In this soft spoken storytelling ASMR video, I tell you about the History of Alchemy: how it appeared, what it is about, some famous real or fictional alchemists such as Jabir Al-Hayyan, Albertus Magnus, Roger Bacon, Nicolas Flamel, Jean-Baptiste Van Helmont, Paracelsus or Tycho Brahe, and how the science of chemistry walked hand-in-hand with it until the development of the scientific method.
We also explore a new ghost town: the Island of Hashima in Japan.

Hello Mr Whisperer! I was keeping a close eye out for the reposting of this video. I laid down & started listening to your ant video. Of course I fell asleep & woke up to find this story. To be sure I'll be watching it initially fully awake, so that I don't miss a thing. It looks like you put a great deal of time & imagination into this. @@TheFrenchWhispererASMR Have you ever seen La Planète sauvage? I feel like its kind of science fiction horror but it was an incredible animated French Film in the 70s. Totally mind blowing too. PS Drouant was unfortunately closed for renovations until November! But we ate at Le Santal and had some delicious Pho which was perfect after eating French food everyday. Ok so I thought I couldn’t love u any more but u have a husky!! I love my big white husky. This is give me a good giggle before settling down to fall asleep.
She's actually an Alaskan Malamute (it's easy to mistake them, Malamutes are generally a bit heavier, slower, but more resistant than huskies). Characterwise, they also tend to be a bit quieter - even though mine really isn't ;).
