THANK YOU!!! Your #1 pick was SPOT ON and, out of the half dozen other YT commentators who have made 3D lists, yours is the only one I've found who even acknowledged this awesome film that (no apologies to "Argo") SHOULD have won Best Picture that year. I'm especially mesmerized by the opening 3D credits on "Pi", and everyone should see it for that alone. Also, cool deserved shout out to "The Walk". Wish everyone could see it in 3D, too
I would add ‘Legend of the Guardians’ - sourced mine from Italy - and ‘Sin City 2’ but not for the faint of heart. Overall, great choices you have made and you are very easy to listen to and your passion for 3D comes across well.
@@truegatorguyodonnell5092 Nice to hear your appreciation for Sin City 2 - very hard to find a 3D copy, but stunning when viewed with one of the JVC laser projectors which upscale to 4K plus for your 3D pleasure .
Good list - I’m glad Tron Legacy was taken off because it has some of the most non-existent native 3-D I’ve ever seen. The filmmakers totally blew it. Tons of potential wasted. Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’hoole is in my top ten, as are Thunder and the House of Magic and A Turtle’s Tale: Sammy’s Adventures. Actually, I think a top ten 3-D CGI animation list needs to happen. Thank you for mentioning Puss In Boots, an excellent film with excellent 3-D, very underrated in my opinion. I still haven’t seen your #1, Life of Pi. I need to remedy that.
Nice list, love your passion for the format 😊 I’m huge 3d guy and still haven’t got around to life pi! Maybe I’ll wait until VR headsets to get a more perfect experience rather than in my jvc x9000
@@icriticmedia770 a list of the best 50/50 depth movies... you have mentioned several times... assuming 50:50 means half In the screen and half popout? Would love to see a list of best 50:50 3d top 20 thanks
I have all of the titles in your list and totally agreed with it. It might be fun if you were to do a list of the best 3D films from the original era of dimensional movies: the 1950’s.
I have some of the titles you showed. There are a few I have that are great in 3-D. The man who wasn’t there 1983 3-D was fantastic. Treasure of the four crowns 1983. Fantastic in 3-D. Monsters vs aliens in 3-D, one scene you have a little man floating towards your nose. I know jaws 3 is not the most loved movie but fantastic in 3-D especially during the opening credits. That was just to mention a few.
Oz is reference 3D in my opinion and so is Ant-Man. The waterfall scene in Oz feels like you're on a roller coaster and same for the Ant-Man bathtub scene. You feel as if you are a tiny ant in a bath tub and a tsunami with 200 feet waves, is headed your way.
Dr Strange isn't filmed with dual lenses, it's digitally made 3D out of 2D footage. I would agree that it's well done considering that, it's got a better perspective than Transformers but it sure shouldn't be on a top 10 list. When it comes to 3D rendered movies, they will basicly all have a good perspective. I do feel like Harlock is slightly lacking compared to other 3D-rendered movies. I haven't done a top 10 3D-bluray list, but I feel like the two movies that probably should be included in everyones list would be Hugo and The Martian. Personally I would put Pixels high up too, I know that it's not for everyone but I think it's hard to argue against it's 3D, it's pretty good. Not sure it would be in the top 10 but it sure is enhanced by the 3D. If only most high budget movies would have as good 3D perspective as the mentioned, 3D might just not have failed. I feel as tho the good 3D movies are already getting quite collectable and they'll probably fetch a high price in the future, so I'm on the hunt for sure.
I enjoy your videos you upload to your channel. I love 3D so much I upgraded my room to black dark with black padding on all my walls and ceiling, I have a 130"'Elite screen & a Epson projector 3020 3D projector. Panasonic 3D player. my effects are so powerful know I replaced the lamp 300 watts 70 volts Epson & sunny pro. Yamaha amp 115X 11 Channes and power Sub & I have 127 3D movies.
I have heard Coraline is really good in 3D. As well as Mad Max 3D.
Coraline is GREAT in 3D!

Second your nod to "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" in 3D!

Good stuff, brother. What a different new look! Didn't recognize you in the thumbnail.
Please make a best list of 50:50 3d movies. Thanks. You have inspired me to get back into 3d collecting. 👏👏💪🏼
Great picks. I was crushed that spider-verse 2 was only released flat!

I just got alita for 10 dollars on amazon! Pretty excited to get it!
New list with all the good 3D movies, since there are way more than 10.
I listen to them more as a podcast, so a longer runtime is actually preferred
Awesome video 👍🏻
New subscriber.
Any plans for another top 10?
Possibly. Any suggestions?!

Awsome list... is there a solid spot to buy 3d bluray? Other than Amazon and eBay.
Yeah, do the Marvel list.

I do love Monsters vs. Aliens 3D presentation (and the movie itself is pretty good too).

Hah i was just posting on someone elses video that Tron Legacy, Dredd and Edge of Tomorrow were my top 3. But i forgot about Life of Pi.
