Yep. Nice and simple but results in a good sound. I made mine a little more "classic trance" and not so UK hard, but nice. Another bass to add to my list of vital presets to play with. Thanks.
They are very similar. They both do most of the same things. The wavetable editors are quite different and the FX racks could give different results. Vitals preset system is much nicer in my opinion. If Vital had been released first I probably wouldn’t have bought Serum.
@@RewiredRecords If you sampled, then the sound frequencies will not get confused?? That's my problem, that's why I asked you Thanks, please give more hard trance tutorials There are few hard trance tutorials
Personal preference. If I was using a midi pack and all the midi files had the bass on a certain octave it would make more sense to change octave in vst than on every midi if I wanted to listen through them until I found one I liked. Also if you were using a midi keyboard you could set the bass to the area of the keyboard you want by adjusting the pitch in the vst

Awesome stuff, you make it alot less confusing to achieve that sound than most of the other videos I've watched.

top tutorial yet again Ste. Thank you
That turned out really good. Looking forward to giving it a try. Has a really nice classic sound, which is what you want with hard trance isn't it
Class that 👌
Gonna try this synth, thanks for tutorial!
Wow. Thanks Ste. Love this 🤩 Appreciate it.
Very useful, thanks
So serious question. What can Serum do that this can’t because they seem very similar operation wise. ?

good video love the kick drum is nice and punchy what preset is it from?
I sampled it from a track from the Gary D - D Trance albums. I guess it was called Forkpower
How did you sample a song??
Play song in FL, open Edison on the master channel, press record.

@moeinaskari5075 sorry I don’t understand the question. I just found a part of the song where the kick drum was alone, and recorded it / cut it out
is there any reason why i always see folks dropping the oscillator transpose by one or two octaves rather than just lowering the pitch in the MIDI?
