I have a theory that golden freddy is actually a good person:
1. He never hits mike or any other animatronics
2. Golden freddy didn't help the others put mike in the suit
3. When they were in the closet golden freddy teleported mike into the basement because he was being cornered
Even though number 2 and 3 happened in mike's dream he could still be a good person because he assumably was fredbear and fredbear might have just been a normal animatronic on stage with spring bonnie. At some point he might have met the puppet who gave him his teleportation powers. Then the bite of 87/83 happened and both fredbear, spring bonnie and the puppet were shut down and left to rot. They were moved into freddy fazbear's into a basment that was sealed off forever. Since fredbear/golden freddy had his teleportation powers, he left the basement and met the others and became friends with them. After that, he found an axe and he opened the basement. Golden freddy waited for mike and the others to discover the basement so that they could assumably try to fix spring bonnie and power him on and that is why we see spring bonnie (springtrap) in the basement at the begining of the episode where they discover the basement and that is also where golden freddy was probobly hanging out before he escaped and met the others!!!
