We have so much evidence that Biden is not mentally and physically up to the job and it's only going to get worse over the next four years. Even in Australia, which has one of the best healthcare systems in the world, the coverage for optical and hearing is quite limited. Dental coverage is restricted to children 17 and under whose parents are on lower incomes. Baby steps.

I was an ardent Bernie supporter in the last two election cycles, and I still am… he is qualified, articulate, and he has the most integrity of ANY Politician I have ever known in my lifetime. Despite his age, I would vote for him again in a heartbeat.

Fact-Checking for you. You worked during your life time and you paid social security tax. When you retired, social security administration will use your record and figure out your social security income. No matter how much you have made during your life-time they will use the highest income of 30 yrs to calculate for a average amount. This amount will multiply by the % of the living cost for the year of you apply, and it take many steps to come up with your " Social Security Income ". For people who never work or worked less than 10 yrs, that program is a different program and it is still run by Social Security Administration Dept. So, your comment is that people who on SS is making less than $12,000 is incorrect.
You can make different salary each year, as long as you work more than 10 years and earn atleast 40 credits, your ss income is based on that.
Each year you worked, they gave you only 4 credits. Each credit based on the amount of your earning income ( this amount is set up by SSA Govt ).
If you don't understand, go to SS office, in there, people should give you some explanation. Because, if you give out wrong info, many people will get it wrong too !!! I just try to give you the correct info. I'm not taking any side. Thank you !

Affordable/free health care might be radical for the US but it’s how things have been forever in other countries. People forget we aren’t the only democracy in the world and this whole election is proving how busted our system is.
And let's not forget that this country already has numerous "socialist" programs that have worked well for decades and many would not only miss but would make no sense not to have such policies. Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid are obvious but many forget about public education, public libraries, police and fire, USPS, public transportation, infrastructure such as the interstate highway system not to mention the other roads and highways we all use daily, national parks, etc. Sure, there are also many others that a lot of people would like to see go away ...pell grants, affordable housing programs, agricultural subsidies, to name a few. Let's all remember that there doesn't have to be an ultimatum as socialism or socialist programs and capitalism can work together to create a healthy society in my opinion. Bernie embodies the meshing of socialist policies with capitalism to form a health democracy. So yes, labeling him a "socialist" is not only unfair but inaccurate.

For reference: it costs $21 Australian for an asthma inhaler - USD$14.

Good point he makes about so many seniors not being able to afford proper dental care or hearing aids. My pension and SS isn’t nearly enough to allow for a decent hearing aid, so I make do with a cheapie that keeps falling off.

Yep, just turned 65 and started Medicare. The first thing that’s happened is at my out-of-pocket dental appointment yesterday is that they counseled me I need $1200 worth of work that should be done asap, and that’s after paying nearly $300 for the 6-month checkup.
I recommend reviewing your state's requirements for Medicaid eligibility. You may qualify for both Medicaid and Medicare health insurance programs. If eligible, Medicaid may cover dental care. Bernie Sanders comments are accurate. I voted for him originally in 2015 and voted for Hilary Clinton when Bernie Sanders did not prevail. Let us not forget that Biden chose Kamala Harris for his running mate after she lambasted him for an ill-advised racist vote years ago. Harris is accomplished and even though she had some initial snafus, she has shown herself to be quite effective. I will vote for Biden because of his record and his VP choice. There is no way to have a healthy diet if you don't have teeth. It would be cheaper to pay for dentistry than to care for all the issues caused by an unhealthy diet.
How did he not get the nomination
Buttigieg and Klobuchar coordinated to derail his candidacy in order to push him out right after South Carolina. I will vote against Trump any time I can and if that's Biden so be it and if it's Harris then so be it. But no one should be under the delusion that the Democratic establishment wants genuine progress.
Most of what Bernie calls for isn't really that clever or obscure. He wants common sense solutions to America's problems, most of which have already been proven in other developed countries. But the Democratic establishment is not in the business of fixing problems. They're in the business of forming committees and deliberating and congratulating themselves for talking about stuff that Republicans refuse to acknowledge.
