NX CAD : Project Curves from Sketch or Offset Curves in Face ?

I am not an expert of NX and I can slightly see the difference, anyway there is a theoretical difference between the 2 methods. In the first you offset the curve of 13 mm on a plane and then project it onto a curved (sur)face. This means that the projected curve on the (sur)face is a little more far away from the face edge of 13 mm if you measure it along the (sur)face itself. In the secon method the offset curve is 13 mm from the edge along the surface itself. Or converserly, if you re-project both method 1 and 2 offset curves on a plane, they don't coincide.
