Alone in the Mitch is a terrible name and I love it. Also, having everyone on camera is great! Glad you all did this :D I also love the manual blink button that works in THIRD PERSON!??! This seems like a fun time.
I kinda like the low resolution and the extreme bloom. It's weird but the wii360 gen gives me nostalgia. I don't miss anything about the wiimote though, that thing always was a nightmare. The best thing they did with it was putting it in a big plastic magnum and letting you shooting zombies in house of the dead.
i didn't even know this was released on the Wii, kinda a guilty pleasure when I played this way back on the 360, the flame physics and puzzles blew my mind back then
The Wii version is actually substantially different in terms of plot beats and characterization as it goes on, it's not so much a different version of the game as it is kind of a parallel development of the same concept. Really fascinating artifact.
@@Nnomad175 yeah if memory serves me right that was common with most wii ports back then. I've always wanted to see the inventory system implemented in a newer game
Mike loves Mike so much that I for shoot thought he had modded his Wii U to say "Wiinotti" and didn't realize it was the overlay until the end of the video.
Being able to see the pure joy and elation on Jeff's face knowing he's so far from having to suffer Blight Club was such a good choice. They NAILED the game choice. Mike's gonna loathe this, and we're all here for it.
Mike should consider himself lucky. The Wii/ps2 version is considerably smaller in scope and is much more linear with the 360 version being pretty open and having a lot of physics puzzles to figure out so shitty controls aside he’s getting off easy. Though to be fair the ‘blight’ of making someone play this version is entirely because of the wiggle waggle controls
Okay yeah, I was way off on my guesses of what this game would be. I convinced myself that it was Red Steel but of course it can't be that simple. I haven't seen an ounce of gameplay at the time of writing this comment but god dammit I can't wait to see what happens next.
@@skulker_s8664 You don't think so? I bought it on day 1 and took it back to Gamestop the next day because it was so ass but maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance
@@MaxMax-zo9vqYou’re thinking of the sequel years later, Red Steel 2. Wii games couldn’t be patched, by the way :) Yes, even in the context of the time that was nuts. There was a game-breaking bug in early copies of Skyward Sword preventing progression, and to “fix” that, you either had to mail in your console, or Nintendo released a one-off Skyward Sword “Save Data Update” channel (app) that would modify your save file to release the soft lock. That’s the best even Nintendo could do, and in that specific case they got extremely lucky that that bug could be fixed by modifying the save data, instead of altering the actual game logic in any way (which was impossible on Wii. Your only option was to get a new physical disc that had new code on it).
can you guys do blightning round at the same time? get 3 crap short games that have similar run times and the last one to beat the game has to do the next full blight club game?
It would be a lot of "oh my god this horrible thing happened did you guys see that?" and no they didn't because they're staring at their own games instead :P
Maybe I'm just a Wii apologist (hell, I know I am. It was my only system through college) but I do feel like they're misusing the term waggle. From my memory, waggle referred to aimlessly shaking the controllers with no rhyme or reason, not any motion controls in any form. And in several moments where Mike is complaining that the waggle isn't working, he is visibly just shaking the controllers around instead of doing the specific motion the game is asking him to do. I know this game is awful and a lot of the ideas for motion controls are poorly implemented, but Mike is making it worse on himself by just haphazardly waving the wiimote and nunchuck around.
having everybody on camera was such a good choice
Really appreciate the other 2 facecams. Ive always wanted to see the absolute delight on their faces while the 3rd is miserable
"Lakitu is blinking" is an incredible line
Spending weeks tricking Mitch into thinking he's playing some kind of bug game, only to spring this nightmare on him is perfect!
I mean, it's definitely gonna be buggy.
Watching @voidburger play this, there’s also plenty of horrible parts with literal possessed bug-ish things too. They weren’t wrong. 😂
This was - bar none - the best game reveal yet. Mike's reaction when it dawned on him was priceless.
Watching Mike put his hands up preparing to start driving had me in tears that section was incredible
'Alone in the Mitch' sounds more like a docuseries about Mitch's colonoscopy but whatever I'm down
After the descent into GrubbkaGrubba its only funny if the puns get worse and more forced every time.
His ramp up to incensed from cautious optimism when he found out he couldn't skip cutscenes was incredible.
Seeing Mike's hands waving around really adds to the experience. And having everyone else on cam is nice too!
The utter joy from Dan and Jeff was contagious--I couldn't stop smiling and laughing...
“I don’t want to blink I want to skip the cutscene” fucking lol
I'm voting for A Mike In The Dark
Mike "You have weak eyes if you need to blink this much" Minotti
Grubb’s laugh at the very start is setting the tone. Love it.
Mitch in the Dark was right there
As the first non-bot comment, maybe future episodes could be called Alonotti the Dark or Alonotti in the Dark.
You should get paid for this.
Alone in the Mike
I think its funnier if they get worse and worse. They were dabbling with GrubbkaGrubba by the end of the last one.
28:44 omg I was rolling during this sequence! 😂😂😂
Good lord, this name choice is SOMETHING.
Blight Club is my favorite movie, and there's a new sequel every week!
The Wii pointer hand for Mitch should have the middle finger up
"Struggling out of the fissure" sounds like a very unsettling euphemism.
Thank you so much for whoever it was for finally choosing something interesting to play.
Alone in the Mitch is a terrible name and I love it. Also, having everyone on camera is great! Glad you all did this :D

The motion controls driving like it thinks it's MarioKart Wii. Oh my god, this game
I had the exact same Dunkin order this morning. New $6 combo so i ordered the new Apple Cider donut too!
I'm really looking forward to more of Mike very angrily saying the word "waggle."
second time (at least) that mike has doxxed himself on a stream. good job buddy!

Bloom lighting used to be a big deal on the Wii, but this game turns up the bloom to 11
"Normal people dont have to blink this much"
Mike loves Mike so much that I for shoot thought he had modded his Wii U to say "Wiinotti" and didn't realize it was the overlay until the end of the video.
After the 360 version, then you could always get Mike to do the Gameboy Colour game next
It's on NSO, so they should definitely do it for a one off.
Can Mitch please completely re record the voices for a whole horror game?
Oh boy, this is gonna be a ride. The Alone in the Dark reboot is a special kinda terrible.
Alonotti in the Darkotti

Anna are you okay?
Are you okay?
Are you okay Anna?
Anna Are you okay?
Won't you tell us that you're okay!
You should have made him dress up in the outfit of Edward in the original game pastel colors and all
This is the best ongoing content on the internet
Best show on the Internet. Goddamn i love you idiots
Wow, they actually made the driving section playable in this version. It only took two attempts!

Why didn’t they call it Mitch in the dark?
Could call it Alone in the Park and have Mike wearing Mickey Mouse ears on the cover art.
This is going to be the best blight club game lol
"I'm not going to try NINE combinations!!!"
I would watch Mitch's Crossbow Training

A MItch in the Dark - also a great title...
Man I tried to love this game as a kid but it was just to broken to work.
"I'm trying to put it in there!"
it would be preeeeeetty funny if Mike's next game was the proper 360/ps3 version of this, and it somehow turned out to be worse than the wii version
The gameplay's kind of a lateral move, but the characterization in the 360/PS3 version is very different and way more irritating.
Jeff's moustache looks really evil here.
I was hoping so badly for the 3rd person blink
Why isn't this called "Mitch in the Dark"!?
Jeff's Joker laugh
Void Burger did at least 2 playthrough of that game on stream with her now fiance
Alone in the Mindarki

BLIGHT FOR THE BLIGHT GODS
Love that Mitch Magic!
We are going to spend a lot of time looking at the Wii Home menu decompressing lol
29:06 Please Dan use this in your podcast 😁
Alone with Mitch
Sad reminder that Jess helped give birth to Blight club and she loves the 360 version of this game. Really wish she could still be a part of this
Alone in the Mitch?
Thumbs up before I know the game.
Dan shouting "don't look at chat" might be the most annoying thing ever 😂
There needs to be a Waggle Cam. Half the fun of forcing Mike to play the Wii version of this game is the motion controls and we can't see them. 😢
Does anyone know where I can find the wow montage Dan mentions at 1:10:34 ?
The Pickle Giraffe animation for the Daikatana finale.
In a lamenting tone, “It’s just so dark.” 1:00:09
lmao did minotti dox himself
Now that Wii waggle is on the menu, how long until we get Kinect games?
Could have been worse, could have been sonic and the secret rings
First blightclub game I’ve actually played!!
This game is so dark I keep seeing my dumbass face in the screen’s reflection
How was this not called Alone MINo-The Dark

So many bots on this video haha
As far as i can tell, this has big Movie Tie In energy, but seems unreleated to the movie released a few years before...
I know its sticking with the theme, but holy hit this is way too dark.

this game is dogshit but it's kind of nuts how much of it would show up in Alan Wake

Kinda sucks that they chose the boring version of the game. The 360 version is Insane in comparison.
