Great video! Just want to give a bit more regarding Union and Intersect around the @13:37 mark.
Let's say I have 2 filters and 5 products.
Filter A = Product 1, Product 2, Product 3
Filter B = Product 1, Product 4, Product 5
If I use Union and I select both filters
I will see all 5 products. Because it's just showing me all products that matches that filter.
If I select Intersect
I will only see Product 1 because it's the only product that in Filter A and Filter B. That product "intersects" both Filter A and Filter B.

Great video as always, Paul. One question: You mentioned "Query ID" a few times, where I can add this query ID to reference to a certain filter? In Post Archive widget?

Did you ever get Union vs Intersection explained? Only relevant when a filter can query for more than one value. In your example, Property Type is like that. The problem is this: When you click on two checkboxes when filtering, what do you mean? Do you want the user to see Properties of either Property Type in the results? If so, you want Union (logical or). Or do you want the user to see only those Properties that have both Property Types checked. In that case, you want Intersection (logical and). Because, in your demo website, your Properties only have one Property Type, Union is the right choice. But, if a Property could be two Property Types simultaneously - if it were sensible to assign more than one term to a post -, then you'd have to decide when making the smartfilter whether it's going to return results which meet *either* of the individual terms (union) or only those that match *both* terms (intersection). Hey, Paul. Quick question for you. Can JetFilters be used with a regular post widget that's pulling in posts using a custom loop created in Ele Custom Skin? This filtering plugin seems to have much more styling options when compared with Facet WP and Search & Filter Pro.

Great vid as usual. How have you found the speed on the filters. I have 1000 posts with the indexer enabled and the filter takes 5 seconds to display the results. Any advice would be great.

I've spent the last few hours with your videos setting everything up. Just one question, in your second video you jump from images with padding to full bleed images in your display grid, could you please let me know how you formatted this or where I may have missed the answer in either part 1, part 2 or another video you've made?
I've tried various image sizes and no matter what I do, still end up with padding - bonus points if you could let me know how you rounded the the corners.

just wondering if you have done a video integrating the custom map and building out a search showing all your property locations, near a specific location or nearby to the users current location? kind of like google maps but with the results focused on the properties/ business listings featured on the site?

Using Jet Engine, I created a taxonomy for the product page and inside my product page, I assign a number to it, for example, the car chassis number is actually an ID, and using the smart filter plugin, I put a search filter and put it inside my product archive page. I want to search for products based on that ID, but it does not call, what could be the reason
So the sorter will not work with meta values and afc?

I have a question about search widget. I tried with default wordpress search, but its only search the title, not the whole content of the CPT. I tried set to custom query to my meta CPT but its not working at all. Please help me, how to make the search widget also search the content not only by the title.
I've been following your video tutorials with good success. I have run into an issue where on using more than one filter in combination produces nothing bar a message. But when each filter is used independently they work. Any helpful pointers if you have? thanks
Hi Paul, have you had issues with JetSmartFilters not being able to use content from repeater fields? Mine just wont filter anything created with a repeater.
I have a post type of tours, the title is the city, I'm trying to create a smart filter with select, the data source is taken from the posts and post type "tours", but what's the "Query Variable" for that? I already tried several ways but I can't make it work. so I need to enter the "Query Variable" I think that should be the post title but what's the variable for that? Hope you can help me. Thank you.
Thanks Paul, question though, can jetsmartfilters be used independently with woocommerce? So create a custom shop page with elementor and just use jsf.

Hi, thank you for your passion of applying Crocoblock. I have learned a lot through your tutorial. And I have one question for the Car Demo site Ads Input field. In demo site, the Car Model hierachy filter can be done within Brand but when we input the Model in Car Ads add section we cannot select the Model within Brand. If the car models are so many listing too long in the selection field I think customers can feel so inconvenient to select the exact model in that long listing field.
So I am wondering that in the Input Ads stage of the Car model, can we filter the model within Brand same as Hierarchy Filter function? What I mean is if we select some Brand then in the Model selection only the Brand related models are shown in the field then the customers can select their model in the some less amount of list.

Great video. How do I display fallback content/message/template if the search query returns nothing? I currently have a search locator map listing built with all cities and states which are serviced by my client. However, when a city is typed and nothing matches, it just removes all markers from the map and shows no content. I would simply like to display a fallback message or template if the city search returns nothing. Is this possible?
HELP! I followed this video and the one before it but I am running into 2 issues. One, when I do a checkbox filter not all of my options are showing up (14/30) and it is not filtering. It says that there are zero results for each of the fields, but when I click them nothing changes. I'm not sure if you have any advice on how to remedy this problem, but I thought I'd ask. Thanks!
Hey Paul, good one again! In do prefer ACF & CPTUI oder Jet Engine - BUT - Facetwp is causing a lot of trouble regarding caching and their filter system. I think Jet Smart Filter is working great especially within Elementor Pro!
Did you figure out a way to combine ACF & CPTUI together with Jet Smart Filter - officially they say it is not working ... Any tips or suggestions are really appreciated ! Have a GREAT DAY Paul !!!

I have a problem with JetSmartFilters. Crocobloc support tells me that there is no filtering possible for widgets like Elementor Pro's “Price Table”. However I am looking for a solution because I have a lot of "Price Tables".
If we apply the filters to several sections that integrate a widget (no matter which one), can we filter these sections?
Note that I am talking about the template section, because they have categories and this is useful for filters.
If I put a Price Table in each section it will be good you think?

Not a lot. I have tested it briefly in the past and wasn't overly bothered about using it on a project/demo.
If you're using Elementor, I would stick with the Hello theme.

i have a problem. I use JetSmartFilters. everything work perfect in all pages like archives and ... except the Search Result page. the URL in search Result Page is like
"mysite.com/?s=TheSearchWord&post_type=product&type_aws=true"
and when I start to filter in Results the URL changes to
"mysite.com/?jet-smart-filters=woocommerce-archive/default&_tax_query_field_of_study=272"
and all results gone away! can you help me how should I combine these two query selector URLs?

The dynamic woocommerce price range is not dynamic at all as it is not indexable (yet). Huge problem because you can filter up to the point where there is no result which is so not good.

Mi meta en este momento es crear un blog de pancakes donde la gente pueda buscar recetas de pancakes hasta con 5 niveles de filtros. Es decir, el primer filtro es si eres hombre o mujer, el segundo es pancake dulce o salado, el tercero es, vegetariano o no vegetariano, etc, etc.
Cuando un usuario llegue a la pagina, filtrara las recetas segun las relationships, un ejemplo, hombre, salado y vegetariano. Entonces se mostraran las recetas que contengan los tags/metafields de hombre, salado y vegetariano.
Mi pregunta es, tu crees que puedo hacer eso con Jet Engine?

Seems pretty straightforward, but for some infuriating reason I can't understand, when I go to select a filter check box, ALL the posts disappear. Have to refresh the page to get the posts back. I've deleted everything and started over twice to the same result. What the *bleep* am I doing wrong?
To answer my own question for any people struggling out there with the same issue - it was a taxonomy conflict. Turns out the new custom post type had taxonomies with the same Name as the regular post categories. Even though the taxonomy slugs were unique, the filter wouldn't work until I changed the name too.
Their documentations sucks - All that power has to be documented !!!!
