Thank you so much! I've had this recently, buying 4 items and 1 still being tagged when I got home. Living far away from the store this helps a lot. I probably did distract the lady serving me with chit-chat 🤦🏻♀️
Even better - my LADY recently brought home two different items, from two different shopping trips, that have these tags attached. By removing them, I am now the stud and can skip the chit-chat that you were attempting. :)
Its suprising how many times this happens and mainly when going through self checkout! Its a pain in the ass to drive back across town again. Thanks for this
I just opened a gift of some really nice pj's and the damn alarm was tucked into the fold so my mil had no idea it had am alarm and it would have deactivated as it scanned but now I'm searching the web for how to get it off without making a trip to the mall (which will be horrible on return day tomorrow) so despite everyone assuming this is to promote thievery, thank you for posting this for honest people who don't want to go through the hassle of taking it back for removal (ain't nobody got time for that) Merry Christmas
The magnet will work but it needs to be knocked around quite a bit to release the ball bearings. Ask me how I know. My daughter bought a tool that's specifically made to remove these tags and even that wouldn't work until it was given the shock treatment. I believe it is the rubbish chinesium tolerances that cause the ball bearings to get a little jammed up hence the need to the shock treatment. Mmm, Bill can only invite *five* people round for steaks now. 😲 *Thanks* for the video Bill. 👍
Thanks for this video! I was going mad trying to get this dumb tag off! I watched numerous other videos first and nothing else worked; strong magnets didn’t work, prying with forks and other tools didn’t work. I had to cut the bastard apart like you demonstrated. Yay! Cheers from America!
Excellent video! Stores often leave the security tags on in error. My only 'criticism'mis that you should use a cutting board to protect the table if you happen to go 'opps''. BTW I've just subscribed! :>)
I bought a $54 pair of pants from Hollister two days ago for my daughter. How the FK does the sales person/cashier forget to remove the damn detector from it?? Now I have to take it back tmrw and have them remove it! The part where you cut , on the pants, the detector it's weirdly shaped so I can't cut into it like you did here !
No Mr Bill! Don't go teaching thieves how to do this stuff. The actual best way to remove a tag is to go back to the store you purchased item from and have them remove it!!
Do you really think the thieving basturd don't know this and take their own removal tool into the shops to take the tags off before leaving and not setting off the sensors at the exit? Why would someone want to drive multiple kilometres to and from the store to remove the tad? In my case the shops are a 22km round trip so about $17 in running costs to save a set of $6.50 tea towels. Don't think so. My daughter was averaging a hung up tag 3 times a month. There's $54 in running costs which would be better off in her pocket .

Thank you so much! Now I can finally remove the security tags off of all those cloths I stole from the store last week!
😂
Good for you 😂

This was much easier than I thought it would be. Thanks.

👍🏽👍🏽 glad you didn’t destroy the table
hahaha I was SO nervous - Mrs Bill would be PISSED!!!
@@MrStuartFordgood excuse to get a new table 👍🏽
😉 Never seen anything sold with a tag like that, removed in-store. Thanks for the video.
First time I’ve come across this style too. Upside is that it’s the same concept for all👍👍👍
Interesting! I don't need to do this, but it is still a very informative and entertaining video! Thank you!

if that happens, it will be an opportunity to do a how to fix a damaged table video👍👍👍👍
@@billshowto That's Hilarious!! And I apologize for the typos in my comment! It's 3:00 a.m. in California, so I'm a little blurry-eyed! :>)

Saved me a trip thank you- worked perfectly.
How ridiculous to have it on a tea towel 🙄 what next? Great work Bill. 🎉❤
Lol, I know. 👍👍👍
People steal those too.
Next episode.
How to remove the ruined kitchen before the missus gets home
😅😉
Lol that’s what the tea towel is for👍
Very Cool stuff Bill and helped🎉
If you could help with part 2, how to out run the security staff. That's the part I struggle with 😂
😂
Imagine you scratched that nice dining table just because you only go to the shops once every three years hahaha
Thank you!!! Very useful this video. And easy
lol- all I could think of while watching this video is ''..... OMG that lovely table - you are in trouble if the wife sees this one Bill ...!! 🤣😂
Thank you!!!!! Wish these silly tags didn’t even exist. Just a nuisance!
Awesome Bill - thanks bro!
👍
Thanks for that tip!
Thank you! ThankYou!
Me, watching this with rapt fascination, knowing I'll never need to do this but thinking if I ever do, I'll use my bolt cutters.
Do that I bet you inadvertently break the glass and change the colour of the item.
@@josephking6515 how? He can just cut the pin
Nice Bill
👍👍👍
🖐 discount part 2😉

Now every store changing room will have ball bearings on the floor!
And today in our “School for shoplifters” series….,,
Would of put a cutting board not to damage the table top. A pair of secateurs might of been easier perhaps?
I would have, and yes, it might have been easier
Dremel
If you put that much effort into work you could earn enough money to buy it without stealing it
I came home from buying the clothes and one still had a hidden security tag on it. Not all are thieves buddy
Y would they need a security tag on that ugly thing whatever it was
