    This is the third video I found on this after looking at the online text, and the first one that made it understandable.

    Finally someone who does not assume everyone is an excel expert. He was great at describing the stats too. THANK YOU.

    Nice video. Can you please explain the formula in Column I, ie the % for each item (i-0.5/n), why are you using "0.5" - can you provide a reference source

    What actually happens when we choose normal .S. inverse distribution? or how theoretical z is calculated for every percentile or quantile (i-0.5)/57 by excel? Why should this be a straightline?

    Great job!!! Why would one want two or three people who weigh the same and have different probabilities? Consider rows 38-43, and 49-52. Should not they be the same probabilities?

      A different way of ranking the values would involve giving the average rank to any ties. That method would be more accurate than this one, but would require some conditional coding for the ranking column. If you are not married to using excel, I have a video showing how to create the quantile plot using desmos.com. ruclips.net/video/afcSgt_UlmE/видео.html

    hello, I don't understand why do you use i minus 0.5 ? where's the 0.5 coming from ?

    • @JermaineGordon1
      @JermaineGordon1  6 лет назад +1

      It is to correct or continuity since we are making it discrete.

    • @JermaineGordon1
      @JermaineGordon1  6 лет назад

      Look up "continuity correction"

    Formula =(XY-.5)/57 doesn't work. Error.

    You really need to learn excel shortcuts first. Also, people already knows excel's basic functions like sorting , filtering etc; you don't need to make it boring.

      That is an unnecessary criticism!! There are many of us who know nothing about excel and need every step shown!!!

      I will suggest you prepare one as Mr. Gordon did.. He is considering all the audience. If people is proficient in excel, I am sure they do not need to use YT to figure out things.
