i put off watching this movie bc i knew it would have dark themes but omg. omg. i can't believe i waited so long to watch it. hard for me to put into words all the emotions i felt. it's kind of a difficult watch because of all the angst but it was honestly incredible
This movie introduced me to Korean cinema and I can't get enough. Since then I've bought The Land of Wind and I have a crush on the guy who plays the king. He's king in both movies.

one of the best movie i have watched in my entire lifeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee....very sad, very touch., very awesome.....totallly recommand.....u wont regret watching this.....

It paid off with this awesome movie! :) I only just heard of this movie recently and I must say, it is definitely Top 10 material. ^^~ Jang Seng and Gong-gil were greatly portrayed and the storyline... aha absolutely loved it to bits~
well he's suppose to play a feminine role in this movie so I don't think he would of have abs. I heard he did some exercises to tone out his waist line or something ^^ But he's still so pretty isn't he??
I loved this movie! At first, I was hesitant because I thought it was going to traumatize me like the "Frozen Flower." It didn't! Very well put together! Loved it!
@@weonlygiverock Hi. I just like clean, and leave it your imagination-type movies. Just know, the Frozen flower is a great movie. One of my favs that just had me traumatized in so many ways. Especially the ending. My sister and I dissected the whole move over and over and I'm still mad over the all the madness. In the "Frozen flower" there were situations in the movie that had my very modern mind reeling according to "today's" law and order ordinances not to mention the heartbreak of the queen and her unborn child. When I watched the King and his clown, it too had a lot of situations in it that made my modern world question a lot of things, that I had to put on the brakes and remind myself of the time (era) of this movie. The King and his clown is also a great film, I was surprised how broad Lee Joon Gi acting is. I enjoyed how the movie showed their innocence in the beginning with their zeal for life becoming famous in the big city. Just to get there to find out another level of life that they were naive about is just another obstacle. If you have not seen it, please, go watch it. Not much different than modern Hollywood today, according to aspiring actors and actresses say. I hope I answered your question.
@@cynthiatruss2858 yes you did thank you so much that was super useful, kinda made me excited to watch frozen flower i like those types of mind blowing movies that leaves you overwhelmed and questioning why you're still on this planet. I have watched the king and the clown yesterday and It resonated with me so much that I can't seem to stop rewatching scenes, bloopers and the making of it, and like you said joon gi's acting is stunning and addictive! like once you watch one of his works you can't help but watch more and more. Anyways thanks again for the explanation ❤️
