally a game you play in your spare time to have FUN. Play how you like and find likeminded people. It may take some take but its totally worth it.
Even started my own clan, where maybe not the most skilled, most active still can have fun. Its what u make out of it.

Also regarding rushing. Rushing isn't generally challenging, when compared to the max-everything-to-upgrade-townhall strategy. Back in the day, when we didn't have to build all buildings to upgrade the townhall, Rushed bases were basically for 3 things and 3 things alone:
1. High level attacks
2. High level donation for clanmates
3. Unlock OP troops faster for 1 & 2
Rushing these days is actually good, as the hero potion will get you top level heroes of that Townhall but your equipments will still be bad. But since we have to build all the buildings, rushing isn't that faster as before. But, if you know how to attack, I'd definitely urge you to rush to atleast TH11 and from my own personal experience with managing 3 new accounts, Rushing is even faster to level up your core attack items like favourite army, spells and even heroes. The only con of Rushing was the defence and that's still the case as of today. But fixing the defence is a matter of time and not of loot, when you are rushing.
I left the game in early 2022 and just started playing in August. I'm messing up almost every war attack. But I'm lucky to have a clan which never discussed failures and always appreciate good attacks. It's not the game, you just need to find a good clan.
Edit: This was my response at the start of the video. The toxic community is pretty concerning for overall game reputation and new players. But at the same time, it's a fact that there are good and bad people everywhere especially on social media.
Internet is what sucks and brings the worst toxicity out of everyone. I just introduced my best friend to some social apps and in about a week im seeing him grow more and more distant from me. He is picking up random fights with me and justifying it . May gid bless his soul I dont blame him😢

I've started coc like a couple weeks ago, was thinking of taking things slow, but then the whole ores came up and saw that I'd have to sell it all for gems rather than keeping them cause I was couple TH too low to store it, so it kind of forced me to rush the main base.
And lets talk about clans, it's bad if you can't contribute in war cause you're massively missmatched, you dont have the troops, troops are smaller, lower level, etc. I get not rushing when you're playing the game from the start, where you max out your base, cause another TH doesnt even exist. Nowdays I think it's reasonable to take a mixed approach.
People should just play the game, mind their own things, if someone f's up, give em some tips, calling someone trash is really not helpful. And people that are getting trash talked, leave the clan, there are so many of them or learn to not give a crap

I hold similar sentiments. Play how you want to play. Join a clan that aligns with your personality. Interacting with people can be hard and if a misstep is taken then that’s how life experience works. Resolve it and/or move on. I’d stipulate two concepts. The time since this game came out and where we are today is quite a lot. It’s on its 11th or 12th anniversary which isn’t a small amount of time. This brings in interactions with a younger generation. Secondly and more consequentially is the vastness of the internet connects a lot of people from a variety of backgrounds. Unfortunately this includes people who have garbage morals or someone who’s had a bad day and is prepped to vent. It takes a robust character to put themselves forward in public sight to proclaim their passion. When dissidence troll and flame, I’d say one way to deal with it is to call them out on it. It’s toxic. Point it out from the comments and move. Making it the subject of discourse does certainly put it under spotlight.
I’m playing two accounts currently. One I’m maxing before going to the next town hall level and the other is an adjusted rush where I build some things and limit my focus on other structures to speed through progression. I’ve got an okay attack put together for the time I’ve invested into it. I can only imagine what your account (Jo) will be capable of doing soon. That’s the payoff I’m looking forward to seeing. The best way to play in my honest opinion is to play however you like at the moment, Im a new th14 so as of now im focusing on farming but just a few weeks back in th13 my base was almost max & i was trophy pushing. So basically it boils down to individual preferences
The main thing is that there are more and more TH levels which means more difference beetween each level and especially beetween beginners and maxed out players... Let's consider a thing: imagine at TH11 you're at your prime, you master every troops/spells/hero/super troops/attack strategy etc... basically you know 100% of the game. But then TH12 come and since you love TH11 so much, you play less at TH12 and do not master thing anymore, you can say you master the game at 95% ... then 90% TH13 etc... and so you're arround maybe 75% at TH16, still you're a good player, but you're not as good as you were. You'll improve yourself everytime but when you were the best and some were bad, now it's kinda reverse. Former bads are now good but somehow still consider themselves not really good, and you (general you, not you personnally) are now just good.
So... people who consider you better than them seing you are now worse than them expect a lot from you you see, but you are still good, juste people don't realize they were not at their prime at TH11, but maybe TH 14.
And to this, add the fact that it's long to upgrade a clan, everybody want a clan at least level 10 for the boosts, but it takes at least 1 year to create a new clan and put it to level 10. The fact is that there are less players and less new clans, but obviously, some clans disappear with time. So... there are a limited number of clans and most of them are turning the side of their capacity. The plot twist is that, with more toxicity, there will be more and more good clans disappearing meaning toxic players will easily concentrate in clans and so clans will disapear faster.
What can we do against it? Hope the devs will change the way clans work to make them easier to progress and to get new clan members, kind of general chat but... maybe with clans descriptions only, idk. The more clans there are, the lower the toxicity there is, and then with low toxicity players, they will just disappear, changing their mind or quitting the game.
As a former clan leader and now co-leader of the same clan for about 2 years and 3 months, I have created a "list" of toxic players with their "crime" on a scale from danger lvl 1 to 5 (consider it was make for fun), the clan known 15 toxic players on 2 years, but especially on the start... and now, 3 of the 15 toxic players came in July and August 2024 (and 3other were on the very 1st month)... and I fear there will be more of them now...
If you're in a clan and you want to avoid it to happen, I have some tips I use in my clan:
-never surrender to the toxicity under any circuntenses, never gove power to random people, not even Elder, your clan will get level 10 one day and it will be really different
-Consider the grade Elder as a distinction of the grade member, that should be given to people in your clan since many months, but don't give it just because the won a clan war, or give lots of troops, you can give them quicker, but not instantly
-Give the grade co leader to only really trustable people who are Elder since many months and never betrayed the clan valors, and if you can contact them on discord for exemple, it's better, but don't give the grade to you friends for exemple... friends are your clan's rules worst ennemy, because they are on a completely different vision of the game; consider co-leaders as 2nd leader, a leader were you have the only ability to kick him if he does bad thing.
-Write clear and strict rules, even if it's dumb sometime, for exemple, I automatically kick people who don't hello when joining... because in my clan at least, people who just said hello were never toxic. The more rules there are and the more complex diverse there are, the better your clan will live, but remember, too many rules will make you dislike the game, the complexity of the rules should be proportionnal to the number of leaders in the clan (leader + co-leaders)
-unless your clan is under a raid or real threat, never ban too many people at the same time, there should be at least always 15 people.
-Try not to ban automatically good former players just because they didn't participate in clan wars, for exemple I have a 5th grade beetween Elders and co-leaders which is "permanent Elders", basically people who are treated the same way as co-leaders but don't have any powers and are in the game only "elders". They get this grade by beeing in the clan for at least 8months, but can speed-up the process by just doing great things, such as lots of troop giving, enormous score in clan games, etc... but not for clan wars, consider clan wars as the most classic thing a clan can do, and if you search really special players, you won't find them in clan wars
Last cwl we had a guy telling the clan everybody needs to lock in and get serious.. Because we lost a single war.. By 1*.. against an average +2 Town Hall mismatch. Some people just take this GAME way too serious

Previously i am in a toxic clan where they asked me to don't rush my account and if i didn't 3* some time i forget to attack and they all are scolding in the clan chat. After that i started my new clan to not see these things. They didn't know, this is just a game and my account and it is my rule on how to play. Now i am happy just playing the games for fun when ever getting the time.

I started rush because I want to enjoy the game as Everyone not to wait 3 years to have to use an unit or an Champion. I found myself a clan where they accept me because they understand IT'S a game. The porpuse It's to have fun not to be competitive.If u want to play competitive just join an Top Pro League Clan.
We do know what we do with our rush bases.A player call a Rush base free 3 star in war but they forget that free 3 star base can also give free 6 star because he have access to more advanced Attack Troops then a normal player.
So play how u want if people don't accept it ignore them. We play for our own fun not for them.❤

I'm not a content creator or a steamer but to be honest the online games I've played aside from clash of clans there are players who play the game seriously & there are also players who feel like experts in the game if you just make a mistake they already have a lot to say about the mistake you made & there are high level players when they give advice they want you to follow it even if the account you are playing is not theirs & I agree to just play the game as long as you are having fun playing with it

I open coc and do my attack with my cooked army(2 attack) and upgrade anything that is possible with the amount of gold and elixir, its so expensive and time consuming to farm for the loot. Its really hard to stay on game especially for f2p player like me to grind and progress forward. There is same issues with builder base, you get little amount of gold and elixir that we have to attack and wait for 2-4 days grinding so that we can upgrade 1 defence after grinding for that long. It's so tiring to stay and farm daily.

I just started my own clan with only myself and my accounts to skip all the "shaming" for war attack n stuff. Hate the competitive/so serious. I like boosting myself and grinding with different account with different way f2p,rush, gold pass etc.
People want to show off their more efficient method. But yeah fun takes precedence in gameplay especially knowing that you're a guy who had gone lots of playthroughs already.
