Now that Disney has shown they CAN make a smaller hilt with their technology and proprietary blade system, it would be nice if they'd do a new release of the Darth Sidious and some of the other SUPER chonky hilts to get them closer to film and show accurate. Unfortunately, i don't have much faith they will. 😒😕
No, they probably won't, not since Darth Sidious already came out. Unfortunatlex, even Hasbro Black Series kinda dropped the ball on that. I hope Kanan Jarrus Legacy Lightsaber will be great and I still hope Hasbro will release their own Cal Kestis Lightsaber. Currently the ones from Disney (the original broken, the Collector's Edition Survivor hilt and the new Double Blade from Fallen Order) are the most accurate Cal Lightsaber's on the market, judged by details. There are third party sabers with better proportions but with wrong details and therefor uninteresting to me. And that's sad, that the most accurate variant is chunky as hell. But then, even more impressive they nailed it with Yoda!
Glad i watched this! I was a little annoyed at the price given the size, but seeing the custom blade and effort put into it in general, I feel much better about the cost. Great review as always, you're my go to for lightsaber reviews.
one thing I wish they would improve on is the blade ignition and retract smoothness. It looks like they're lighting up in groups of 6 instead of 1 or even 3 would be much smoother.
Man, was really hoping you were going to show your 1:1 scale! I have have one too and wanted to see it sized up with the legacy saber. Also, why is the rebel symbol on yoda's box? My boy wasn't a rebel
Question. I got this at a Disney Character Warehouse store, and noticed some customizable Blades on Etsy with a very similar looking connector. If i purchase one of those custom blades with the similar circled connectors as this included blade, will it change the colour of the blade, or stay the same?
I have to say that third party sabers are way more advanced and "better" than legacy sabers, but I have to admit that the blade to hilt connection is way better than the classic neopixel blades. The screw that holds the blade will damage the blade pretty easy and if not, it's not going to hold well when you swing it and it might slip. So I hope that we get both, the third party smoothswing and neopixel blade plus the blade connection from Disney
I wish they also would have found a way to make a special blade for Luke’s ROTJ saber so it could have only had the thin neck without the need for the adapter:(

It is odd it does not seem to have a way to hook onto a belt clip, but looks like it has an empty screw hole where one might go. Or did I miss something in the video?
What is the official name of the metal plate that extends past the emitter on Yoda's hilt? This Legacy Lightsaber looks flawless for what it is. My concern is for this upcoming Force FX Elite hilt. From the quick demo clip and the render images for the Black Series Force FX Elite Yoda hilt, the metal plate that extends past the emitter looks blocky and harsh looking versus this hilt and the 2016 Black Series Force FX Yoda release.

My thoght's to the rechargable battery: I'm sceptical, for good reason I'm afraid. I own the Hasbro Darksaber (wich I can recommend, more accurate than the one from Disney for sure) and it uses a rechargable battery. Problem is, after 1,5 years of use the battery stopped working. Hasbro tends to put low quality batteries into their toys for "Try Me", so maybe a similar thing happened and the rechargable battery in the Darksaber is just low quality. But the real problem is, one side of the battery is soldered to the cables of the battery pack so there's no "legal" way to change it. But hey, maybe it's not the battery's fault, the replacement Hasbro sent me was already broken after one day, so maybe my Darksaber is destroying them or something. Still, I wish we could put our own rechargable batteries into these products!
I have a ideas try your month is lightsaber, your month your inqusitor lightsaber color, your birth year your lightsaber for life, your first letter of your name is your lightsaber and that's it. Whatcha think 😊 big fan

The only way to keep it fresh and keep people interested is to upgrade weather or not it’s something they will do is still uncertain but goes to show they can make thinner / smaller hilts
There's always someone else out there who can do repairs and could convert your Galaxy's Edge Legacy saber into a neopixel saber. Don't forget that. But I agree with James. You gotta upgrade and update to keep people interested and coming back.

The new Ahsoka set uses the smaller blades and the hilts are thinner than the original Legacy. The ones from the new show are real nice.

Not sure to be honest but I do know the legacy saber is actually bit smaller then Hasbro version
I am doing a full disassembly video of this hilt. I will be doing a series on upgrading it to NeoPixel and can say, the battery can be replaced.
