Inspiring! This is what makes mtb the best sport, you first see something like rampage and think you'll never be able to hit it and then you can eventually work your way up and get there! Great vid as always mate.
Thanks mate! Yes you are absolutely spot on,.such a great sport. Such a good feeling of accomplishment to be able to ride features that used to terrify you.
It's not too bad, the lip is fine, but when you think you have enough speed, throw in a couple more pedals. Pretty hard to go too deep, but easy to case. Good luck!
Thanks Hamish, really good riding with you and Anton, super impressed that you guys got it done. Agree, we have to do it again soon, so we don't forget!
Everyone making this so easy It's great to see a story with some of the discussions (and hesitations!) around making big things happen included. It's just missing the many hours of riding practice every week to get to the point that riding a trail like this for the first time can go off smoothly... (some short landings making for big cases, and aborted runs resulting in high-speed off-trail excursions is still smooth compared to many of the possible outcomes [that's a smooshed face]). @RyanDillonMTB you've definitely been putting in the effort. @hamishc.s3777 mentions "mind tricks" but that's totally the way it should be! It's the people that don't consider the consequences that end up injured and off the bike the most, and if it wasn't for the adrenaline kick would we even bother with stuff like this? Good work mate; understanding the consequences, hesitating, testing, thinking, comparing to your skills and experience, then riding only when you have no doubt is going to get you to "crazier" things. Riding high-consequence stuff and taking risks do not need to be synonymous.
Ha ha, yes that is exactly the kind of face I was worried about! 😅 Some wise words there in regards to risk taking. I often find it hard to judge whether I have the skill or not, but it definitely helps being able to study other riders and see what they are doing. Thanks again for your help and great to ride with you as always!
Hey David, I've ridden it a couple of times, thought it was ok. There are some challenging jumps on it, but definitely worth a look. Let me know how you go!
Hey man, big fan of your content, I currently mtb in Perth although none of my friends do, would you suggest any ways to get involved in the Perth mtb community
Hey mate, thanks for the comment! Other than convincing your friends to take it up (I'm sure you've tried!) you could post up on one of the mtb groups (KMBC, WA mtb) and just saying you're heading out for a ride and happy for company. Other than that, the KMBC monthly social rides are a really good way to meet people, and to learn the trails. Good luck and have fun!
Ha ha, yeah sorry about that 😅 think it's just habit. Yes I know the feeling, definitely helps having other people hit them first, helps make them seem more doable. Thx for the comment
@@RyanDillonMTB the on off is really easy 🤙 the speed you land with from the corner double will carry you on and off perfectly. It’s that double out of the corner after on and off that’s a real tester but if you get it then the big shark fin is nothing. I had a big crash on the double before first moon booter. Over jumped the double before top moon booter and missed corner and went straight over the berm head first off the edge. Smashed 3 front teeth. 6 stitches in chin and about 10 stitches in my knee. Smashed front off my full face helmet👎 haven’t been up the top since tho watching Elijah is gettin me amped to give them a crack again! Good luck with the on off on your next trip out there 🤙
Oh wow that sounds like a massive off, sorry to hear it. Thank god you were wearing a full-face hey? Hate to think how much worse it could have been.. crazy how fast you have to be going at the point, with not a lot of room for error. Thanks for the advice re the on-off, will def give that a go next time, not sure about the jump after though ha ha
Yeah it was a fox proframe full face. Smashed the chin part straight down the middle. I learnt if doing that sort of stuff to buy a down hill rated helmet and it probably would of prevented loosing teeth. The fox rampage comp is what I got and is basically motor bike helmet and is 100percent stronger. You’ll do the on off easy if your doing the bottom part 🤙 yeah the one after on off I did not do for ages and first go cased an busted a rim. You can’t brake at all after that on off and carry every bit of speed around that berm. I don’t think it’s possible to over jump as it’s a struggle to get just enough speed as it is.
And here I was thinking that the proframe was downhill rated! 😬 The first time I saw that jump you could see where it had been fifty fifty'd, scary stuff. Maybe one day ha ha. Cheers!

Is the last one hard? Any tips on hitting it?

Thanks Kepler,.and cheers for the feedback. Hopefully a bit more Rampage content still to come 🤞
Good video Ryan! I’ve still got that legacy road gap to nail…now the bar raised again! 😂 great effort lads!
Cheers Matt! Thanks for leaving a comment and sorry for upping the ante on you already 😅
You've beaten us to it. Well done, mate 👏👍
Thanks Pete! Good luck with it mate, would love to see a vid of it.
That was sooo sick, what a great line to have pieced together
Thanks mate! Yeah it's a great line, jumps are so well built. Good luck ticking them off
Great work. Thinking I’m gonna hit the others soon just gotta fix my back rim as it’s been bent from riding at Pemberton, WA gravity enduro.
Thanks mate! That sucks about your wheel, hope it didn't affect your race too much.
Awesome work gent's love the fireworks 💪💪👍
Ha ha, cheers mate, been playing with the video editor. Hope you're doing well 👍
Good job to all the boys out there🎉 it's left me keen to do the rest of the bottom line now
Thanks Kingy! Good luck you've got it 🤟
Nice, my lads slowing working on this, he’s got the last two so far. Good work mate.
Thanks Brad. That's a great start, reckon he'll be able to get these ones too.
Saw you there today😊
Thanks for saying hello! How was the rest of your ride?

😂 dang sorry mate ha ha
My palms are sweating just watching this

legends
i need to go goaty again
I have done these jumps but I have ever done legacy road gap 😅
Nice Luka, you will get the legacy road gap easy after doing these
Wow! Those gaps are huge!
Thanks! Yeah the are nuts! It's the big booter jumps that I'm worried about the most, looks like they shoot you so high 😱
Dude straya. Measurements in metres thanks.
I was eyeballing these jumps the other morning. Literally made me feel uneasy just looking at them.
Ha ha, yeah sorry about that 😅 think it's just habit. Yes I know the feeling, definitely helps having other people hit them first, helps make them seem more doable. Thx for the comment
attemped one of the smallest jumps today and i cleared it and the stacked it on my second attempt
Ah no! Hope you were ok? Well done on clearing it though
Broke my collarbone and wrist doing second last
Sorry to hear that man. Hope it's all healed up ok
Bottom half is easier and pretty forgiving… it’s the top half that tests you 🤙
Oh damn that's not what I want to hear ha ha. Thanks for the heads up though, probably gonna try the on-off jump in the middle next.
