So I made this entire video in one sitting tonight! It was a lot of fun. I've been dying to vid Jeremy/Elena for ages, especially after their last phone call scene - Elena crying made me cry. I love them so much. Of all the sibling relationships on TV, Jeremy/Elena is one I relate to more than most. I have a brother who's two years younger than me, and in some ways I do relate to Elena and my brother is also a bit like Jeremy. ;) I relate to maybe Amber/Drew on Parenthood and some other sibling relationships too but in general I think maybe Elena/Jeremy is one I relate to the most, and for that reason I really love them a lot. I tend to always love all family relationships if done well on TV shows though... angst-filled ones and loving ones, ones I relate to and ones I don't.
I had been planning to maybe make a Jeremy/Elena collab with meesa96 before season 2 had even finished airing but she got too busy to vid much so we never did that... we never finished a previous multi-couples collab we'd been doing together either even. And pitufa003 & I had planned to, after the season 3 finale aired, make a Jeremy/Elena collab set to this song quite recently. But then today I really really wanted to vid TVD, I have a lot of ideas for a Caroline vid and for an Elena vid but I was most inspired to vid Jeremy/Elena right now and so I searched for a different song that could fit Jeremy/Elena too so this song here could be saved for the Jeremy/Elena vid pitufa003 & I would make. The song I found was so perfect though that pitufa003 said she'd rather that be the one we collab and she gave me permission to vid this one on my own tonight. So I did! And here's the final product. :D

The scene where Elena gives Jeremy a comforting cuddle after Vicki died was ever so caring
Yes it's so extremely caring, what a wonderful way to express her love for him and wish to comfort him in this pain.
This was so good 😍🥰 I love everything the coloring the beats the emotion 🤯 I love how much elena tries to protect him even though it means she will loose him in the end
This is a really touching depiction of their relationship. I love all the voice overs and the clip match at 1:05 with Jeremy reading Elena's diary to "all the things we should have said that we never said". Overall all, I really like this. They're so under vidded and this is a beautiful tribute for them.
(2) Then I couldn't hold back my tears at "I should be crying but I just can't let it show", it shows just how much Jeremy is willing to take for his big sister :) The other breathtaking part for me was "Of all the things we should've said that were never said" when he's reading Elena's journal, amazing choice of scenes! I mean, the whole thing is beautiful and extremely moving, but these would be my favorite parts ;) I'm SO glad you vidded it on your own because I'm not sure I would've been...
I love this. They are so undervidded and their relationship is very sweet. I think Elena's need to protect her brother is one of her more endearing qualities. I think you did a great job of showing all the ups and downs. Great vid :)

This is gorgeous, love the editing and the colouring and the quotes used. Their relationship is so real and that is why I like it its true to real life siblings and the way they are only they have a special bond given the whole vamp thing aunt jenna and their parents dying! Jer brings out the true intent of elena a lot of times his involvement makes things clear to her.

That's such a perfect Jeremy/Elena video!! It's clear you have a lot of appreciation for their relationship, it really shows in this video. I can't relate to them as much, my brother and I were more like Andrew/Danielle Van de Kamp when we lived at home lmao! Yeah I'm kinda surprised myself that I was able to finish it and make it this good in only one night, but I did vid for pretty much 5 hours straight, sacrificing a lot of sleep and stuff haha. :P Thank you SO much for the epic 3-part comment. Aw God, this is absolutely beautiful! I adore Elena/Jeremy too, they're probably the only relationship on the show that makes me teary every single time it's on screen (the "I still have you" moment made me cry even harder than Jenna's funeral) ='] The way you depicted it is simply perfect, you included all the most significant moments and matched the lyrics incredibly well - the whole part from 0:33 to 0:55 is stunning, but I also loved "All the things we should have said" with Jeremy...
Aaaww OMG Emily this is one of the best videos you've ever done! You made me cry my eyes out!! I love the voice overs you used. You really communicated how much these two mean to each other, particularly Elena's desperation to protect him. Gah you made this in one night? I'm impressed! It's just perfect. I still love them in season 4 which is great, I hope they have many more sweet and loving moments on the show and that they never ruin Jeremy's character nor make him leave the show permanently or something. I really adore their relationship, it's definitely one of my favorite platonic relationships on TV too. They're just beautiful. I'm so glad you liked my vid enough for it to make you tear up. ;)

That was awesome!! You included so many great aspects of their relationship! I love their relationship so much, and I wish my brother and I were like that...hopefully one day we will be when he matures some more (he's 4 years younger than me).
Yay I keep getting comments about how people can't compare their sibling relationship to these two but finally you come along and say you understand how I can relate to it because you relate to it too. :D That's nice haha. Yeah me and my little brother have always been pretty close and especially brother/sister relationships being this close is rare on TV, brothers or sisters is a bit more common (like what you see with Stefan/Damon even is the more typical type of sibling relationship on TV).
I miss Jeremy i want to believe he will came back i still can't face it that he is gone.
He's supposed to be 2 years younger than her actually I think. :P She turned 18 in 3x01 and I think in the episode when she decides to send him away in season 3 she mentions him being 16. And yeah I know my brother is 2 years younger than me and I never have thought of him as all that much younger than me. Lol. So the "he's just a kid" line does ring a bit funny to my ears as well.

Yeah well Caroline didn't exactly respect her father's choice and kept pressuring him to change his mind. I think when it's your own family member, it's harder to not want to make decisions for them lol. I totally agree with you. ;) And yay I really can't wait to see your thoughts on them lol! I plan to post more Veronica Mars vids soon, I'm so obsessed with that show right now.
(Part 2 of my reply this time) I mean he went to the same high school as me for one year and he was the "popular" one, I was just his big sister. Lol. I tended to stay only in the chorus in a school musical, he'd actually be willing to try out for a lead. He wasn't afraid to stay in chorus from 4th grade-on til now in his sophomore year of college or play a girly instrument like a flute and he started guitar before I ever did. He always kinda had that artistic side to him and even tried editing

... finding out the truth about Vicki and "All the things that you wanted for me" - which is pretty amazing because I hated that scene on the show. Kudos on the coloring too, I'm always jealous at how gorgeous it looks on your TVD videos ^^ And I know what you mean about this song "owning your soul", I have listened to little else in the month after it was played on TVD ;D
Emily! Though I'd reply here instead of back to your lovely long message ;) And I DO watch TVD, I just don't vid it! I love this :) Voiceovers are my fav thing, especially well chosen and positioned ones, if you know what I mean? All your voiceovers are just perfect with the volume, place etc. The video in general is beautiful :)
Thank you so much! :D Yeah I mean there are definitely differences between me & my brother vs. Jeremy/Elena. But I see some similarities. I think they are closer because of losing their parents and all they dealt with and I think me and my brother always were kinda closer than average because we both had to keep each other sane despite our crazy mother. My brother sometimes tried to protect me from my mom similarly to the way Jeremy seems to want to protect Elena from Damon at the end of 2x01...
(Part 3) fanvideos briefly after seeing me do it a bunch, he made like 9 fanvideos before giving it up, it wasn't for him, but he did really understand it at some point. :D IAmSiriuslyBlack is his RUclips channel. ;) He always was more willing to try new foods and tended to like more of them than me. I'm closer with my dad than my brother now. But growing up we spent SO MUCH of our time together, always watched the same TV shows together, hung out w/ the same other kids in the neighborhoods. ;)
Lol yeah I totally agree with you. I do. ;) And yeah I can't wait for you to watch the show! I really hope you like it when you do watch it! :D It is kinda different from all of the shows we have in common. I see similarities with Chuck - Sarah & Veronica are both kinda similar and the shows both have a lot of humor and extreme drama too - and similarities with TVD in that both VM and TVD are kinda "high school" shows but not typical high school shows... idk. ;)

Thank you! :D Sorry I didn't do this coloring (or something similar) for your video, you said something "bright" though lol so I had been trying to go for something less brown.
My brother never really had too many opportunities to protect me or want to, and if it wasn't for our mother I'm not sure he would've had that side to him. We were always in some ways opposite personalities and yet in some other important ways we're exactly the same lol. When it came to my mom torturing us, he'd be the more patient one, quieter one, waiting it out, and I couldn't do that, I had to yell back, defend myself, etc. At school he always was more outgoing and me more quiet.

Waaah. Elena and Jeremy might actually be my favourite (platonic) relationship on TVD. Obviously they got past this, but this made me tear up for them.
It's probably because I've never dated anyone and never had too many close friends... and haven't had much to deal with in my life except my very complicated/bad relationship with my mother - and because my brother & I grew up having that to deal with we were always closer than many siblings were. And also my dad probably would have been a perfect and amazing dad either way but I think because my parents divorced & I lived with my mom I always appreciated my dad even more. ;) And we got closer.

Which scene, the first time Elena makes Jeremy forget (the voiceover) or the second time she does (more of what I showed)? I really hated the second time that she made that decision for him lol but I get where she was coming from and can forgive her since her intentions were good lol. The song is always credited (title and artist - the artist is who sings the song) in my end credits at the end of my videos (in this case at 1:58 or so the credits start) and also in my description at the bottom (but if there are voiceovers like in this video, above them). Also in the case of this video, as with many fanvideos on RUclips, the song was automatically detected by RUclips so you can see the song title/who sings it underneath the bottom right corner of the vid, under the view count.
I didn't cry at all either - not even during Elena's freak out for me, actually. And I generally cry for everything. But I think it's a combination of what you said but also that: Jeremy didn't get a tearful "last word" or a tearful goodbye with anyone the way Alaric or other characters did. And they didn't have any slow sad scenes with the right tear-jerking music. Tearjerking moments need to be orchestrated just right, like the words of John's letter with the music. Elena was too frantic.

(Part 2 of my reply) so basically what I'm trying to say is I think the reason I love family relationships so much and am able to vid them so well is because I relate a lot to them and they're kinda all I know. My whole life has been kinda boring and simple and not much has happened in it except for family things. :P That's also why my fanfiction so far has tried to be more about what I know - a lot of family stuff. :P

(Part 2) ...and my brother is more the type to drink/try drugs like Jeremy was vs. me & Elena, and he had sex at a younger age than me like Jeremy vs. Elena... and both my brother & Jeremy are pretty sensitive/emotional/sweet. The way Elena hates their Uncle John from his first appearance on the show but Jeremy kind of tries to keep up a relationship with him seems similar to what I did with my mom vs. my brother for a while. Elena's a bit more concerned for him than I am for my bro but yeah. ;)

My brother is so not the type to try and protect me, nor is he sensitive or emotional, but I guess he's similar to your brother/Jeremy in a way like the drinking/trying drugs, and having sex at a younger age, and I'm more like you/Elena in not doing those things.

Yeah but Caroline's situation was different, she didn't force her father to do anything - which resulted in him choosing his own bigoted beliefs over his daughter's happiness. The television series is titled "The Vampire Diaries". I used many episodes between 1x01 pilot, and the most recent one that had aired as of the time of me making this. Because I made this April 9th-10th, 2012, looking here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_The_Vampire_Diaries_episodes you can see I would've only used through season 3, episode 18 as the final episode that aired, since other episodes had not yet aired at that point.
