I still can't see the rationale in creating a game that has such limited movement and defensive options, while characters are throwing out nuclear explosions for their buttons and specials.
The game's balance is going in the right direction imo. Eighting generally make game that are basically matches of rocket tag but DNF feels to be on the lower end of that spectrum which I like compared to something like MVC3.
Pretty hype to see my main grappler win a tournament he has such a hard time in general but once he gets going and your opponent doesn't use lows grappler is mega scary with his damage being able to 2 or 3 touch the cast.
Cool video. Don't care for DNF Duel myself cause it's too crazy for me, but after that first patch and rooming with a guy who made top 48 at Frostys, I got mad respect for the people who stick with it, yall do deserver better, Eighting kinda wack with the lack of communication.

I'm a bit frustrated as an Inquisitor player because those three touches have to be earned in a back and forth neutral for us, but then I get hit for an easy 90% or TOD from Berserker, and Sader and other top tiers do not have to work at all for those two openings they need to kill. I think we'll see some balance adjustments and more characters at ARC Revo finals!

I wouldn't even use Dragonball Z Fighter or even Tekken 7 for the matter as a reference for broken characters. Both of those studios purposely released characters in those broken state for it to sell DLCs and fully aware that they are doing it. It also force the competitive scene to pick them or lose brackets. Then once the next DLC character get announce, they completely nerf the character because the new one happen to be even more broken. It one of the most unhealthy business tactic I ever seen in the fighting game genre that no one called them out on to stop it. It ruined the online experience and the competitive scene.
Striker is the most balanced character in a game where everyone is busted, in the last patch we got in December she barely got touched, most of her changes now her to extend combos, everything else stayed. Striker is still top teir don't get me wrong but she not as big as a treat as everyone thinks
I don't know why the fgc was so quick to break out a eulogy for this game. It's great. It doesn't have patches out the wazoo but Arc-sys always does quality over quantity patches. It's a shame people are in such a rush to kill a perfectly good fighter.
imo dnf duel is just doing too little to late, I mean we still havent even gotten the first dlc character yet. For the 40 people left playing I do hope neople/8ing keep updating the game but I doubt it'll see a big resurgence, especially with there being so many other fg releases rn (tekken 8, guilty gear, sf6, granblue fantasy rising etc.).
I will said one thing as someone living in Korea and studying Game Art in Korea DNF will only stop be update if Nexon doesnt it.. if about money they have too much like too much the only problem is nexon is famous for dump money and give up... DNF was the result of they trying to expend the Dungeon and Fighter franchise to other media, they didnt had any hope to DNF duel and even the game selled more than they expected because they didnt expected the game to have so many tournament and for a big surprise Dungeon and Fighter players count go a huge bust that why the Season 1 come so late and even now they already working on Season 2 that why there no many news after the patch
i liked big balance patch and how game feels right now and proportion of buffs between strong and weak characters was fair. except the amount of zerker buffs it's just stupid
Why does everyone say grappler sucks? He has literally the best abuse against bad nerves: an 80% combo you can't block. When you got a tournament to win, shield stays up. Grappler is the perfect tourney stomper
I liked the game but the reality is On PC theres just actually no one playing the game. Its hard to find a match and when you do its someone you played recently. I couldn’t recommend this game to anyone at this point

DNF Duel is an offshoot of Dungeon Fighter Online.
With the exception of lost warrior, all the characters are just subclasses from DFO.
