Sir...this is, hands down one of THE MOST useful videos on the CCIE that I've come across thus far!!! I still haven't taken my first attempt yet, but I could imagine that this is probably one of the most common reasons why most candidates typically fail their first attempt from what I've gathered. I haven't seen any advice for the CCIE like this up until now. I'm actually afraid that this might upset "The Powers that be" because this strategy seems like a "best kept secret" or "right of passage" that most candidates have to figure out on their own. Nonetheless, I appreciate you for passing this knowledge on so, PLEASE continue to put out more videos like these!! You just gained a new subscriber.
I'm almost ready to try my first attempt at the CCIE Service provider lab, and this actually makes me feel a lot better. This is a wonderful tip, and I am grateful.
Thank you, Richard. Have you seen my CCIE SP comprehensive study guide? I teamed up with two other experts to create this bundle: leanpub.com/b/cciespultimate
The CCIE lab kicked my arse. this is good advise though. I f'ed config's up and just made stuff work even though it said not to do, just that. But it wasn't enough and it's hard to tell from the results exactly what it was. That was an expensive test not to pass. I'm pretty pissed at myself.
Hello. How is CCDE Practical Exam different from the CCIE Practical Exam? My understanding was CCIE Practical Exam will require you to troubleshoot, but I don't have any idea regarding CCDE.
This is a strange but very important strategy for passing the CCIE lab where time is a usual enemy. I like to see more of these videos in the future.

Thanks Nick! No one ever talks about this, but moving forward makes sense if it opens up opportunity to pass this exam.

How would this apply to something like CCIE Security? Same logic, even though you have multiple products?
Yes, same logic. The product count doesn't matter.
